On March 15, 2025, my vehicle, which was parked at an apartment complex in ****************, **, was towed by Asset Towing & Recovery Services LLC. Upon investigation, I found this company operates in a highly unethical and seemingly fraudulent ********* son (18) was told via phone call their office closes at 1:30 PM on Sundays, which matches their posted online business hours. However, their listed physical address was incorrect, which I believe is an intentional tactic to confuse customers and cause delays. After significant effort, we finally located the correct address.When we attempted to retrieve the vehicle, the company representative claimed they closed at 1:00 PM, contradicting the previously communicated and advertised time of 1:30 PM. She also mentioned we would be charged a $50 gate fee for arriving after 1:00 PM.We arrived at the correct location at 1:14 PM, well before the advertised closing time, yet the staff refused to answer the door or acknowledge us. ************************************ was contacted for assistance, and the responding officer confirmed the business's notorious reputation for misleading customers. Even the officer's attempts to contact them were ignored, resulting in the officer providing me with an incident report (#) for future legal action.Due to their refusal to engage and the misleading information provided, I was forced to return the following day and pay an additional fee, bringing my total out-of-pocket cost to $565, cash only.I am requesting a full reimbursement of $565 due to the fraudulent practices, misinformation, and refusal of service during their advertised business hours. I also hope the BBB will investigate and take action to prevent others from falling victim to this company. ******* , at no time did anyone communicate with you that we close at 1:30 we close at 1 pm on Sat and Sunday and have for the past 10 years so no miscommunication would be made . You called out office at 10:16 am and were given the total, location and time we close . We have the phone call of that . Your problem isnt with our communication its with whatever site are page you went too that gave you the wrong time . WE DIDNT . Yes we have an after hours gate fee only if someone is available its not required its a convenience . After all you did call at 10:16 am and were given all the info you needed .. we are very fair and consistent and document everything we tell someone so when false allegations as such arise we can stand ten toes down.

On 3/8/25 around 9:00 am in the morning went outside to see that my car was gone I live at *********************************** I call the police to let them know my car is gone . When they look up my Vin number they told me that someone in the office had my car tow this was done over the weekend they not in the office on the weekends why did they tell asset Towing come an tow my car .So I call them Monday that was the next business day to fine out what happened they had no answer saying they didn't do that I like that money back. I do not see the purpose of this complaint. You parked in a clearly marked spot for office staff only and due to the office staff at your complex having no answer you submit a complaint on us? We provide a service and we respond to directives from property personal.. Your vehicle was Parkedin a clearly marked spot and you being a resident should know your complex enforces that area as several have been towed from that spot.. I see no substance in this complaint . Wrongfully towed!! We had permission from the store managers to park in the parking space we were in at QT. Then every time we called to get information they gave us the run around, hung up on us, cussed us out, and never resolved or gave any information we needed. Now that we are at 29 days of 30 from truck being auctioned, the same lady is still the same. I am a nurse and I dont get but a 30 min lunch its 30 min to get there and they close at 6 I get off at 7:30 so she says well then your truck will be auctioned in the morning and hung up. Weve been asking to speak to the manager or owner for a month now trying to figure a way to get our truck out. Now its going to be $1400+ to get it out this place give you the run around manager nor owner is never available to help and the woman is always hateful and unhelpful. This place needs to be shut down and I should be able to pick my vehicle up tomorrow. This isnt right.Business Response

Wrongfully towed? Starting a complaint with false accusations is just the beginning of the storytelling .. Your vehicles was wrongfully abandoned on a gas stations lot.. We were called out to provide a service and we exceeded expectations .. As far as your timeline of events I have several issues , one you have off days and we are open 7 days a week so your schedule wasn't a issue.. Your entitlement was. You redeemed your from another tow yard and you left it at the gas station next to it. however your vehicle was there for a few weeks before they called us, and if it was of any concern you wouldnt have left it with us for 21 days before you even went back to realize it was no longer there. you all called us on the 21/25/27/28/ of feb also in march 3/1 3/1 again 3/3 twice, each and every time you were given the amount , location of vehicle and procedure of how to redeem is.. My staff never hung up on you and we don't hold auctions so those allegations are false. If the staff is given you everything you need why would you need to speak to a manager? its simple bring the documents pay and redeem your vehicle . When you vehicle was at the tow yard next to the qt did you have to speak to a manager? Unfortunatelyt this complaint is so far from the reality of the situation . First I wanna insert that it isn't your car nor is it registered in your name .. The car in mention was removed at the request of the property . You and your party noticed the car missing and were able to contact us by signage on the property in which my staff answered and answered all you questions. You then came to the office and was given the same info and you also called the police and was given the same info. So my question is what are you not understanding? When are you being hung up on? You have all the info you need and will get at this point the registered vehicle owner which would need to come get their vehicle out.. We have nothing further to discuss .. This business is as shady as it comes. They illegally towed my car from my apartment complex (on Labor Day). The spot they towed was a spot I paid for. The complainant was given a receipt with a breakdown of the charges. The property where she parked at has 8 signs also with a breakdown of charges.. The sign stated in bold lettering that any additional equipment would be extra. The complainant vehicle was a 4wd vehicle ( all wheel drive ) which required either the key are dollies , We did a private property tow so we don't have keys. 5/12/2025 $610 I'm a hospice nurse from **. God knows this was the worse experience in my life while traveling. They towed my rental car from a Airbnb downtown. I just walked out and found that my car was gone. I called the police who told me it was picked up by these low down dirty extortionist. They had my car 12h and they wanted $610. Even when I was willing to pay, they wouldn't give it to me unless ***** send them the title to the car, which hertz flat out wouldn't do. Their real address is ********************************************** Something they try hard to keep secret. It will cost you $35 with Uber to get there. We can keep going back and forth with this on every platform and the outcome will be the same. Twisting the story to seek favor dent fly without documentation to back it up. We never asked ***** for a title . when you contacted ***** you contacted their roadside and they contacted us we informed them like we informed you only hertz corporate can redeem their vehicles unless they send over on official letterhead that the renter can redeem. Roadsides said they are not authorized to send over a statement allowing you to pick up the car on letterhead. It wasn't a title it was a release Authorizaion . Your statement sounds far left please do not waste anymore of our time are your time. You parked in the wrong spot, Your vehicle was towed , no one at anytime was rude to you, you simply wanted things to go the way you wanted them to but they didn't . There will be no need to contact you as we talked to you several times while you were here. You didn't call the police because we wouldn't release property you called police after you came into our office demanding your car you rented. After we told you again repeatedly that only ***** can redeem it then you stated you would call the police if we didn't release it to you and we instructed you to go ahead and call the police and guess what you still couldnt get the car because you do not own it. They say they needed the title from Hertz. ***** rejected this because of the horrible record of this business. I did have to get law enforcement on them just to get my things out of the vehicle. ***** office staff has a long history on multiple platforms of being rude and hostile. Think about your fabricated story, If ***** wanted you to have the vehicle and we needed the title then why wouldnt they give us the title to get the vehicle back? BECAUSE YOUR STORY IS FALSE. You never talked to hertz corporate you talked to hertz roadside and they couldn't help you.. We have you on video coming into our office demanding your rental vehicle not property . We have a long history of people who are mad their car got towed for doing things they shouldn't have done. And once they realize there's a tax for being wrong they wanna blame us but not one time can someone show the level of rude they claim however each and every time I can prove the level of rude they were. I don't talk thru sites and reviews I show videos and recordings anytime you would like to go and prove your story I welcome it because we are well invested in our documentation for reasons such as this that would prove you are not being honest about what occurred. At the end of the day you parked illegally , your vehicle was towed, Your ignorance to the procedures and laws of Missouri is no excuse to continue to blast and defame our character . *******, it is people like you that spread false and misinformation about us and the process .. we do not tow cars illegally the only illegal thing that happened is you parked illegally and or broke a parking rule at wherever you where towed from. Not having more info as to what kind of car and such theres not much detail I can get into. However in order for a vehicle to be towed we have to be called out . If you have an issue as to why you were towed then you would need to contact the property you were towed from . Secondly if you are not the registered vehicle owner you cant retrieve the vehicle only the rental car company can we release to rental companies weekly so your accusations of not releasing to a rental company is simply false . Rental car companies have a process into how they retrieve rental cars it always does take them a few days to pick one up if you have a problem with the time they are taking then you need to direct your energy towards them so the car isnt just sitting accruing storage . No one is getting the runaround its simple once they come into get vehicle they will. I do understand it can be frustrating but they have a chain of command they follow and protocols are in place so if we have their car they will come get it when they do. We provide a service its simple we dont make the rules we just follow and enforce them . Take care .

Unfortunately without details this can only be a generic response. I will say all vehicles are towed with consent from the property owner , manager and or security or lessee. The car was not in the way of moving vehicles because it was stopped, I want to know why the tow company didn't ask 4 24hrs before towing someone's vehicle, I may even decided to try and get it fixed or had advice to. I'm not understanding the situation
