I believe they are taking advantage of the local people. I am very aware of my energy intake. I'm currently looking at my usage history. My monthly kwh when I moved in last October. It was below 300 kwh. I haven't changed my usage. Now December bill shows 1100 kwh. January shows over 1800 kwh and February is over 1600 kwh. I talked with locals from my town and they all noticed a significant increase in there bills as well. This company has a monopoly in my area. I believe that is illegal. I also believe we are paying close to the highest energy rate in the nation! I would greatly appreciate someone looking into this very serious issue. Thank you have a good day.

With the extremely cold temperatures, many customers are seeing an increase in electricity consumption correlating with the weather. I am trying to reach our customer to see what assistance I can provide. I tried by phone; however, his voicemail wasn't set up. I emailed 2/28 without response and sent a letter with detailed daily kWh consumption on 3/3 requesting that he contact me to discuss the usage so I can offer assistance.

Mr. **** did contact our customer service department on 3/5/2025 and we were able to discuss the energy usage. He did indicate he was using space heaters and fans which could account for ****** of the bill. The water heating is electric, however is small and only used on demand. He had not received our mailing at the time of the call. Mr. **** will be applying for energy assistance and will review our Residential Income Assistance program to see if he qualifies for a monthly credit.
