I called Seelye Kia of Kalamazoo seeking assistance with my vehicle. My vehicle's engine seized up causing my car to turn off while driving down the road. I towed it to a licensed mechanic who suggested that I contact and actual *** dealership due to there being a recall on 2011- 2014 *** ******** I then contacted Seelye and explained the situation I was having only for one of their associates (****) to tell me they have no history of me being serviced with them, which means I did not get an update on my vehicle in 2016. I informed **** that I did not own the vehicle in 2016 and purchased the vehicle in 2021 so therefore I would not have any information on current or past recall claims. He then told me that anytime a used vehicle is purchased I take on full responsibility of all of the previous owners and that my car did not fall under the warrant of an engine replacement, and that I would be responsible for any recall services. SERIOUSLY!!! So because I didn't make sure that ALL of the previous did not stay current on recalls on a car I had no idea I was going to purchase in the future, I'm being punished? I'm sorry I can't predict the future. Seelye Kia of Kalamazoo is a joke. *** in general.

1 starNever answer or return calls. Don't notify customers when parts arrive. Install parts that are not secure and fail to communicate with customers within a reasonable amount of time. Doesn't care about customers time or satisfaction.Review fromDan B.

5 starsThe Seelye Team is top notch! My experience with them on multiple occasions has far exceeded my expectations. They're friendly and courteous and a complete 180 from what many of us have come to expect from car dealers. Jay and his team offer wonderful customer service. I was a first time car buyer and I was so nervous to even attempt looking because I had heard horror stories about car dealers but once I met Jay I knew I was in great hands! 5 starsOur family began working with ***************************** in 2020. From the beginning he was down to earth and honest. He did not have what we were looking for in inventory at the time but gave us helpful information as to what to avoid when looking at other lots. Since then we have made two purchases directly with him. My most favorite was our 2020 Kia ****** It was sitting in the showroom and I had driven a few SUV's and just wasn't loving them, when he said what about this, meaning the fire engine orange Kia ***** GT?! I absolutely loved the color and called my husband to ask if I should take it for a drive. My husband was quick to run up to the dealership and check it out too! I loved all the safety features the car had to offer and loved driving it. We did not quite have it a year when I was read ended and the impact of the hit totaled the car :(. *** had taken a new position and still was able to help point us to the right person **** 'Pinky' for ultimately our most recent purchase. This purchase took us six months of driving different vehicles before deciding to just make a decision. *** was helpful along the way answering all the many questions we would have and still is someone we know we can count on to point us in the right direction.
