      DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! I had the worst customer service experience ever! I've worked in the customer service field for over 10 years and JOHN at Matt's Moving was rude and most unprofessional person I'd ever spoke too!!! He talk to me like I was child and raise his voice when I asked him to repeat his question. Didn't bother explaining to me when I told him I didn't understand his question and just rasie his voice instead of explaining anything to me. I told him I would not tolerate being speaking to like this and will not be using their service or recommend it to anyone else in the future. If I can put ZERO stars I would!

      We hired Matt’s Moving to unload a U-Pack trailer. It took 3 movers 2.5 hours to unload 14 linear ft of a pup trailer, from the street to a 2-story house. We paid $235/hr, plus a $235 “trip charge.” There was a $250 deposit. We tipped $10/hr per mover.
      We didn’t know the price upfront, only the deposit. In my moving madness, I assumed it would be no pricier than movers in San Francisco. That’s on me for not asking, but also their website doesn’t show pricing, which is unusual. Ultimately, it was very expensive for what they did, especially the “trip fee” that was the same cost as an hour of 3 movers’ time despite them driving 20 minutes and not having to use their truck for moving anything. It cost more than the most expensive local movers in San Francisco ($250/h for 4 movers, $60 trip fee). I asked them to waive the trip fee after I paid, and they took $50 off.
      On the day of the move, they were on time. I introduced myself and each of them said their name was “Dennis”, which was odd. It struck me as something they all agreed to in order to make it harder to report any one person. They put down runners to protect the floor and carpet, but often walked off of these even after I asked them to not wear shoes on the newly-cleaned carpet.
      They were kind enough to lend me their razor and tools when I needed to take something apart so that it would fit up some stairs. Generally, their communication made it seem like they’d rather be anywhere else (which is fair, this job sucks, it was just noticeable).
      The company used SuperMove for inventory, and the system was a mess. I had to talk to several people at the moving office about inventory, and fill out the inventory 3 times, because SuperMove didn’t record it and employees didn’t talk to each other.
      In the end, they moved the stuff just fine, if much slower than expected. The work they did wasn’t that different from TaskRabbit and I probably won’t use them again just because it was so expensive.

Our estimates are based on the information provided to us, and without a detailed inventory upfront, we offer a range to account for potential variations. In your case, the actual time fell within the estimated range of 1-3 hours, taking 2.75 hours to complete. The estimate we provided outlined all of this.
      Regarding the trip charge, it covers the truck, fuel, and crew labor. We did adjust the trip charge as much as our tariff allows, and we're sorry that it still felt excessive to you.
      Our team places floor runners in high-traffic areas to protect your home, and per OSHA regulations, they must wear protective footwear to prevent injuries. We understand the importance of maintaining your clean carpet and apologize if this was not adequately managed.
      We also acknowledge your concerns about the SuperMove system and the repeated inventory process. We are working on improving our internal communication and system efficiency to provide a smoother experience for our customers.

      It was wonderful! What a hard-working crew. The three young men worked their butts off and we’re so courteous and respectful.
      They were fast and efficient. I really can’t say enough good things about the crew and the moving company. It’s the second time that I’ve used Matts, I was happy the first time and this time was even better.

      I would NOT recommend using this company to move your personal belongings. It was one of the WORST experiences I have had moving. This is my 5th time moving and nothing compares. There was a lot of inappropriate language going on during the move. My elliptical Arrived at my new house damaged to the point where it cannot be used. If I were to buy this piece of equipment new it would be $2000 and the company is offering me $180 for reimbursement. In addition, they had to go back and pick up my workout equipment. The buyers from my previous home said they sent back with the movers, towels, a vacuum cleaner and cooking supplies. The only thing that was returned to me was a vacuum. I’m extremely upset, I have been told a call will be returned and I’m still waiting for that. I’ve been told that someone will come out and look at the piece of equipment and I’m still waiting for the call. However, the fact is that I’m being offered $180 as a replacement part is ridiculous. It’s also gonna cost me money to hire someone to remove from my house and disregard. I find the Customer Service to be AWFUL and I would NEVER recommend this company to be used by anybody. I called the company over a month to schedule this appointment and asked for a specific mover that had experience with moving workout out equipment. The service operator was not on move. And that was quite frustrating as well. Also, when I had to review the initial invoice, They were charging me for form movers, and only three came. So I had to call the main line to get that adjusted, which was another thing added to a busy day. I would like to be a reimbursed for my whole moving experience in addition to replacing my elliptical and the removal fee from the home in order to make this right. For all CONSUMERS Save your time and find a different company!

      First and foremost, please accept my sincerest apologies for any inappropriate language that occurred during your move. This does not reflect the level of professionalism we strive for. I assure you that we take such matters very seriously.
      Regarding the damage to your elliptical, we have reach out to send a tech out, with little success. We have requested photos and the serial number so that we can rectify the situation, with no response.  If you can please provide us with the requested photos and serial number, we can expedite the assessment process.

      Matt's Moving is great. Would highly recommend them for your next move. The movers were on time, they were courteous, helpful and fun to work with. They were so fast and organized. I just could not believe how fast they loaded and unloaded the truck.

      I booked them for a Sunday move for a 9AM start. I even paid extra.
      No show. No call. Nothing. They apologized (the next day) and refunded the money, which is sort of secondary. What I wanted was the service. Disappointed in the level of professionalism.
      Be cautious when booking with Matt’s.
