    I needed to have a new faucet installed. When Hoover looked at it they indicated that in addition to replacing the faucet, I needed to have the shut off valves replaced as well. I was quoted a price of approximately $1,200. I was told that $600 of that was for the cost of the faucet and that the total cost would be reduced by that amount. If I purchased my own faucet which I did. I put down a deposit of $200 and when they came back to install it they told me I had a balance of over $700. In total they charged me $943 when I was under the impression that it should have been around $600 given that I was quoted approximately $1,200 of which 600 was from the faucet that I provided. I did sign an iPad that said I would pay the "agreed" amount, however, I thought I was agreeing to approximately $600 as the amount was not displayed on the screen where I had to sign. They claimed that they had emailed me the total cost as well. However, that is not true as when the technician went to get my email when they came back he said it was not in their system. I have tried calling multiple times today and keep being told that a manager named Guy will call me back however, the third time I tried to call this evening I was referred to a call center and they are no longer answering their phones.

    You wrote a review 2 hours ago Hoover Electric Plumbing Heating Cooling SENIOR CITIZENS BEWARE my mother 83 yrs old had no heat, she called Hoover because they installed her boiler 7 years ago, the tech was there for 20 min and said boiler is bad, so he quoted an new boiler at $12,700, (the one 8 years ago was $6800. So my mom used her cred card to leave a 3500 deposit, when I asked if the $299 service call will go towards the new boiler he said no WOW JUST WOW, SO I called a friend of mine with his own heating and cooling and said $12700 seems a bit high, he said he would come out and give an estimate tomorrow, so he came out and said boiler just needed cleaning and looks like its been about 5-6 year since cleaning, my mom had the last maintenance done 3 years before (apparently they ripped her off again) my *** also said its a ***** btu boiler and the hoover maintenance *** said she gas a ****** btu boiler and was going to sell her a ****** btu, frigging scammers, we canceled and i called the manager the next day unreal 83 years old trying to steal from her, dont go there they ****

    First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for any distress or inconvenience caused to ******** mother and their family. Our company strives to provide honest and reliable service, and we are truly sorry that their experience did not reflect our standards.

    Summary of the Situation:
    According to the complaint, our technician inspected the boiler and recommended a replacement due to concerns about the units condition. A quote of $12,700 was provided for the installation of a new boiler, and a $3,500 deposit was collected to secure scheduling. The customer later sought a second opinion and decided to cancel the installation. Due to the condition of the boiler and to maintain proper warranties our team sought to offer a replacement option. As it seems the customer decided to just have the boiler cleaned by another contractor. All fees have been reimbursed.
