The most unprofessional horrendous business to deal with. The loan officer is incompetent at doing his job. This company should take Veteran from their company name. They dont need to take any credit for helping veterans get homes. This whole process has been a train wreck from beginning to end. Our loan officer gave us our pre approval for one amount then increased it a couple of weeks later. We didnt ask for an increase. We were encouraged to start shopping for a home. Found one went under contract, paid for inspections and appraisal. The closing date changed 4 times. Not our fault on closing it was theirs every single time. *** had to start and stop home owners insurance 3 times because closing dates kept changing. Told we owed nothing at closing to then owing $4000 fees kept changing and the loan officer decided to wait until last minute to tell us he made a mistake and our approval amount was to high. We even made it to conditional closing which is the next step after pre approval and was told we had a green light on everythingand should close soon. Then was told the loan couldnt proceed. We gave them everything they wanted from us in a hurry usually by end of day or next day and kept being reassured that everything was good. We paid off debts they requested us to pay. Paid for appraisal out of pocket only to see it being charged under fees again. I wish wed never found them online. We were under the impression they worked with veterans, we were wrong. They not only wasted our time but also tied up the sellers property for nearly 2 months even asked to request an extension on closing to the sellers realtor. I feel they should apologize to the property seller.

Hi ***** ******,I want to start by saying how truly sorry I am for how this experience unfolded. You put your trust in us, moved forward in good faith, and gave your time, energy, and money to a process that was supposed to lead you home. I know how hard it mustve been to go from green light to denial, and thats not something we take ********** this case, a mistake was made during the early stages of your pre-approvalspecifically related to how your household information was entered. That mistake directly affected your qualifying numbers, and unfortunately, we werent able to move forward with the loan as things became clearer during underwriting. Its on us, and Im truly sorry for the confusion and the stress it caused, not only for you but for the seller as well. While I know it doesnt undo the experience, Veterans United did reimburse the appraisal, inspection, and pest inspection fees you paid out of pocket. I realize that still doesnt touch the time, hope, and planning that went into thisand I hate that you were left feeling let down and misled by a company meant to serve you better. If youd like to talk more, or if theres anything else you want to share, our Client Advocate team is here to listen. You can reach us at ************** or ********************** Were available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ******* deserved a smoother processand a more accurate one from the start. Thank you for your patience, and for your service.Sincerely,****** *., Client Relations Manager

Veterans United Home Loans are great at getting you a loan. Behind that nice smile is dark business practices. Please go to yelp for the story of how veterans are treated after the sale. Veterans be vigilant in your research.

This all started approximately May 26, 2025, when I started the home buying process with Veterans United VU. I have an agreement with the owner for $150,000 on a home appraised at $315,000. It has been one thing after the other including constant fee increases and now two title companies?? Closing cost that have increased as well as interest rates without any explanation. I have also received papers to sign with an address for a property in ****** that has nothing to do with anything I am doing. I also paid for an appraisal for $750.00 and this also has increased to $850.00. It has been over ***************************************************** sight after being told numerous times its all but done. I am quickly losing faith in Veterans United.

Hey *****,Thanks for sharing your experienceand Im truly sorry for how stressful and unclear this process has felt. Youve been stuck in a situation with changing numbers, confusing documents, and unanswered questions, and thats not the homebuying experience anyone deserves.I do want to share that one of the major reasons things have been delayed is because of a $55,000 lien tied to the property. Thats a huge issue, and your loan team has been working with our legal department to try and resolve itwithout passing that cost on to you. I know that doesnt take away the stress youve already felt, but please know were actively trying to protect your bottom line, even if its made the process drag out longer than expected. If youd like to talk more about the details or have additional concerns, the advocates you have spoken with remain available to talk through this with you. You can reconnect with them at ************** or ********************** Were in the office Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST.Thank you for your patienceand for speaking up. Youve been more than fair.Sincerely,****** *., Client Relations Manager

These folks, Carma, ******** ******, ******. The whole team, they literally saved our lives. They gave us the opportunity to leave a dangerously run down home and into a new, healthy home where our family will thrive not just barely survive. They gave us a fighting chance to help my wife fight cancer in a healthy place.Veterans United, from start to finish worked with us every step of the way, and made the entire process so easy when we found our home we went from offer to close in just 3 1/2 weeks. Absolutely brilliant. From ****** who helped us get out credit where it needed to ***** and ******* who quick marched the loan process in short order, to ****** who even when facing a tornado watch and shelter warning still tried to help us sort out moving issues, only relenting at my urging to go now, be safe. I mean this is it folks, this is what having veterans back is about, not nice sounding platitudes and empty gestures, but boots on the ground work and dedication.Veterans United SHOULD be 100% endorsed by the ** because I doubt anyone else could have made this miracle happen. We love you all for what you've done for our family. We wish each of you only the absolute best!
