On May 13th, ******* came to our house to spray for wasps that were building a nest in our soffit in the upper roof. The soffit was also being pushed out. My wife agreed to pay his $100 fee to spray/dust for wasp removal. When ******* came out, he said he could not only spray the whole house for wasps but also fix the soffit that was coming down. He said for an extra $100 he would do it in the next 5 days. I wrote him a check for $200. ******* has refused to show up since that day. He stated he needed **** clips for his ladder that cost too much and has never come back because he couldn't handle the job he said he could do. He Stated his wife would cut us a check to be delivered on Tuesday May 27th. Check never came. I have sent several text messages that have gone unanswered. He owes me $100, per his text he sent me. I need to escalate this issue. Please help me resolve this.

So when I arrived at the home, ***** stated he thought a huge nest had pushed his facia off of the home. There's a huge 2x8 there, so that's not possible I explained to him, the gap just needs dusted to prevent them from building a big nest snd the facia needs to be tacked back on. I did offer to do both. His wife originally called me, and we agreed to $99 even to treat the wasps. When I arrived I met with *****, who was bouncing back and forth between work calls and speaking to me. I told him, we actually do repairs as well. He asked if I was able to clear the 20ft overhang to get to to the damaged location, I said as long as I can do so, I can use one ladder to get over the ridge, and another ladder to get up to the spot needing repaired. We agreed on an extra $150 to do this. He asked me how much for today and i told him $99 even and I would see how quick I could get back for the repair, as well do have a full customer base of other customers to service and im a one man crew. He said OK, he just wanted it done as soon as possible. As I was about to leave, ***** came out with a check for $199, and not the $99 for the wasps that i was there for. I told him it was only $99 and he just stood there staring at me like he didn't have time, or didn't want to right another check, so I said we'll I guess I can readjust the prices and just charge the extra $49 when I was done, making it $199 for wasps and $49 for repair, as I told him if I get up there, I would only charge $249 total for the wasps and facia repair, which is at least $400 cheaper than anyone else would've charged. I told him I would work with scheduling it in after the rain moved through that was coming in. So we lost at least 3 to 4 days over rain or bad weather, plus weekend days which I do not work weekends.  After speaking with  a colleague I was advised not to go against ****** regulations and do not get on the roof that way, so I didn't. I ordered a set of clips that are supposed to help link the ladders so they are stable, the clips ended up not feeling very safe, so I advised him I would have my wife cut him a reimbursement check for the $100 he overpaid, when we cut checks, we mail them out. As all of this is going on im dealing with my mother near death in ***************** in ******, so I was able to answer his every request or message. He texted me at 6:35am the day before this complaint was filed and said I need to drop that check of today. We do not hand deliver payment checks for reimbursement, no company does. I was dealing with my mother and honestly didn't even see his message until 9:35 at night that same night when he again, called me out of hours to tell me i was refusing to pay him. No one Ever refused to pay this man. I did respond to his message not so politely telling him im not leaving my mother to hand deliver a check to him when my wife handles the checks and mailing then out. So at 9:35 at night, after dealing with my mother dying, I got out of bed, drove to his house and handed him $100 cash. I asked that he never contqxt my company for any reason ever again for his disrespectful attitude towards this situation. He seemed to almost smile at my frustration when I arrived, further irritating the situation. I told him, here's your hundred bucks and thanks for being so professional! This man was paid prior to ever sending this in! Seemed like he didn't get what he wanted to he was going to go out of his way to slander my name and the situation. He only wanted paid back, and he was, just not at his backing call is all. We are a business and we service a large area with over ***************************************************************************** up at 635 in the morning and then again at 935 at night. So rude. Either way I paid this guy, and he still filed a complaint. My wife even suggested he just contact his homeowners and they would set up the repair but im guessing his deductible is much higher than what I was going to charge and I believe in his irritation over the facts, he simply took it out on me. We have spoken to an attorney about the slanderous nature of this complaint, and have decided that while we could take further action against this complaint, we have chosen to take the high road and simply never service his home for any reason ever again. So in all, this was all a huge waste of all our time and the stress added at such a time, was completely unnecessary. End result-PAID!
