My car was towed from them on Sept ***** daughter uses it, she went to her boyfriend's apartment complex. She parked the car and they towed it without a warning, or a chance to move it correct spot. Then they never notified me of them towing it!! By the time I found it 7days later they charged me 975$!!!!! I received NO NOTICE IT WAS TAKEN. My daughter called cops thinking it was stolen. They I started calling places And finally figured about where my car was! I want and deserve a refund of at least half! How awful to do to people! What a racket your pulling

In your original complaint, a vehicle description, address, etc have not been provided. The local authorities in that area, are notified at the time of tow...so if you contacted them, they would have told you where you could contact. Furthermore, any vehicles left at a permit parking only lot, would have had signage to show that parking is not allowed without the proper permit to park there overnight. We notify any registered owner within 5 days at the address registered on the motor vehicle title.

I am rejecting this response because:
You towed a veichal the authorities didn't know because we CALLED and they had no idea. I also NEVER received a certified letter.

So I was never notified bout where my car was. Also this apartment complex has guests so you drive around the parking lot waiting for a guest to park wrong, tow it automatically without even a warning sticker giving them a chance to move car? How awful. Taking advantage of people. Are guest suppose to know exactly where to park? My car was one space apparently into the permit parking and there wasn't a sign.

989$ is AWFUL to charge people and again not even a warning ticket that gives a person a chance to move it! I want a refund. Who has that money laying around because you guys think it's ok to just tow and not notify people and charge a ridiculous amount, highway robbery and NOT OK.

Permit parking is something that is designated by the Property Owner, we do not make the rules...we are contracted to provide a service to the management as directed. We do notify the registered owner within 3-5 business days of the ***. There are several signs around the property is state the lot and permit parking only. Any further questions, feel free to contact your management.

I am rejecting this response because:
I never received a certified letter saying you guys towed my car. Also you guys Tow without any warning just take care not let anyone know or give them a chance to move it. Charge everyday you have it WITHOUT telling people you towed. I called police thinking it was stolen  they had no idea that my car was towed. So that you lied about saying you tell cops. i want a refund it's awful what you guys do.

This company flat out stole my $50,000 Mastercraft boat from public storage. My boat was mistakenly towed by this company, and when we went to go pick up our boat is when we found it was not there. We tracked it down to the towing company and they claim they sent it off for auction. I have the title in my name with a bank lien. I have no idea how they can possibly do anything with it without the title. One way or another I *********** back or I retain an attorney and go for the throat. This is just is just the start with this company. Liars and crooks plain and simple. They have no idea whats coming.

There was no theft involved in this case. As a matter of fact it was reported to the county sheriffs office the day it was impounded. A thief would not do that. Also Absolute Towing made no error in impounding the boat in question. The property it was parked at contacted Absolute by email with a picture and specific location of the boat requesting that it be removed. The boat was held from March when it was impounded until early June which is months beyond the required hold time of any impounded item per state statute. We did not go looking for this tow, it was requested by the property and diligence was practiced. Again any mistakes made in this situation do not fall on the towing company.

My car was towed 1/16/2023 to my home; my bumper was damaged and laying in front of my ********* called them to report the damage; they asked me to email pictures, which I did. I have been calling and emailing them for the past 4 weeks, with no response or resolution. The only person I've been able to speak with is the woman who answers the phone and asks for pictures to be emailed (which I have done) or tells me no one is available to talk to me.

This issue happened on 1/5/2023. I paid them $380 for two towed vehicles. I have an issue with this company robbing and ripping off the American people. The only accept cash. They have these rules about you can't be upset with them or they will charge you an additional $50 to get your property. They target the poor communities and apartments in the poorest areas. They are very rude and damage your property. They have a ATM machine in the small whole that only gives you $20 bills and they do not give change. So you have no choice but to overpay them extra money to get your property. That is not right nor should it be legal. If you only accept cash you should have change to provide. They tell you that you have to current tabs on your car to receive your car. How can you keep a persons vehicle if you have NOTHING to do with the **** They won't accept more than $5 in coins for payment, They do not want rolled coins. If that is my only source of payment and you ONLY accept cash then they should take what we have. Please investigate this business. I am sure they are doing this illegally. They charge you $12.92 WSP then charge you a $35 Admin Fee. It is robbery in plain site. I want my $10 back that I over paid because they refused to give change.

This car was towed by request of the ********************** we do not target anyone. When you call to get the fees for your car, you are told on the phone the amount and "exact change" as everything is dropped in a safe that the employees have no access to. The *** is there as a convenience, but is not required to use as you could come prepared with what is needed before you come to pick it up.

This company towed my daughters vehicle from a college run townhouse/apartment complex where they are to have parking permits or passes for the spots they are parked in. My daughter was parked in a spot requiring a tag for that particular spot which she ran into her boyfriends house to grab the tag and within literally a minute of running in and coming back out the tow truck driver had the wheels locked up and was going to pull it up when my daughter came out with the proper tag for the spot she was in. The tow truck driver told her it was too late and would cost $200 for him to release the vehicle. She paid the $200 in cash as they only accept cash and tried calling the company for a receipt and to fight the bill to which she was told the lady who handles that was not a available that day. This company is fleecing college students out of their money and it's shameful the way the run a business. Not only is this complaint being filed but the local news stations will be alerted as well of the unethical business practices that are occuring at this company.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/28/2022

We supply a towing service by request of the complex your daughter lives in. These are rules set forth by the property, not us. The permits are given out as a way for the drivers to know if a vehicle is supposed to be parked in that lot, since the permit was not visible that is the reason for the tow and once hooked up that is why a charge is due. You are more than welcome to call back anytime to receive a receipt or leave a message for one, as we have no problem supplying one. We are not targeting college students...as said previously, this property has a parking policies that must be followed that all residents are made aware of at the time of move in.

    Thank you
