I purchased a used 2023 Grand Cherokee from ******* Walser Jeep on 11-15-2024. I am very unhappy with the service I have received. My sales representative was *** Falzonie. I wrote two checks for rubber floor mats and a rear cargo mat. *** realized the vehicle already had them, so we didnt need to purchase them. *** should have rewritten the contract before it was submitted, but I agreed to pay for them because he assured me I would receive a refund within two ******** has now been also 5 months, and the last time we reached out to ***, he said it was out of his control because the refund comes from corporate. I would never have agreed to pay for them and would have insisted that he rewrite the contract if I had known it would take over five months. This issue needs to be resolved immediately. I am owed reimbursement for two checks totaling $350.70 and $390.69.

Walser sincerely apologizes for the delay in issuing this refund.  The general manager spoke with Ms. ******* and we will promptly issue her the proper refund.

I am rejecting this response because:

Walser has not completed the refund and they want to resolve on their terms.  They claim they cannot issue a cash refund but will add the refund on to the end of my loan.  I dont thinks this is fair when the initially indicated I would be refunded.  Had I known that I would have made them correct the paperwork for the loan at that time.  I just threw an additional $400.00 at them on top the $20,000.00 I paid for the down payment.

In January 2015, I purchased a Jeep Cherokee (VIN NO: *****************) from Walser Jeep in *******, **. At purchase, I also purchased a bumper-to- bumper lifetime warranty for several thousand dollars (warranty no. ********) on top of the purchase price. I was planning on keeping this car for my daughters (who now drive the car). I was told this would be very easy to use as I'd just return to Walser and they would make reparis free of charge (excluding things like oil changes/tires/etc.). In January 2023, I tried to use the warranty coverage at Walser and was told they could get me in for service in 8 weeks. It was an urgent issue (an engine issue) and needed to be addressed right away. I had it fixed at a different independent shop. Last week, on January 13, **** I called Walser as the heat was not working in the car and it was below zero. Like in 2023, they told me they were "short-staffed" and could not get me in for four weeks. Because of that, I also had to go to an independent shop. Because I went to an independent shop, I paid $100 more both this year and last year (there is a $100 "deductible" if you go to a place other than Walser) for a total of $200. In other words, if Walser would have been staffed and been able to service the car - I would have paid $200. The original warranty contract seems illusory insofar as the two times I've tried to use it, I've been told by Walser that they are short-staffed so I was forced to go to another shop and pay more.

Walser apologizes for the poor service experienced at Walser CJD.  Walser notes that it is not the case that the service department is short-staffed, but rather that we only have a certain capacity based on the number of service bays and demand has been high lately for service work.  Nonetheless, as a gesture of goodwill Walser has agreed to reimburse the customer for the two deductibles paid.  The check is being sent directly to the customer.  Thank you.

Purchased a 2019 Grand Caravan in February 2022. The website appears to have a Walser Guarantee for used vehicles. We have put less than ****** miles on the vehicle since purchasing it. It has around ****** miles and the transmission went out. There were no warnings or indications (no lights, no issues with driving). We got regular maintenance done. We were driving and it was driving normal. Within 2 miles, the transmission went out and there were still no lights or anything. I feel like Walser misleads people with their guarantee and that the vehicle wasn't inspected as closely as it should have been. I'm guessing since it drove fine, that they assumed nothing was wrong with it. Clearly, the transmission doesn't go belly up in a 2 mile span, and typically a check engine light should come on, something was faulty and overlooked perhaps. I feel like Walser should refund the purchase price due to misleading information on the site and making customers feel "safe" to buy from them but then customers learning that they don't guarantee their vehicles as stated unless you pay more. It was very confusing and they probably do so much paperwork to confuse the customer on purpose. Other MN dealers have a fraction of the paperwork!

This used vehicle was driven for over a year after its sale by Walser for many thousands of miles before the transmission failed.  This is in no way an indication that the pre-sale inspection was flawed.  At the age and mileage currently on this vehicle, it is quite possible for the transmission to need replacing.  A vehicle service contract, if one is still in effect, would generally cover this type of repair.
