      Primary Complaint: Deluxe Corporation dba DELUXE *************** has refused to release tax monies collected from our payrolls or give an account for said monies for the 2nd quarter in which we are entitled to a reconciliation. Secondary: Thus far they have refused to give us access in any form to the information we had in their data base. We entered into an agreement with Deluxe to provide payroll and HR services in Oct of 2021. Through many failed interactions the go live date was pushed to Jan 2022. We conducted our payroll through their service from Jan to April of 2022. After repeated errors were found within the system we decided to move our payroll else where. At the end of April, since we were on a month by month agreement, i informed Deluxe that we would not longer be using their service for our payroll. I further requested to keep our account active in order to have access to our information stored there and agreed to pay the maintenance fees to do so, calculated based on user and a set fee totaling about $300 monthly. After filing out some termination paperwork requested by Deluxe our account was closed. We were given access to our payroll information through an archival system. However, even after repeated requests, we were locked out of the HR system could not retrieve our information stored there. I also requested and continue to request that the payroll tax monies that were collected and were to be paid on our behalf be refunded to us. I further have requested that a reconciliation be provided of these tax monies for the partial quarter in which we were still using their services. To date there has been no response to any of these queries utilizing the email support given to me as a customer.

       I am rejecting this response because:
      I can confirm the refund was received, however, without a reconciliation I don't actually know what is being refunded. I checked the archive system and I do not see a new quarterly report. If the report has been added under a different name please advise on what that name is. also feel free to email me a copy of the report @ ***************************. Once received I will accept partial complaint fulfillment. There is still the matter of lost payroll/HR files that were held in DPP.

      My business website domain and email were sold by Centurylink to Deluxe Corporation effective 9/1/22. I was told to contact the business by phone to ensure a smooth transition and no loss of services to my business. I have been trying to contact them by phone since late August with no response. My business website and business email was then shut down on 9/1/22. This has caused my medical practice to lose hundreds of dollars in revenue as well as created serious safety concerns for my mental health patients. I was able to contact Deluxe through "chat" on or about 9/4/22 and they assured me the website/email would be up and running within 24 hours. They provided me with TICKET #*******. As of this email, the website and email are still not working and my practice is in danger of losing contracts with the medical insurance providers which will result in the complete collapse of the practice as well as serious implications for the patients. I have attempted to contact Deluxe by phone and chat numerous times and have waited on hold for hours with no answer. This is completely unacceptable from both a financial and medical standpoint, and needs to be resolved immediately.       Deceptive practices on their order placing system. Order confirmation total is not what my CC is being charged. They claim it is a city tax amount they are charging. It is the only website my company orders from that does this. The order total on your confirmation should be what you are being charged. No other email is sent after order is *****d to show re-calculated tax amount. Majority of customer service reps ***** you on an eternal hold since they don't want to deal with it or they disconnect the call. Was told I needed to speak to the tax department and they actually said "I don't know what you want me to do". Your CC should be charged the amount on your order confirmation and if it is going to be charged a different amount there should be another email confirming that. Reviewed all my orders over 2 years and it happened on all but 2, so is it a tax thing?

      Thank you for contacting Deluxe Corporation.  We apologize for the confusion regarding the totals on your orders.    Internet orders note that the shipping, handling and tax amounts are estimated.   At the time the order is placed it is unknown which plant will be producing the order and gives an estimated tax rate.   For orders shipped to ******** the tax rate is based on the state the manufacturing site is located and if the product is personalized or not.   In the most recent order the final tax rate charged was 5% because the personalized order was produced in  and shipped to ********.  Deluxe has contracts to banks and has representation in every state therefore we are required to follow the Nexus law.  All order no matter how they are entered, are subject to the Nexus law.  If you have any additional questions you may contact your local state sales tax office.  In addition you may contact our sales tax department at;  ****************************************.  Again we apologize for the confusion.

      Shipping can be an estimate, but sales tax should not be. We buy from many websites that have different plants and we do not pay a different tax based on where they ship from. I will no longer buy form Deluxe. It's a deceitful way to do business.

      I ordered my checks through Deluxe on June 9th, 2022, I payed an extra charge to have them sent even sooner than they were expected (so they should have arrived in two business days) and they still have not arrived. I payed an ungodly amount of $41.50 for one box of checks. My order number was **********. I tried calling the company and they don't let you get a hold of a customer service representative! I have tried emailing through their website and they keep on saying there is an "error" and that the message can't be sent (this has happened every single time I have tried sending a message).I am appalled at the terrible service of Deluxe. And at this point, I believe they are a complete scam. They stole my money, never gave me my checks, and they won't let me get a hold of anyone to see where my checks are or to request a refund.

      Thank you for contacting Deluxe Corporation.  We have been unable to reach you by phone.   Your check order was shipped *** however, it is being returned to sender due to missing an apartment or unit number.  I apologize for that inconvenience.  Once the package arrives back it will be destroyed securely.  We have issued you a refund in full for the order.  Please contact ***** at ************ for a replacement order.   Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
