      I've been going to Nystrom for medication management for about 4-5 years now. I came to them after a one week hospitalization for severe depression. They have been a lifesaver for me. I see ************** and she is so caring and has regulated my meds so well. I trust her with my mental health and I have finally leveled out . I am beyond happy with Nystrom's.

      Worst mental health practioners by far. They are pseudoscientific and normalize abuse. They should not be allowed to practice

      Please take all the negative reviews seriously. I am a former mental health professional, no longer working due to disability. Nystrom doesnt even know how to properly wean a patient off of benzodiazepines. Their decision making put me in life threatening position. I have no history of drug abuse yet I was aggressively treated like a drug seeking client, while trying to refill a long standing prescription for Xanax, while I waited to see the next psychiatrist. Yes, their turnover is high a red flag. I have filed official complaints with the Attorney General of **, the nursing board and this review. BEWARE! Go somewhere else!!

      I was talking with someone I liked while I was out for surgery. She was helpful. Then I went back to work. I had Fridays off and only worked 7 to 3 but she was part time and couldn't talk to me. It took a couple months to get a new counselor. She started late and her equipment wasn't working. I talked to her for 20 minutes and she tells me we are not a good fit. I just said goodbye and hung up after that. It seems she has a job not fit for her. Now I have nothing. My life is a mess. I barely make it through each day. I have no friends or family and need a counselor. I now again don't have one and no one spoke to me about a new one. Starting over always *****. I'm a vet and called the crisis line. The VA is to busy to help me. There seems to be nothing out there to help me

      I had 3 "sessions" over the phone.. First one was to diagnose me even though I have already been diagnosed and medicated prior to coming to Nystrom and Associates.Second session was to put together a plan for treatment.Third session was the first actual therapy session.I can't express enough how pointless this all was.The therapist didn't care and was hardly engaging with me. I felt like I was the one leading the therapy session.I didn't book any more appointments and then when I got my bill I was flabbergasted. Over $300 for absolutely nothing.Do not waste your time if you're serious about your mental health.

In order to determine whether a client is eligible to be seen for mental health services, a mental health professional must conduct a diagnostic assessment, per ** Statute 245I.10, subd. 2. The diagnostic assessment is a series of questions often conducted at the first appointment. After completing a clients diagnostic assessment and before providing therapy services to a client, the mental health professional must complete the clients individual treatment plan, per ** Statute 245.I10, subd. 8.       *********************, ********, ** is an old fashioned/not amendable therapist. During my initial phone call it seemed he didn't believe me. While I understand individuals lie, I did not. He kept asking me the same questions, which I replied with the same answer over and over again. I would not recommend someone so old fashioned/un open minded.

      If you want to DEVELOP depression and anger issues, this is the place to go. After 2 sessions I quit therapy. Before those 2 appts I paid the $20/appt copay as they instructed. After canceling prescheduled appts they starting texting and sending me letters threatening and harassing me. They sent me a letter that said they were sending my $40 bill to a collection agency. I called several times. I asked to talk to an administrator. They made it impossible for me to talk to anyone! They are cruel.

      This is the most unprofessional mental health group I've ever worked with. Used their ***** service. Supervisor ghosted me for 2 months and wouldn't return mine or Therapist calls. When I got a worker she dropped me after 2nd visit telling me it was a mutual decision. Spend another week trying to talk to someone above the supervisor and she started off not by saying sorry or asking for my side of event just said the same lies to me. Then acted annoyed with me and asking if I want services or not. Please never use for mental health for your own safety, they will abuse you.
