I bought a $370k Motorhome from General Rv in ******* ********.It was thru the internet and phone. Sight unseen. When we talked by phone on the price I was told it was in an accident and couldnt see pictures because it was being fixed. It was described as minor and was told the entire motorhome would be perfect like new when I got it. When I picked it up I noticed multiple paint issues and was told it would be taken care of. As time passed and no one got back to me I went and got an estimate to be fixed and yet to get a response from them on paying for it. This has gone on for 3 months now. The brand of motorhome has also tried to have the General respond multiple times but with no luck either. Please help getting this issue resolved.

The manufacturer Thor rep came out last week with assistance from GRV tech. The coach at this time is 100%usable and can be picked up anytime. The only concern remaining is cosmetic vinyl on a wall with some wrinkles that the customers wife is unsatisfied with. This has been submitted from General RV to Thor. The repair process at this time is complete as far as it can be until the right parts arrive for the wall that is of concern and will be scheduled at everyones convenience.

The customer picked up his unit two weeks ago, and nothing keeps him from using his RV for camping.   The customer is waiting on a pantry wall where the vinyl has wrinkles, which is only cosmetic. The parts are on order, and the order #is #******S. If the customer likes to track the part with the manufacturer, he is more than welcome since we provided him the number.  Once the part arrives at the service center, we give the customer a call and set up an appointment to have the wall installed.

We stopped by to look at a 5th wheel that was on their lot. After looking and talking we ran a credit app and left, this was on a Friday. Monday comes around and we get the "hey we got you approved". We go in and sit down with the finance manager. We look at the papers and the price went from $28,000 to $33,000ask about this and we are told that it is a dealer prep fee and doc fee. The doc fee was $500 so they charged $4500 for this prep fee, a p.d.i. fee of $2000 and a delivery setup fee of $2500. I did have the camper delivered but was told it would be for free, this is after I refused to buy a $1300 hitch that they were charging $2200 for. I was told the prep fee was because they have a tech go through and check everything to make sure it works, apparently they spend 6 hours no matter if it is a popup or a 40' motorcoach. Also that they have a cleaning person go through and clean it top to bottom. Well as for the cleaning it looked like a $75 a night hotel housekeeping job. Also after they delivered the camper I hooked my truck up to it to check and make sure everything was still working and in good shape, also so we could truly clean it the way the $4500 should have done it first. After hooking up and test things I check the tank levels to see if the level indicators work properly, they work fine and I find that I now have a full grey water and black water tank that I have to pay to dump. In my opinion this place is a rip-off and charge for things that are not done the way they are supposed to be done. I am sure there will be a reply from General RV stating that they are truly sorry and that this isn't how they do business but I know better. If they want to fix my issue, they can refund me that so called dealer prep and delivery fee of $4500 since I had to clean it and also pay to empty and then clean the tanks myself.

General ** is dedicated to addressing customer issues.   The customer bought a preowned ********. The customers first call was on July 3rd regarding their holding tanks. General ** uses a 3rd party company to prep the units; the prep and doc fees will not be reimbursed.  As for the ** cleaning, the Service Manager will return to the customer $250.00. *********** department stated that filling the tanks is part of the testing service to ensure the holding tanks work and the monitor;unfortunately, the holding tanks were not drained.  *********** manager stated that if the customer bought the invoice into the store, they would reimburse him his money back.

General rv now states that they can refund my money. This is after I was told I would not get a refund from them unless I removed a negitive ****** review. I want a refund of the cleaning fee, the inspection fee, the delivery fee and also the taxes I paid on those fees. The camper was not cleaned, there was trim coming loose when delivered and also was charged to deliver when the delivery address was within the 50 mile range.

On Thursday, February 24, 2022, we purchased a motorhome from General RV in Mt. Clemens, MI. When dealing with the finance person, *****, he offered us some additional coverages, such as, ************* extra Warranties, and GAP insurance. We said no to all of that and then he said, "It will only be an increase of $20.00 on your monthly payment." So we thought that was not a bad deal and told him okay. He said the coverages would be in effect for 3 years and we also asked him if our payment would go back down in 3 years and he said yes it would. We checked out the paperwork after we got home, and were surprised to see that the extras cost us an additional $12,102.00. That made our payment go from $378.49 to $451.77, which is an increase of $73.28 and NOT the $20.00 he told us. And the payments were never going to go down after 3 years. We called ***** on Monday, February 28, 2022 and told him we wanted to cancel all of the extras. He told us we had to wait a month to come in and sign the cancellations. (Not sure why we had to wait a month!) We had to go back for a repair on the motorhome on or about March 15, 2022 and we signed the cancellation papers. They were dated for March 24, 2022. We still have not received our money back, which we have been told would apply to our loan, which is fine with us, but it still has not showed up on our loan. We have contacted ***** several times and he just keeps making up explanations such as, "the girls are busy that process that", "it should show up on your next statement", and it will be there in two days. We have also tried to contact the companies which are suppling these extras, and they have said that all cancellations have to go through General RV, and one of the companies said they didn't even deal with General RV. We expect a full refund on these extras as we cancelled in timely fashion. We do live 2 hours away. We would really appreciate some help on getting this resolved.
