I have tried numerous times to cancel my membership but I continue to get calls from them. The representative calling is surprised that we have canceled as they show no record. CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP and let all departments know.

I was very disappointed and angry that Dean's didn't indicate that I would be charged a diagnostic fee, as well as the fee for coming out. He supposedly used a camera which doesn't see underwater. (Why use it then?) He got stuck at 25 to 30 feet, with weeds. I was charged $430.00 for the snaking and the camera. My drain isn't cleared, and I've spent $578.00. They also added a Dean's membership to the bill for another $99.00. Why would I want a membership in an organization that is this untrustworthy I should have sensed that they are a slippery outfit. They are supposed to come out Friday with a real camera. God knows what the estimate will be after that. My advice is to avoid this company like the plague. They are out to pick your pocket. I talked to another drain service that I've used in the past, and they would only charge $225.00 for the cleaning. Perhaps, I'll end up going with this other company in the end after having spent so much for nothing. This system is forcing me to use a star. I wish there were negative stars I would leave that instead.

Hi, ***** thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are sincerely apologize if there is any confusion on the estimate approved by you to completed the work. After reviewing your account, it looks like you notified out Drains Technician that you had another company work on your line in 2012, when ************** attempted to clear the line, he pulled back roots. Instead of continuing to push our way through the line and compromise your line, our goal was to set a camera inspection so we knew the best option for your home. Again, we apologize for any miscommunication and trying to attempt to help. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about why we took this approach, give us a call!

I don't accept Deans statement as accurate. ****** concern about compromising my line justifies charging a fee of $430.00 to simply diagnose that it's blocked. I knew that before I called. If they told me upfront that they would charge $430 for a diagnosis, I would never accept that ridiculous price. That's why you don't find out until the end of the visit. I had Geno's drains do it for $225. There was no sales pitch or any lies about all the things that could be wrong with my sewer line. Of course, you push through the roots, or weeds. Isn't that the way cleaning a line is done? I guess the bottom line is that the public needs to know about these deceptive practices, the confusion in billing suits Dean's Home Services just fine. More "confusion", more profits for ******. Save yourself some trouble, and just call someone else in the first place.

Deans estimate to fix my leaky outdoor facet was $650. I fixed it myself with a plyers. It took 2 seconds. Estimate to replace a small gasket on my other outdoor facet was $849. 10 minutes of labor. I fixed it myself. I would call this price gouging or just dishonest.

Paid premium price to have some HVAC work done. Had problems from the start. Unfortunately for me, I trusted them to follow through on everything they said they would. Now I have house damage and what looks like improperly installed materials. All I get is lip service and delays when I try to resolve the issues with Dean's. Sadly, the next step seems to be civil court.

In response: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. After taking the time to review your account and speak to our ********* regarding your situation, the damage to the brick has nothing to do with any of the work done at your home. Our team did try to explain that the brick crumbling is due to moisture with a freeze/thaw effect. We did take photos prior to any work being done and noticed quite a few damages and repairs done to the brick by you. There are several bricks crumbling before our team completed any work. We attached all the photos and your invoice explaining the job. We do understand your situation and apologize for any confusion.

Outrageous pricing! Stay away from Deans! We are even Deans Club members from a previous tankless water install. For that, they were fine and smooth. But I called to clear a bathtub drain and a pedestal sink drain (same bathroom) and they charged $850!!! For a drain clean! I was in shock and when I asked why so much, the plumber replied ‘because I’m Great at my work.’ I reluctantly paid because they were there and I assumed I would get a fair price as a club member. But I felt so bad, and my husband went ballistic at the pricing, so I called around to get quotes at other companies. They were 4x the pricing of other companies! For example, Paul Bunyan plumbing would clear a drain for $199, Bonfe would do it for $99! I called to renegotiate the price because it was so extreme and Ari from customer service finally gave me a minimal discount but the end pricing was still over $650, which is still 3 x as much as competitors. The entirety of the work was 1 hour. Who gets paid $850 per hour??? Apparently Deans Plumbers do. I asked her how people can afford their pricing? I was wondering if I was targeted for up charging because we live in Edina or because I’m a woman who obviously had never gotten their drains cleared before.
We are cutting our ties with Deans. Edward of their pricing. Their service techs are very nice but totally not worth their price gouging. I should have called a handyman, it didn’t end up being that big of a job.

It's pretty impressive how they messed up everything and then screwed us over. We had a bathroom remodel done and Dean's did the tub, toilet, and shower install. They screwed up each part: For the shower they installed the valve without considering the tiling thickness so it was installed too deep into the wall. They also did not confirm that the valve operated correctly. So then once the tile was up they had to order an extension piece. Then they realized that the 2-way valve did not work properly. So then they had to either install a 6-way valve over the top or tear out the tile in order to replace the valve. We went with the 6 way. Then the shower pressure was terrible and we realized that they installed it with a bunch of paper and tape in the pipe which was clogging it.
For the Toilet, they installed it with one wax ring, which turned out to not be enough. So we leave on vacation and my mother-in-law uses the toilet. Upon our return we find that the toilet leaked into the basement for two weeks.
On the tub, they somehow managed to install the drain incorrectly and caused a brass fitting to crack. we had water all over our basement! It was an absolute mess. Then comes the repair bill to fix the basement ceiling: Dean's covered the cost of drying out the ceiling because some of the moisture was from the toilet but the greater than $10,000 ceiling repair is on us because, per Deans, we supplied the part. In the quote with them they state that part of their installation is to inspect all work and ensure that everything is in working order. They literally did none of that for any of the installations.
Total amateur hour! Please save yourself the trouble and find someone else.

They were called by someone working for my mom to clean out her main drain and they charged her 2 grand. Called around to find out other companies charge 700$ at the most. She didn't sign or call for the job. They took advantage of my elderly mom . 2 grand for a main drain clean out is outrageous. She did not call them and did not sign for the job. She was taken advantage of my Dean's Home Services of Brooklyn Center. That is not a fair price for a main drain clean out and they should be ashamed for trying to take advantage of my 83 year old mother.

I would like to add that she definitely did not sign the contract. That is not her signature.

Horrible! I had a small leak in my toilet to the bathroom below and I called Deans - huge mistake! I was on a work call and the man went through my ENTIRE home and took photos of what he suggested needed to be repaired when I had called for the toilet. I felt like my privacy was severely invaded.
In addition the work to set a toilet cost $1000 - do not use this company.
