The worst management company when it comes to communication and keeping homeowners informed. Slow to respond, or no response, customer service is a joke.
If you have an HOA stay away from this company. This is based on my experience living in one of their HOA in Minnesota. The Property managers are clueless and condescending towards home owners and they use rude email responses to make homeowners feel that they are fault.

I have lived in 8 previous HOA managed communities in 6 different states and have been on 2 HOA boards. I find this company totally lacking in true communication skills. Failure to oversee the subcontractors is my prime complaint. When we first moved into our present home the community was being managed by a reputable and responsible organization. That company was gobbled up twice and has ended up as FirstService Residential. Dont put the emphasis on SERVICE! One star is generous. EMH

I would give this company zero stars if I could. I live in a neighborhood with family homes. Before moving in I was told half our neighborhood had an association as the other half was able to get enough signatures to get out. I have lived here for almost 9 years and they have been downright awful. The dues increase and the only thing we get is a small patch of shared grass mowed and we pay $500 for that. I have filed complaints about houses with trash everywhere and not mowing and basically looking down right awful for years and the response I get from them is call the city we won’t do anything. I have someone finally reach out to me and she was down right awful and confirmed that I do in fact only pay for that small patch of grass. This company steals money from family’s just to employee their employees. They send out an itemized bill that they try to claim they pay for street lights and plowing which I confirmed with the city is a lie and I have pictures to prove it. Erin is awful and very disrespectful and this company needs to be shut down or at-least be heavily audited.

****************** does not wish to pay her association dues as she does not feel she receives any value for the amount she pays. Unfortunately, FirstService is unable to control how the association was originally set up through the developer and homeowners are unable to opt out of paying dues per the governing documents of the homeowner association. Each homeowner who has purchased a home in the community does so with the full knowledge they live in an association and all items covered under the association dues are disclosed at the time of sale. We would be happy to continue to work with ****************** to educate her on what the dues cover within the association; maintenance of ******* areas with playgrounds, lawn and snow for the private *** locations, insurance for common areas, mailbox station maintenance and replacement, as well as other items. Additionally, the *** course of action for violations is to send letters and issue fines (that information is confidential) but the association is unable to take any additional action other than that for enforcement. Our team is always available to discuss any concerns ****************** has with the community she purchased into.

FirstService Residential of Minneapolis, Minnesota. NO STARS, This is the worst association management ever, I made a mistake to have moved here to Medley Hills, Golden Valley, Minnesota. High fees and poor service to the residents. Poor snow removal is not recommended for anyone over 55.

Thank you for your feedback. We will relay the information you provided to the homeowner elected ***** of ********* who make the decisions regarding budget and snow removal contractors. This year has been one of the snowiest and iciest ******* on record so many communities snow removal providers have had difficulties keeping up with the amount of melt & refreeze in the communities. Minnesota weather lends itself to snow and ice and unless the community chooses to pay for more salt services and blow back snow removal (those are additional above the contract price) there could be lingering large snow piles and ice build-up. *************** removal contracts have a trigger depth so contractors do not perform snow removal if the trigger depth has not been met. However, we have relayed this information to your ***** of ********* to see if they wish to add on additional services given your dissatisfaction; this is a ***** decision and not a management decision. Best regards and do not hesitate to reach out to our customer care team any time with your concerns at mnsupport.fsresidential.com.

I’m not surprised that all reviews are one star. As a business manager, I
am surprised that any company would have all one-star reviews and not do anything proactive to reduce the complaints?!?
And Seriously? How does the BBB give them an A rating when 100% of their reviews are 1-star?!? That makes me doubt the credibility of the BBB.
My complaint is small compared to the others (please see below). I have a simple question: “my outside faucet leaks, should I have my plumber fix it, or by your policy do I need to have the HOA plumber fix it”. I left a vm in May, no one responded. I left a vm in June, no one responded. I called in July, the guy that answered said I needed to submit something through the app. I explained that I had tried and I had difficulty with the app. He laughed at me. I asked to please have someone call me. Several weeks later and no one has called me.
Because I’m in an HOA I’m bound by contract to pay this company $4000+ per year and although I don’t have major complaints like others, I’m frustrated that they can’t be bothered to give me an answer to a basic simple question.

Thank you for your feedback and bringing this matter to our attention. We have attempted to reach out to the Owner the week of August 8, 2022 via email and phone to assist with this work order request. Additionally, a manager change has been made for the property. We look forward to resolving any open concerns.
