    Terrible experience. We were scheduled to leave out on a 7 am flight. Received an email at 10 pm the night before that the flight was delayed 6 hours. Luckily we happened to check the email. We logged in and the sun country website said the flight was on time and not delayed. Called customer service and what a terrible customer service experience. They could not confirm either way if it was delayed or not. We arrived at the airport for the 7 am flight just to be safe. The agents at the ticket counter told us the flight was on time so we checked our bags and went thru security only to find out once inside that it was actually delayed 6 hours. Now we were stuck and couldnt leave. We were stranded for 6 hours when we could have gone back home and waited if they had given us correct information. We live 30 minutes from airport. The delay caused us to lose deposits on scheduled activities because we didnt arrive on time. I have attempted to contact Sun Country customer service several times and Im promised a call back but no one ever calls back! Terrible experience. Avoid Sun Country at all costs!

    Let me start by saying NEVER FLY WITH SUN COUNTRY! EEVERRRR!I had a flight from *********** to ***** cancelled hours before take off on 7/17. I couldnt get ahold of customer service so we rushed to the airport only for them to shrug and say there was nothing they could do. We went to two different airlines but their cost was $2,000+ and that wasnt affordable. We ended up getting a car rental that cost $550 to drive the 6.5 hours back to *******. When I called today, they just refunded half of our tickets and when I asked if we would be compensated for the extra expenses (car rental) I was told no. NEVER FLY WITH THEM! Even if its dirt cheap. How can an airline still be in business when they consistently cancel flights last minute and do NOTHING to help?!

    Book with Sun Country at your own risk! Flights (especially late in the day) are frequently cancelled. My daughter was part of a group reservation of teens and the flight home was cancelled. After 2 hours sitting on hold with ***************** they were told that they would have to wait 2 more days to get on a flight. Sun Country did not offer any reimbursement due to the fact that it was a group. Just because you have a ticket on Sun Country doesn't mean there is actually a flight available!!!

    0/5 I do NOT recommend Sun Country. The customer service and dependability is non-existent. On 6/23, 3 of us were scheduled to fly to ********** with a return flight to MSP on 6/26. Our flight was 9:00am. We checked our flight status when checking our bags and everything said on time. We made it through security a little after 8:00 and everything still showed on time. At 8:26am, we received email communication that our flight was cancelled. There was nobody at the gate to speak with about our options. Once we found someone at a different gate, we were told we had 3 options 1) receive a refund 2) fly to ******** 3) fly to ************. We were then told that no matter where we flew into, we would have to get to ********** somehow to fly home on 6/26. This was absolutely absurd. I dont understand the lack of customer service during this. How can you cancel a flight and not offer to change the return flight?! We were concerned that if we attempted to fly out of **********, it would be cancelled. Sure enough, it was delayed 3 hours when we checked that day.This caused us to have to make other arrangements for room and board, food, commuting, etc. Because we ended ** in a hotel instead of ****, we were unable to **** and had to go out to eat. We then had an additional expense for somewhere to stay. AND didnt get our return flight home resolved until late night on 6/26.On top of that, we are out $873 due to the **** not willing to refund our stay that had to be cancelled because Sun Country cancelled the flight (30 minutes before take off!) last minute.
