I bought a $2000 Howard Miller key wound clock from ******** in December of 2021. It had a 1 year warranty on it and it didnt start giving me problems until shortly after the warranty period had expired. The problems were two fold. Once in a while the clock would stop before running down but, even more often the chimes would stop working before they ran down. I contacted a local Howard Miller technician on it and he said it needed a new movement which is made by *********. They shipped him a new movement and after he installed it, it had the same problems. Howard Miller has washed their hands of it and, after promising to repair the 2nd movement, they washed their hands of it as well. So Howard Miller is knowingly buying defective stock from one of their main suppliers and installing it in their clocks. Then they proceed to sell those clocks to trusting customers. I paid the technician $100 for the time and energy he put into it but, if he had have been able to successfully repair the clock, he would have charged me $750. Im not looking to get any money out of this; I just want a working clock. I think Howard Miller should be willing to help get that accomplished instead of saying, Its out of warranty, you have no complaint. I would have been willing to pay for repairs but both HM and ********* no part of helping me.

    **************,

I am very sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your Floor Clock.

Can you please provide me with the Model and Serial Number of your clock so I can look into this further. This is usually found on the back of the clock.

If you happen to have the Purchase order number from Gift Theory this too would be helpful., along with any information the ************** provided could be helpful too.

I look forward to hearing from you.

My employer provides awards for various things, such as length of service. As an award, I received a Howard Miller Corner Cut Curio Cabinet. It appeared to be in good condition, and since we planned to move in a few months, we put it into a closet. When we recently moved it to the new house, there was a note on the cabinet saying that the glass shelves were UNDER the cabinet. So we turned it over. But there are no shelves. I contacted Howard Miller at the email address on the large Service Sticker attached to the item. They responded, that since the item was given as an award, any complaints had to be submitted through the company that gave the award. This is ludicrous, of course. We may have to have some glass shelves cut for this item. I am deeply disappointed in Howard Miller Company's response.
