      SCAM SALES PRACTICES. Company uses misleading sales material to create the false impression that document is an official state form that requires a response and payment. Other people have complained of the same practice. Their fake "apology" response claims "Our flyer has multiple disclosures in ALL CAPS so it is clearly seen." This is a lie. There is only one disclosure near the very bottom. The company name only occurs in the return address and in some fine print that reads "Price includes state fee and CPS processing fee." There is zero information about who CPS is or what service they provide.

      It seems as though every year I receive an 'official' looking Annual Report Instruction Form (********** LLCs) asking for payment of $185. and it's NOT the ******** annual report. I have to look it up every year -- and it is a SCAM.

      Sent me and many others fraudulent requests for $200+ to buy an Osha safety manual, describing this as required by the state our business is in. There are hidden fine print details that they don't report to a government agency but the letter is fraudulent and is a scam to try and get you to send money to them for nothing.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I am very grateful for your attention on this matter *****, and all at the Better Business Bureau. As you can see from the businesses response they seem to eloquently proclaim they are doing no wrong and no scam is taking place. But the link I initially sent from the official ****** website calls this very letter out as something to be weary of. 

      I am glad they responded saying they would take me off of their mailing list. That is a good first step. Next they need to stop sending out the form that looks exactly like the state of ******* official form with a few small details changed. It threatens penalties for not filing the form and is very confusing and alarming to receive in the mail.

      If they are a legitimate business then they should be able to drum up business without such fraudulent scare tactics.

      As stated, and ignored in this response, this businesses practice of sending out a fraudulent copy of a legitimate state form with a few of the key details changed to cover their bases needs to be stopped. 

      Its a scam of a practice to try and trick people into parting with their money and BBB should step in to force them to cease and desist if they are at all able to. 

      I sincerely hope no one else falls for this scam.

      I received a solicitation for services from C.P.S *************************************************************************************. The offer was to file the required Business Entity Report for my LLC to the ****************. The timing of the "offer" (a few months before the notice from the state) and the design was clearly intended to look like a bill from the **************** and deceive the recipient into thinking it was a bill on a cursory review. The offer is a scam, charging $150 for a service that takes a few minutes to complete and costs $32.

      CPS provided an explanation that compares the cost of their service to the rates of a Lawyer or an Accountant. That has nothing to do with the actual complaints made by me many others. Their service is not at all necessary, yet they are using deceptive tactics to appear to be so. They time their mailings so they arrive on the day of the tax deadlines in order to create and capitalize on panic. It is highly disruptive to individuals and business owners. The formatting, typography, and graphic design of their advertisement is deliberately posing as a an Official ******************* / State of ***************** mailing. As a world re-known Professor of Design and business owner, I am qualified to make this very clear correlation. Feel free to ****** me and my qualifications. This is textbook deception by a predatory business.

      The mailer we received regarding a safety manual order form is deceptive and attempts to scare companies into ordering their safety manual by citing OSHA'S fines for violations. It was also worded like we already orederd it, and are being invoiced for it. Companies that are aware, or have a Safety Professional on staff wont fall for this. But it seems like a predatory practice towards newly licensed companies.
