I attempted to change my number on my account for verification purposes 3 times, only for my request to not go through, they then flagged my account leaving me without any access to my funds. I have been with this bank for several years and am now an out of state customer. I missed work and spent several hours talking to several RUDE associates. I was told multiple times Id receive a call back only to not receive one. They gave me the biggest run around with no actual solution. I am now out **** and they will not take any way to prove I am me without going into a branch. I live over **** miles away, I should not have this problem. I will not stop until I have access to my account and the associates I dealt with are reprimanded ******, ****** and ******. I don't know how a cooperate bank ( yes smaller than most) has zero solution on how to assist a out of state customer. I provided the security number they requested and offered to jump through HOOPS and this is how I am being treated. I also NEVER received an email from fraud or anyone stating my account was on hold to possible fraud. All the purchases I make are similar in size and location. I am a veteran and do have trouble remembering passcodes but this is beyond me and I feel extremely discriminated especially when I am willing to provide any and all proof I am who I say I am. This behavior is absolutely disgusting.

       Better Business Bureau:

After having to buy a new device and reinstate a old number I finally was able to get things resolved however I am not satisfied in the effort I had to make to get it done and do not recommend Bremer to any out of state customers. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

My employer offers gift cards for 5 years in service. They purchased it from Bremer Bank in the amount of $25. Due to the pandemic, I and all employees, have been working remotely since March, 2020. The gift was placed on my desk which I found recently after they opened the office. Bremer bank's policy is fully disclosed on the card that they will charge for inactivity, but *********** AG website states "********* law generally prohibits the sale of a gift card/gift certificate that has an expiration date or that is subject to any type of service fee (including a dormancy fee)." They drained the card to $1.40, essentially, in my opinion, stealing funds from a non-profit who is trying to reward a long time employee. I don't have documents, but could provide the card number and the transactions are easily discoverable.
