  For my current experience (ie never-ending headache): 1 star For previous experience: a grudging additional star We ordered 7 double casement windows (so, actually 14 windows) in June of 2021 through a well-reviewed company in the ************* ********. It is almost 15 months later and we are still missing a window. There are also minor annoyances and permanent manufacturing flaws in many of the windows we do have. I would not recommend Marvin windows to anyone at this point.I understand the global supply chain issues. So, it was unfortunate, but understandable, that there was a price increase while we were in the process of receiving and reviewing quotes (to an eye poppingly high cost). And that the original estimate of 4 months to get windows turned into 6 then 7 months until receipt. But the problems began at installation. About half of the windows have handles that were placed improperly in manufacturing. When you turn the latch of the casement window to unlock or lock it, it scrapes the central wooden frame; this both rubs paint off onto the handle and is slowly gouging out the wooden frame where it scrapes. And the installers can't do anything to correct the issue because the window won't install properly or lock correctly if they fiddle with it.Then, unfortunately, the installers shattered a window. We waited almost 6 more months for the replacement (as well as some additional limiters which we'd requested in our original order and not received). Installers came today. The window is the incorrect size. And the limiters are wrong too. So, we'll continue to have a shattered, covered-in-red-tape, window for however long it takes to get a new one. It's unknown if the incorrect window dimensions are the fault of our installers or Marvin. They both had our original order and measurements, so I don't understand how neither side caught the error.I am immensely frustrated with our installers. But the quality control of the Marvin windows is utterly terrible.

  I have 74 Marvin windows in my house, I purchased them in ****. They are all starting to fail, sadly not only does Marvin not honor its warranty to the original purchaser but they provide no support for their windows and doors. They will not sell me new pane replacement, trim replacement, or even new seals or gaskets. They told me I should just replace them, 74 windows and 22 french doors. This is not an honest company.

  Dear valued customer:Thank you for taking the time to leave us your BBB Review, though we are quite sorry to hear that youve been dissatisfied with your Marvin experience, especially your expectations for lifetime windows. Since houses are designed and built to last for generations, it may seem counter intuitive that windows, especially wood windows such as yours, generally have a comparatively, much shorter useful life than the overall house. Frankly, their useful life is not ****** dissimilar to that of trucks/cars, and just like a car a lot depends on factors such as periodic maintenance, their location in which they are used, and their exposure to the elements. So with this in mind, the fact that your windows are now nearly 30 years old, really does have a bearing on what wed consider to be reasonable performance expectations. With that said, wed encourage you to look further into your window replacement options and would be delighted for you to consider Marvin product again. Our windows today employ state of the art technologies coupled with award winning design and style. We hope youll give us another look.

  What a dishonest response. In **** Marvin sued and won $125,000,000. award from their wood preservative supplier. They also settled a multi-million dollar class action lawsuit from customers like me whose windows had failed. Unfortunately, they did not notice me (and undoubtedly many others) so that I could participate in the class action lawsuit and so I was not able to participate in the settlement. And now they suggest my $125,000.00 investment in Marvin windows really should not be expected to last any longer. Their response says nothing about their own lawsuit against their supplier or the settlement they paid to other customers who had purchased their windows. Milgard, a much more economical window company offers a lifetime warranty on their windows
