      I have no idea how MOHELA is allowed to manage federal student loans with how utterly useless and frustrating their customer service is. Ive called them six times to resolve an issue with a remaining balance of 18 cents. Every single call takes an eternity to reach someone, only to get a *** who has no clue what theyre doing. Instead of helping, they just pass me off to an advanced agent" which means more waiting and still no answers. The last call I made, the agent kept me on hold for a long time and then just hung up on me. No callback, no resolution, nothing. I have no idea what she even did, if anything.This is outrageous. It shouldnt be this hard to get basic help on a loan. The incompetence, delays, and complete lack of accountability from MOHELA is beyond belief. How is this even acceptable??!?!

      I was employed at MOHELA for 14 months and, during that time, I experienced a consistent lack of transparency from the company. During my hiring process, I was informed that fringe ***** additional payment provided by the Department of Educationwould be distributed annually. However, after 14 months of employment, I had not received this payment.When I reached out to the Assistant Director of *************** for clarification, I was given a completely different explanation than what I had originally been told. I later learned that other employees received conflicting answers when they inquired about the same issue. It became clear that there was a pattern of inconsistent and misleading information regarding fringe pay.I have since contacted the ******************* and sought legal counsel. It appears MOHELA may have misappropriated these funds, keeping the money intended for employees compensation. Instead of receiving the fringe pay directly, a small portion was redirected into my 401(k), but the amount is minimal and does not reflect what is owed.MOHELA is currently involved in a lawsuit, and it seems likely that the company is using these funds to serve its own interests. I did not expect this level of dishonesty from a federal loan servicer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend MOHELA as a trustworthy or ethical employer.

      I'm trying to tell them that I can't afford my monthly payments, but they don't listen. I send my W2, they say they want pay stubs, I send pay stubs, they say they want proof of payment of my other student loans. There are no other student loans, I've told them at least three time via email and over the phone. The only loans are just what they got from Navient. Meanwhile, they keep sending me delinquent notices while I actively ask them for help.

      If I could leave negstice stars I would! I can't get a straight answer out of anyone. Even mentioned if they were my loan servicer like she ****** didn't know for sure. Only read what I already could find on student *******. I was continuously put on hold for her to come back and say thanks for holing can I please put you on a brief hold. I asked to talk to a supervisor because she wasn't answering my questions at all. I was put on 4 more holds each time I asked if I wad being transferred to someone who could help me, she refused to answer. She was just hoping I would hang up. When I was finally transferred I got sent to a recording saying all supervisors are busy and could take up to 2 days for someone to call me back. Their customer service has no answers and also doesn't care. Incredibly frustrating when everyone is stressed and trying to find answers.

      I have reached out to MOHELA multiple times regarding inaccurate charges. I am currently on forbearance and was on the SAVE program. I received a letter December 20, 2024, informing me that I was placed in forbearance and that due to being on the SAVE program my interest rate would be 0%. However, I have been incurring interest since my loan was moved to MOHELA. I have reached out multiple times to resolve the matter however I have not been successful. My last attempt resulted in waiting 3 hours on hold and unfortunately, I was not able to wait any longer and hung up.

      Impossible to get anyone on the phone. The phone system seems designed to have you go in circles and never reach anyone and end up hanging up due to frustration. I've been on hold for over two hours. I was sent a letter stating my loans are accruing interest. My interest rate is 0% so how can it be accruing interest? When I called them they said that my loans are in fact at 0% and they don't know what letter I got stating it was accruing interest. The letter I received was through their account messaging system. Still trying to get someone on the phone or via chat.

      Cannot talk to a human person, no response via email. It is literally impossible to navigate your student loan issues with this servicer. How can they continue to get away with this? I have to communicate via a non for-profit organization for help. This should be a crime.

      Yeah, look at the other reviews. These guys are terrible. I can't believe my Federal loaned was automatically sent to this company who doesn't even possess a BBB accreditation. I later refinanced to a private loan and there was a $1500 discrepancy (meaning increase) on my balance upon the transfer. It has now been 5 months since then and I am told it will be another 6 months before I receive my refund. This doesn't include the increased interest I have been paying on an incorrect balance. However, the hours I have spent on hold to speak with nearly incompetent employees will never be refunded. The lack of care and concern my the "specialized" staff is preposterous. If you have a choice, steer clear of these guys.

      If I could leave ZERO stars i would. I have been on hold for over 2.5 hours. I have taken a shower and cleaned house while waiting for someone to pick up. They are a horrible company to do business with. If looking for a loan go elsewhere.
