    SPAM/Fradulent... we receive multiple calls from this company daily at our Family Practice requesting chart notes and prescriptions for diabetic supplies for patients that do not want to use them as a company and/or never requested supplies through them. Even after we have reported patients do not want to use their services, they still continue to call multiple times requesting private health information.

    Went on ******** Sept.. and fired ******* as they refused to sell me a new mask even though I was their client. Shame on them as I owed them zero money. So I called many cpap suppliers to check ** pay on supplies.Spec. Med. said I pay 20%, ******** pays 80%.Signed up, ordered a new Resmed mask and heated hose.They sent me a non heated non Resmed hose and mask made in ******I sent them back saying not Resmed parts.They sent me a Resmed heated hose from another **mpany and sent a ****** made mask which I sent back indicating I need Resmed mask.The **rrect mask I still wait for.All my calls so far are outsourced to *********** which have been ridiculous.I think they are paid by the minute by keeping you on phone asking the same questions over and over again, unable to perform what is requested of them.Now I am forced to call **rporate in MI.Aso, a bill came for $107 without indicating how much ******** paid.Must deal with that as well.

    Hello ****. I have reviewed your account and apologize for the issue with your supplies. The last time we spoke to you was on 4/11/2024, and you stated that you were not able to hear us. We have tried multiple times after that to reach you for the mask exchange. The bill you are referring to is your ******** deductible. Unfortunately since the supplies have been opened, we are only able to do an exchange. Please reach out to customer service to get this resolved and the correct supplies sent. Thank you!

    Specialty Medical Equipment, I my opinion, is very incompetent/maybe bordering on fraudulent. I have been trying since the end of January to get a replacement CPAP machine. I have gone to the doctor even though I have been using COAP faithfully for over 15 years. My doctor has sent documentation to them over 6 times, and each time I call to check on the order, they are asking for the same information. The supplies that they sent to me are in my opinion cheap and uncomfortable compared to my previous equipment. I cancelled my account with them today.

    Hello ********. I have reviewed the account and we were still waiting for a clear, signed copy of your sleep study. There has been nothing fraudulent on your account. The sleep study copies we received from your physician's office are either not legible or not signed. Since you have never had a Cpap billed to ********* the sleep study must be legible and reviewed prior to receiving the new machine so we can make sure it qualifies per ******** guidelines. Your account has been cancelled and you will no longer receive refill calls from us for your supplies. Please reach out to customer service if you need anything further. Thank you!

    Constantly sending requests for documentation for our patients who do not need supplies nor requested such supplies. SPAM!! Needs to stop harassing elderly patients who do not know better.

    Only because I could not give negative. This company uses high pressure and unclear wordage to get you to get "free" stuff from them then bill you a deductible never mentioned. Stay far away

    ******************. We have reviewed the enrollment call from 2/9/2023 and you stated you have a UHC ******** Advantage Plan. Our agent obtained the plan information and stated that you were qualified for our services. The agent stated your insurance would cover the supplies, but any copays and deductibles would still apply. It was also mentioned if you are QMB eligible, ******** enrolled, or have a supplemental ******** plan that supplies may be covered at 100%. The term free was never mentioned during the enrollment. After reviewing your insurance coverage, your plan does not have a deductible. The bill you received is your coinsurance amount and can also be seen on your UHC explanation of benefits. UHC has already paid their portion of the claim. At Specialty Medical Equipment we strive to provide excellent customer service and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Thank you.

    I received a call from a representative promised to me that I would receive equipment for my CPAP machine. My medical information was sent to my doctors office and I was informed not to use specialty medical equipment because I was receiving equipment from Bensons equipment. They were trying to scam me.

    Our apologies for the late response.  After reviewing your 5/22/2023 enrollment call, there was nothing mentioned about you currently receiving supplies from another provider.  We were notified of the other supplier by your physician's office on 5/25/2023, the order was cancelled, and insurance was not billed for any items.  If you have any further concerns or questions please feel free to reach out to us at ************, or via email at ********************************.
