I've been taking my Mal-Shi to this groomer for the past 9 months. On 6/2/23 I took my dog in at 7:30am. My husband told them we wanted to pick the dog up between 11am. They said they would have our ready between 11am -1pm. I went to pick my dog at 2:45 pm and my dog was not ready. I was told I could take my dog and pay $50 because he already had a bath, or take him once he was fully groomed and pay $75. We agreed to pay $75 for a full grooming when my husband brought my dog in this morning, so I decided to wait and pick him up once the full grooming was completed. When I walked out the door another customer stopped me to ask about my Mustang car. As we were speaking the owner came out and assumed we were talking bad about the business, and said they were no longer providing grooming services. I was told I needed to pay $50 or they would call the police. I paid the $50 and left.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/08/2023

Every client signs an agreement stating that they are not to come pick their dog up if they have not received a text or a phone call. This can result in an additional fee which was not charged for this client. This client was habitual about showing up before her dog was ready. She has also haggled me on price multiple times. She got extremely rude and I told her that aggressive and hateful behavior will not be tolerated at any point in time. I do have the right to refuse service. We NEVER tell someone we will for sure have their dog done by a certain time. When she states that she walked out the door and I came to approach her it's because she slammed the door so hard that it knocked a picture off of a shelf I had next to the door. I went outside promptly to tell her that she could take her attitude and her dog home because I don't tolerate childish and hateful behavior. When I went out to tell her this she was already aggressively talking to another client in the parking lot. Paula did get a service which was a bath and nail trim for her dog. Therefore she is obligated to pay for those services. Just as you would be for any service you receive. There will not be a refund issued. I will attach our policy and agreement that she has signed.

      Customer Answer

She made me pay $50 for shampoo, I contracted for full groom for $75. She insisted I pay for services render and refused to provide services contracted for reasons she stated, which are false. I did not slam a door nor did I speak I'll of her with another customer. However if this is her position i will try to resolve in court. I had to go to a different groomer and pay full price fo bath/grooming.
