      Hello,

      I need to have Mohela remove my balance that has been paid from my credit report. They’re not responding and I don’t know where else to go. My student loan balance was paid off in August and it still remains on my credit report, which affects any loan/interest rate I may be seeking. I paid off 163,000 through debt forgiveness by the Biden Administration and I need it removed and it’s been almost 3 months now.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      MOHELA has yet to contact me.

      Furthermore, all it has to do is simply switch the status of my loan. This doesn't even require contacting me for information as the issue is layed out in the initial complaint.

      Nevertheless, if MOHELA stated on November 1st that they will contact me, the prudent assumption is within the next couple days, not the next business week or beyond. Here we are starting a new week.

      *************************nth which I was OK with. I was told to check back after 10/17/23 and they would forbear my payments until November. As of today, I have yet to see a change in processing on 10/27/23. They have also been unable to process my PSLF application submitted on 9/14/23. I am worried as I cannot afford to make they $473 payments in addition to my private loans and COL. I am looking to have these applications processed in their system.

      I filed a complaint against MOHELA on 9/7/23 because they took my student loans off of the income driven plan (PAYE) that had a monthly payment of $277 and they placed me on LEVEL payment plan with a $4261.84 monthly payment. MOHELA's response to my complaint was to put some of my loans into administrative forebearance while they looked into the matter. The problem is they only put 4 of my 8 loans into forebearance and left the other ones in repayment. No one has had to recertify their income during the payment pause and no one is required to recertify until March 2024 at the earliest. I finally called MOHELA and waited for 2 hours on hold. They told me I had to recertify which was possible over the phone. I provided income information and personal details over the phone but then received a notice denying my application for SAVE. There website clearly states they are able to accept self reported income and they assured me that my application would be approved and quoted me a payment of approx $400 per month on SAVE. I now have a huge payment for my loans and am unable to get back into contact with MOHELA to try and solve this issue.

      I am rejecting this response because: I have not gotten an explanation as to why I was assured by the representative from MOHELA the $627.26 auto debit would be taken out on 10/20/23 instead I had to call back several days later when I found out my account was in delinquent status and had to manually pay the remainder to get out of delinquency.

      MOHELA Third party Authorizationd MOHELA wait a year to alert us to this fact? I am well aware of the thousands and thousands of complaints against MOHELA but they have yet to address my situation in a satisfactory manner and I have no other resources but to continue to file complaints. I cannot get ahold of MOHELA without waiting on hold for 5-10 hours. To my knowledge they have yet to make any kind of public statement about the system issues that they are dealing with.
