****** Automotive, stay away. It's all a scam. I brought my car to ****** Automotive and it came out worse than when it went in. They are incompetent and overcharge on parts. They continually told me what else the car needed and how much it was going to cost. In the end, they did not fix the car and handed me a big bill ($4,000.00). I had to bring the car to another garage to be fixed. They either are con artists or just really not intelligent to not be able to fix a basic car. Really, I'm serious, DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO ******* The results will be less money in your pocket and still a broken car. Beware!Matt's Automotive Service Center

Unfortunately, we have no record of a customer by this name. We have searched all 10 of our locations and have no service records with this customer. In addition to that, the posted zip code is for ************* and we are located in ************ and *********. We also have never, in the 15 years since inception, charged a customer for work not fixing their vehicle. We also have never performed work without prior authorization from a customer. We would love the opportunity to investigate this further, but would require more information about the customer in question.Review fromMatts S

COLLEGE STUDENTS: BEWARE!!! ****'s Automotive is a bunch of con artists!!! I was recommended by AAA after my car had broken down. They had my vehicle in the shop for almost 2 weeks and no work had been done. I tried calling several times to see what progress and they NEVER answer their phones. After 2 weeks of no communication, I tried to get my vehicle back I had to pay a fee just for them to release MY vehicle!!! That's when they told me I would need to replace the engine entirely. I took my car to Fix it Forward as they are truly reliable and very efficient in what they do! They told me the radiator would need to be replaced and it was. My car is running better than ever now. The owner is a liar and LOVES to remove honest reviews on ***************** and everywhere else. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I spoke with AAA to have them removed as a provider and was told by AAA they have several complaints against them!Matt's Automotive Service Center

Unfortunately, we are unable to validate or verify any of the claims listed in this review. The reviewer chose to use a fake name. They even made a fake email to describe this account. Regarding the comments below, we are a AAA approved repair facility and often times this particular location can be busy. Despite how busy this location is, we always return phone calls and voicemails and we have never had an instance where we have never answered the phone. We reached out to AAA and are they are unaware of many, let alone any, complaints against us. If we had a severe amount of complaints, they would have dropped us as the recommended repair facility or not offered to renew their contract with us. We never perform any work that would require charges without authorization and our recommendations always come with a very detailed story describing the steps our technicians take to determine the source of a failure. It is possible that we may have recommended an engine replacement with a radiator replacement and another shop chose to fix part of the problem. We always try to recommend the entire repair as opposed to temporary repairs because we want our customers vehicles on the road as long as possible. Unfortunately, it is not possible to remove reviews from ****** and we respond to all reviews for our business because we truly care about our customers feedback. We would love an opportunity to discuss this situation with you over the phone and would ask that you reach out to our district manager at ************Review fromJasper W

From what I've been told so far is: the bill of $2,277.19 is only for an oil change and to assure me that my truck is in fact, not operating properly, and only 1 part will be replaced? I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything? The truck is also a full day behind. When I received that quote, I had already authorized the work order with my initials, almost immediately after the order was signed and I was under the impression that my truck would, in fact, be fixed and repaired with that amount of money, I received a call and was told that the work order amount was ONLY to TEAR DOWN THE POWERTRAIN to determine WHERE the issue was coming from and WHY there was play in the pinion of the driveshaft. What was the inspection for? The inspection alone costed me over $400. Completely unfair.I am a permanently and totally; 100% disabled ************* military veteran. Who feels like I've been cheated and scammed for the prices I've been quoted with only 1 repair being made. The one repair I could have done myself, even being disabled. I brought my truck to you guys, because I do not have the means necessary to do any repairs at my home location, how can I trust anyone that isn't completely up front and honest about what's going on inside another human beings vehicle?Matt's Automotive Service Center

Hello ******. There seems to be some confusion here on our end as your wife approved repairs with us today and we didnt get a chance to go over our findings because you came in to the store before we had even finished testing on all the issues you had going on with your truck. You have a rear differential with major bearing failure and other items we were digging in to for you. The prices you had approved was the time for us to tear down to the point of failure, which was quite extensive, and other testing procedures for your other issues, not just an oil change and inspection. Your vehicle is also not in this location you left a review for, it is in one of our ************ shops. We would be happy to spend time showing and educating you on what is going on with your truck and what is needed, and we can assure you we treat everyone the same, veteran or not as everyone deserves to be treated properly and fairly. Feel free to give our owner a call, ************ or stop in the shop tomorrow, he will be there and is familiar with the repairs that are going on with your truck.Review fromRon H

Mis diagnosis of vehicle. My wife has car issue. They mid-diagnosed the problem. Sold a throttle body that she didnt need. Told her that that would fix it. She was traveling alone from ****** to *** *********. She had to rent a car. She went back on the date they told her that it would be fixed. The cost was $859.23. They informed her that it was then a catalytic converter. The cost was over $300 to diagnose that and then the part was $3,674.99 The total bill was $4,725.35. Only one catalytic was bad. They charged her for both of them. I am an ASE master tech working in ******. It doesnt cost that much to fix this. The bill is devastating to her. It cost all of her savings. The car is not worth that much. They totally took advantage of her. She couldnt take to to Midas mufflers because they had not put the exhaust back on. I will never go through this city again because of this one thing. The rental car was $500. On top of this. The *** is ******. I will file in small claims court on the throttle body that was not needed. It was a BS diagnosis. I know how to diagnose a misfire on one bank of cylinders. Its beginners stuff. To charge again when they mis diagnose the first time they shouldnt charge again. This is called highway robbery where Im from. The tax was 10%. I will let the internet know that to never go to this shop or their others because its going to cost way more than they say. I will also go to Angies list and let the world know not to do business with them. That if they do its their own fault. It would have been better to go up myself and deal with it. Warning to all women. Do not go to this place. Im a professional mechanic and I have never done things like this to anyone. Never. I only replace what is needed. I hope they gave her the parts.Matt's Automotive Service Center

This vehicle was not misdiagnosed. The customer came in with a lean code on bank 2. A smoke test was ran and found a leak coming from the throttle body internally. Air leaking into the engine will cause a lean condition. We informed them we would have to retest after to verify it was fixed. Part was not available immediately and took 3 extra business days to arrive. The lean code was corrected with no leak from throttle body and then found lack of power. Temperature tested the catalytic converter on bank 2 and found it was plugged. Catalytic converters are not serviced separately from one another and as a shop we do not install universal catalytic converters because of their high failure rate. Original equipment from Jeep costs $5,530 so we did not rip her off. Every repair was approved by customer and performed with 3 year, 36k mile nationwide warranty. Tax was not 10%. It was *****% on parts per state and county law. Cost to diagnose was $189, not $300. Vehicle was fixed and driven back.Review fromG. W.

****'s Automotive made repairs to my vehicle which took over 2 months to complete. They initially requested a $6K deposit which I paid using my MasterCard. When presented with the final bill of over $13K, they would not accept credit card payment but insisted I pay with a cashier's check. When asked why, I was told that it would prevent me from filing a fraud claim through my credit card company if I was dissatisfied with the work. I find this appalling for several reasons. I am sure many customers would not be able to pay cash for repairs and need to use credit. Plus, what does this say about the quality of their work if they are that concerned about a complaint. And finally, the amount of time to repair my car was ridiculous. I will not be using their service again.Matt's Automotive Service Center

The delay in the repair was due to parts as this is a vehicle that parts had to come from the *** and we cannot control that. The cashiers check was requested due to the amount of the purchase and the aggressive nature of the customer. Nothing more, nothing less. We have asked this guest to not return due to how he aggressively interacted with our team members, and became upset from asking him to not return. He swore at our team members and sent several emails that were aggressive. We have recorded calls and emails as well to prove that. Not interested in arguing with this person. Review is not accurate.G. W.

There is a pattern where **** claims customers yelled and cursed employees and he has recordings or conversations to back that up. Vile rantings attacking customers integrity. All my conversations with ***** were amicable actually are parting words were about going and hitting some golf ***** soon
