1 starI've been going to Clarkson Eyecare for years but never again. I went in for my yearly eye exam which is covered by vision insurance. They always ask for my health insurance card which I always tell the front desk person that my health insurance does not cover anything. I go back for my pre-exam and the lady tells me tells me to place my head in the machine for eye photos. I asked her if it cost anything and she said it was free. I told her it has never been free in the past. I asked if she was sure and she looked down at the sheet and again stated it was free. In the past, I would pay for the photos every other year and would pay out of pocket about $27 dollars. I get to the front to pay for contacts/co-pay and the front desk worker asked about the eye photos and was told not to add it. Low and behold, they charged my health insurance and I had to pay $69. This is a deceptive practice. I contacted billing at Clarkson but they said. They couldn't do anything about it but take off $25 because they sent it to my health insurance.Eyecare Partners, LLC

We apologize for the issues that this patient has had in regards to the bill she recieved. Upon review of the patient's chart, the photos were billed medically for reasons the doctor explained on the exam sheet in the patient's chart and that we are happy to discuss with the patient. 1 starTook my aunt for a post surgery check up, her appointment was at 10:20 a.m., we did not leave there until 1:30 p.m. This is the second time we've had to wait. The last time was over two hours. This is ridiculous! The place was packed, some people were standing. Elderly people may not be able to sit or stand for that long, but they don't care. The front office staff are rude and could care less. If you cannot get your patient in and out withn an hour then don't schedule so many people! I would never recommend this facility, ever!Eyecare Partners, LLC

1 starDo NOT go to Clarkson ********* I went there a year ago for a follow-up visit and returned unopened medication. I also purchased something additional to assist with my watering eye issue. While standing there the doctor who I have seen for 20 years said "there is NO charge for today". 6 months later I got a $50 bill. I called the office they said we will take care of it. Then, 3 months later they sent me to a collection company. If I had a bill, I would have paid it while I was there, LIKE I HAVE FOR 20 YEARS. This year, they called me and said if you don't pay your bill we will cancel you as a patient. Both my husband and I are going to another practice. GOOD. BYE.....Fraud in practice in my opinion! 1 starI've been wearing glasses for over 60 years , went to Clarkson in Warrenton MO. for the first time and i have never been so disappointed in an eye care i have ever had more than them. This was in Jan. 2023 my glasses have been adjusted 4 times and they still are giving me problems sore nose and ears along with reading . Along with that i ordered prescription sun glasses its been 3 weeks called this morning 2/17/23 and they said the company that make them are waiting on the frames maybe next week GIVE ME A **** BREAK i'm fed-up and ****** OFF .Eyecare Partners, LLC

I have passed your review along to the office manager at the location so that she can reach out to you to help get your problem with your existing glasses resolved. It appears that the order for the prescription sunglasses that you mentioned was placed about 16 days after your original order for your dress glasses, and that would have been received by our lab at the end of January. Unfortunately due to the custom nature of the product that we offer, glasses can take ***** business days to come into our offices barring any quality issues or breakages at the lab. The office should have kept you aware of any such issues, and we will have the office manager reach out to you with an update and a resolution imminently. 1 starWhat a surprise!! I am charged $199 just for being a new patient, not including the eye exam. All I went there for was the eye exam. I looked all over their website and never found anywhere they charge you for being a new patient. What a rip. So if you are thinking of going there, don't.Review fromRonald W.

2 starsHave been going to CEC for years with good results. For my annual checkup this year I used the ******** location for the first time. Experience with optometrist was great. After wearing hard or gas permeable lenses for 40 years I decided to try out soft lenses as the doctor said soft lenses had been much improved for people with astigmatisms. Unfortunately, they did not work out as the near vision was not corrected enough so I called and ordered new gas permeable lenses. Called back a week later to check the status and order and doctor had not signed off. Just called again after another two weeks to see when the contacts would be in. Once again, not signed off by the doctor and said they would get the doctors sign off and order. Hi would highly recommend not using this location if you need any support after the time of your visit.Review fromJasmyne D.

1 starOn 11/14/2022 I had an appointment at this location and I was treated very poorly by 2 workers . I was dissatisfied with my service I had questions and concerns and the workers was very dismissive of me to black women . They were very rude to and when I ask the lady question about my paperwork about my insurance she replied she trying to get me in out. Her tone was very hostile the she threw my glasses these were my own I brought in to the store , and stated she felt threatened after I asked could she please not belittle me Im only asking questions. After she threw my glasses and paperwork she said I dont have to help you Im not help get up out of here. The other lady proceeded to say she is not going to help me either shes standing with her co worker . Next they both was yelling get out this store so I sat there one of the lady grab some scissors and act like she was about to stab me the other came towards me pushing and then they sent the police to my home only because of my information on the paperwork. I would never shop here again now I have to go to court all because of these ignorant women who didnt want to do their job and did me a disservice be aware of these types of offices they want to get you in and out they dont care about the customer health or anything. 1 starI visited Clarkson Eyecare on August 5, 2021 for them to redo the glaucoma test. Please note that I have vision insurance and they accepted it at the initial visit. When I went back to retest they said that the Vision Insurance could not be used again and that I had to use my Health insurance. Please note at the time of my visit they said the cost of the visit was $99.00 and that I would be responsible for a 70.00 for a co-insurance. I explained to them that my health care plan did not cover eye exams but that I have a Vision Plan from ****** ********** which they had accepted a month before for my annual checkup, the receptionist said that my Vision Plan wouldn’t cover the visit and that I had to pay the 70.00 co-pay. Fast forward months later I receive a bill from Clarkson saying that the visit was 233.40 and that insurance did not cover the visit. How did the visit go from 99.00 to 233.40. Despite the fact that I have called Clarkson over 5 times during the past six months and spoke to *******, ******** and several other people who assured me that they were short staffed but that someone would call me back, no one has ever called me back, instead they forward me to a collection agency. I have a copy of the receipt dated August 5, 2021 indicating that the visit was 99.00 and that I paid 70.00 co pay. I gave the collection agency all the information and they got back to me a month later stating that I had to pay 163.40. This is ridiculous. The total cost of the visit was 99.00 in which I already paid 70.00, at best I should only have a balance of 29.00 due. I am so upset with Clarkson, I have the receipt but that doesnt seem to mean anything. I will never use Clarkson again.Review fromShawn S

1 stari have been waiting weeks without any updates on the status of my contact lenses. When I call I get an answering machine and have yet to get a return call. I go on a trip in a few days and relied on Clarkson to do their job appropriately so I can see while on vacation. Ive been double and triple wearing my DAILY WEAR contacts out of necessity due to not having my prescription I paid for. At very least having someone call and update me would be great, but I cant even seem to get that. The ******************, **** location has deplorable customer service.Eyecare Partners, LLC

Typically contact lenses for our patients come into the office in 5-7 business days, but the delay this patient has experienced is well beyond that. We absolutely understand the frustration that it is to not only have blurred vision, but to simply not know where your order is. The district manager and the office manager of this location have been alerted to this patient's need and will be checking on the status of the patient's order as well as trying to source contact lenses from another location to help the patient until the order can either be located or replaced by our vendor. We apologize for the issues that this patient has had getting an appointment with us. Unfortunately it looks like she had two charts in our computer system which has caused some technical difficulties on the back end for us. We are working with our IT department to fix this issue so we can streamline communication to this patient. Additionally, we don't see where this patient has scheduled 3 times, just an appointment that was scheduled for a few weeks ago and one that is on the books as an upcoming appointment. We have contacted the office manager of this location to reach out to the patient to make sure we have correct information in the sytem for the patient and to cancel the upcoming appointment if it is no longer needed.
