    On or about 11/23/23, my husband was seen at the emergency room at ******************************, **. He is a 100% disabled veteran. I, personally, called and informed the 24 hour phone number to inform them that he was being seen, as required. Now they're saying that there was no referral number and it's my duty to get it(this bill is for a CT scan). To me, it's their responsibility to contact the VA ********* care division to get that number. The reference number on the bill is: *******

    The consumer indicates in the complaint that the consumer took her husband to the provider.  The consumer comments that the provider told him that he needs to get a referral number from the VA for this visit.  The consumer believes the provider should do this.
    The consumers desired resolution is for a billing adjustment.
    Upon receipt of complaint, ARC reviewed the account. ARC sent the complaint to the creditor.The creditor has obtained the auth number and the claim has been rebilled.  The creditor asked ARC to place the account on hold which ARC did.

    This debt collector Account Resoution Cor has furnished an account #***** on my credit report that we didn't agree upon and I havent sign any agreements. This is the 3rd time a company has mistaken me for another individual with the same name. This is the absolute wrong time to add a fake account on my report. This is the only false and fraudulent account on my credit report. I haven't had medical issues and I would like it to stay that way. Also, they havent followed proper procedure which makes this unfair practices of the FDCPA. Im sure there is a compensation for this type of fraudulent activity. If this does not get removed from all credit reporting agencies in less than 15 days I will have to file in my local court for unfair practices and fraudulent activity.

    Account Resolution Corporation (ARC) received this complaint ******** on 11/7/23.
    The consumer indicates in the complaint that the consumer had no agreement with ARC that would allow furnishing the account to the credit bureaus.  Consumer indicates this is a fake and fraudulent account and that ARC has not followed the FDCPA. The consumer’s desired resolution is for ARC to correct the credit report.
    The consumer sent a letter on 9/27/23 requesting validation of the debt.  Debt validation was mailed to the consumer on 10/25/23. The consumer has requested no communication except debt validation. If the consumer believes this is identity theft, ARC recommends the consumer complete a notarized FTC Identity Theft Victim’s Complaint and Affidavit and return it to ARC with a police report. Upon receipt of these documents, ARC will continue the investigation and review of the account. ARC has agreements with creditors to forward accounts for collection. An agreement is not required between the consumer and ARC.  The consumer does not indicate what is fake or fraudulent and how ARC has not followed the FDCPA.
    ***** P. ****, Jr., President of ARC would typically attempt to call the consumer, however the consumer on 9/27/23 requested on communication except for debt validation. ARC would like the consumer to know that their office is available to discuss the account/complaint at any time. As it relates to the consumer’s request that the account is corrected with the credit report, ARC would like the consumer to know that the policy of ARC is to credit report accurately. Since the consumer has received supporting documentation for the debt, the consumer has not indicated what is fake and fraudulent about the account, and ARC has not received a notarized FTC Identity Theft Victim’s Complaint and Affidavit with a police report, there was nothing further for ARC to do at this time as it relates to the complaint. However, ARC remains available to discuss the complaint with the consumer at any time.
