    Approximate date of transaction: 09/20/2023 HALL FINANCIAL GROUP ran my Credit Card (social security card) and received my personal information, created a finance charge and I didn't receive just compensation...Report ******************************** has yet to resolve this problem...

    Consumer also filed a complaint with the CFPB.  Here is our response.

    Consumer contacted us on September 19th and our *** spoke to her briefly as she stated she was busy and said to contact her the next day.  She did provide enough information to pull her credit report along with her verbal authorization.  The *** contacted her on September 20, 2023 as agreed and stated her middle (qualifying) credit FICO score was 483 and our minimum score for qualification purposes is 580.  The *** let her know there was nothing we could offer to her and denied the loan in our system.

    We did not collect any type of deposit or monies from the consumer.

    I shopped for a Home Equity Line of Credit and had a short list of lenders including Hall Financial that I had used before. While shopping for HELOC's Hall Financial provided all the requirements I wanted in a HELOC. Typical. Nothing out of the ordinary in Mortgage needs. I asked for a HELOC credit Line that I could draw funds as I saw fit with the market the way it was I choose a Variable rate with Draw ability so I could decide in the 10 Year draw period that I could use as I saw fit. What they delivered and told me is not was was done. I was given a check for the amount of HELOC minus the draw for closing and **** loan against the house. They handed me a check in the mail 5 days after closing for the entire balance of the account in a check for 33K. I did not ask for this. I wanted to decide when to pull the money out when the market was right with a Variable rate I wanted to use when I needed it. Hall financial decided for me what I needed and delivered exactly what I didn't want. Since the money came 3 days after closing and not the recession period is over I cannot get out of the mortgage. When I contacted ***** Do the ** of Hall. He indicated that this is the loan they gave me and said I could just take the check and return it to the loan and not use it. He provided no resolution, he provided a get out of my face I closed this deal and now go away!!!!

The Complainant, *******************************, and I have spoken a few times about this situation and we amicably resolved it.  He recently informed me he withdrew this complaint and perhaps the communication I received from BBB (dated Feb. 28, 2023) crossed in the mail. 

     

    Please confirm with ************************** that he is withdrawing this complaint and, hopefully, this matter will be closed.
