      I like, the many others who have previously commented, have spent a ridiculously inane amount of time trying to liquidate the accounts of a deceased person of whose estate I am executor. From the local representative, who set up the accounts, to the estate settlement department, it has been nothing short of misinformation and delay tactics. I qualified as executor in December, 2022. It is now September 1, 2023 and checks are being mailed. Allegedly. If you have an account here, I'd strongly consider placing it with a real brokerage. Glad to see I'm not the only lawyer that has had a problem with them. What a shame they can't perform a basic function. Hopefully, there will be a class action lawsuit and they will get shut down--if the SEC doesn't do it first.

      If I could give less then one star I would.This is the most rude, unprofessional company I've ever dealt with.Nothing but double and triple talk trying to get trust accounts settled from my Mom's estate.If it's not settled soon I'm going to hire an attorney to deal with them.Stay as far away from this company as possible!!!!

      Its been 4 years since my Fathers death and I still have not received my portion of the money my Father left me. They have the worst customer service of any ********************** Ive ever experienced. I have spent up to 6 hours in 1 day trying to get answers on how to receive my money. No one gives the correct answers and I have had to start at square 1 again each time. I am guessing this is how they just never pay out.

      My advisor and his assistant are super. I just have to make one call and ****** and ** take care of things quickly. They have helped me out so many times that I dont know how to thank them. They are brilliant when it comes to finances.

      Our ******* **** has a cd ($2475) with Ameriprise where my other sister *** and I are actually listed as beneficiaries. Back on April 4 I contacted them to start the estate settlement claim; an appt was set up to talk to ******* on April 21 at 4 pm; April 21 came and I received no call so I called and they apologized saying I should have been contacted- that they had a conflict and my appointment had to be cancelled! ?? It was then rescheduled for May 15. May 15 both *** and I Esigned an estate settlement claim and sent a Death Certificate, which would take 4 days to establish the clain. I was told to call back on Fri., May 19 to get an update on the claim. I called and was told the claim had been opened, but funds had not been moved, I should call back Tues, May 23. So I did, the advisor could not find any paperwork/DC at first and then found the documents but they had never been sent to be signed by the advisor that needs to sign off on it. That would take 2-3 days and I should call back on Fri., May 26. So I called today, May 26, and was told the claim still had not been forwarded to be signed off on..."it must be a technology glitch"!....???? The advisor had no idea why ....took my email address and said she'd get back to me.

      Very poor customer service when trying to withdraw funds from an account. Spent over two hours on the phone with customer service (estimated wait time was 15 minutes, actual wait was 30 minutes) to be told I needed to be transferred to another department to transact (on hold for additional 30 minutes). Walked through on line steps to set up transfer and stayed on line while I executed the steps. The told they couldn't execute the transfer because my data was incomplete and brought a data specialist on-line. The incomplete data was me answering whether I would like my account data shared with their own sales people - had nothing to do with a client's qualification to do business. They then informed that they were having a "computer" issue for my transfer and would call me back. They called back and said the issue was not yet resolved but that it would be resolved and they would call again later that afternoon - no call was made to me. I am now calling again 3 days later and was told my "issue" was closed out but they are still unable to execute the transaction. Ameriprise Financial does not seem to understand who owns the money they hold. It is their client's money and being able to transact, invest and actually return money to their clients ought to be the basics for running the business.
