On 12/24/24 I used BEK moving to move homes from ********* ******** to ************* ********. The moving service was great aside from they did not send a large enough truck. After the move was complete and all paperwork was signed, I noticed damages to the drywall, flooring has two large gouges in it, and the ********* top is dented. I contacted BEK on 12/30 aftet the Christmas holiday to discuss the issue. I voiced to them that I was not concerned about the scuffs on the drywall as it was a new construction home and the builders used cheap white builder grade paint and we had planned on repainting. On 1/4/25 I began emailing BEK as it is impossible to get a call back. A ***** ******** eventually called me and said that the company was going to shrug it off regarding the damages to my home. This is unacceptable. 2/4 BEK sent a ********* to my home to assess the damages. I again voiced that I was not as concerned about the drywall scuffs but was concerned about the flooring ********* top. This is a new construction home that we have been working for several years to attain and move our family into. The ********* asked me to text him the make and model of the flooring which I did. 3/20 I sent another email to *** asking if they were going to follow through with repairs or I will contact the BBB 3/21 they responded with well what did the ********* say3/26 I again emailed asking when I was going to be able to have damages repaired to my home. Mr ***** ******* responded that we were waiting for the ********* to respond. I am the customer here. I attained services in December and it has been 90 days with no resolution.Business Response

We have been in contact with ***** since the report of the damage. I will answer the concerns are she stated below;
1. The reason the truck did not fit all her items is because they did not provide accurate inventory as recorded in our system and did not move the items that they had stated previously they would move.
2. ***** was told we were "shrugging it off" because what we offered as a solution was not up to her standard. The pre-move letter clearly states how damages are handled and after trying to come to an agreement and even allow her own ********* to come assess the situation. She threatened us with a review on BBB. We went above what was required and she was uncooperative and unfortunately blamed us for damages she committed.
3. The damages reported were not done by BEK Moving and reported after the move was finished. They were due to sliding boxes and totes around on the ground. The damages to the ********* top we offered to help with the repairs even though we did not accept any responsibility of the damage or claim fault. We were in contact with them multiple times over the 90 days. ***** even wanted her own ********* to come and assess the damages. When we asked what the what their ********* said, we received no reply.

I have included email correspondence and text exchange from *** regarding the initial contact when I was told they are shrugging it off. I contacted the owner of the company and he spoke with this employee who sent this text. Having a bad day/week is no excuse to conduct yourself in this manner towards customers.
I was under the impression that BEK is finding a contractor to fix the damages to my home. I would use my own construction person but they are unfortunately booked out until mid-late August. I am more than capable of these repairs myself. I have already patched and repainted drywall as stated I would. The gel epoxy for the floor would be about $20. Then a 1x12x6 is around $20 plus a quart of stain. I already have the **** nails and quarter round needed. So all in all, this repair for damages should cost about $50 not including labor.
As far as myself committing damages, I specifically picked this flooring type as it is used in several of the displays homes and has a very high hardness rating so sliding a tote or box across it will not causes the gouges included in the pictures. Also, there are two half moon gouges in front of the steps to the basement. This suggests something heavy was pivoted and turned to cause this pattern.
The ********* top was most definitely caused by the refrigerator being brought in through the front door and getting stuck between the wall and the top of the rail. I saw this occurring on the day of the move and knew I should have taken a picture of this but Im not someone who consistently has a phone in their hand.
After three months of email correspondence and several unreturned phone calls I am very disappointed in the follow through of this incident. I do not wish to harm anyone or anything through this process but I feel I am left up a creek without a paddle so to speak. I feel as if reaching out to the BBB is the only option I have to come to a resolution with this.
I specifically used BEK moving as it is highly recommended by others and owned by a family friend. It is widely advertised that BEK takes pride in protecting belonging and homes/dwellings from damages. This does not seem to be the case.
Normally I do not hire anyone to do services that I am more than capable of doing myself. However, I suppose I will have to be rethinking my decisions from here on out if the company is unwilling to assist in repairs to my home that were caused during a very hectic move.

We hired H3135**353337**353033Hmpany to help us move. ***************** us we would have a crew of 8 and there was only 6 who showed up. These 6 started using marijuana shortly after arriving. They dripped and broke our lathe, a 3in piece of wood from our custom bed, they lost 1 of 8 specialty screws to hold our bed together and damaged our Tempur-Pedic beyond repair. We told ****** about the damage and marijuana use and he response was his crew doesn**;t do marijuana. He did agree to take the broken lathe for repairs but months passed but mailed it back to me still broken but now missing a piece. We are facing $4200 to replace the lathe at lease $3000 to replace our Tempur-pedic. The repais for our broken custom headboard are to be determined.Initial Complaint

They sent a paper out for me to fill out to inform them what I had. They continued to send this document. I paid them $2000.00. They did not move the clothing racks, they did not move 75 or 80 boxes stating that the boxes could not fit in the truck. I have to pay someone else to move the boxes. I requested to speak to the owner, I talked to the Eric Perez and he stated that he was the owner. Eric lied about being the owner and he is not I would like some of my money back due to them not doing every thing they said they were going to do they did not do. I would like a refund in the amount of the $200.00 deposit that I paid them.Business Response

**** signed her invoice showing that she had read our pre-move letter and agreed to the terms of the move prior to our professionals beginning the job. She then signed again stating that we had performed a walk through and removed all the items we could move out of her old residence. signing then a third time saying that she agreed to pay in full and that the move had been done to satisfaction.
**** was not prepared to move as stated in the pre-move letter. Upon arriving to her load **** had 80 boxes with open tops. Wardrobe containers that had been filled with clothing as well as other items.
**** was still packing items on the day of the move. The are all things that we ask the customer to have prepared and ready to go to avoid any issues or the move could take a little longer than expected. **** was quoted for a 4 man move to take 7 hours. If she was prepared and the elevators to the 3rd floor and 8th floor apartments, we moved her from and too are working. Upon arriving to the unload, the elevator was no fully functional therefore also lengthening the move. Overall, the move only took 8.25 hours or 1.25 longer than quoted. Given her unpreparedness and the issues with the elevator **** was aware that the move would take a little longer.
We did our best to assist **** and complete a full move. We filled 1-26 ft box truck as agreed and gave her 4 of our professionally trained staff for an entire day to work with. Moving is an industry where it is best if customers assist in packing, moving smaller items, and communicating clearly their needs as much as it is on our company to provide a professional service.
**** although stating she understood and signed off on understanding did not complete her portion of the agreement.
