We had a sewer back up in our basement with extensive damage/loss, our insurance company sent **** Davis. There are 3 parts to this project mitigation, personal property and restoration. In our initial phase with personal property, ***** came out to assess our property. He became visibly irritated & short because of the scope of the project leaving abruptly & angrily. Communication became a major issue at this point. We were told by our insurance company that all our belongings would be sorted into salvagable/unsalvagable and the salvagable items would be packed, inventoried and moved to an off-site climate controlled storage unit. This is when they began trying to cut corners. They didn't want to move it off-site. They wanted to just shuffle it around the basement as reconstruction occurred. Our insurance company got involved and insisted on what they paid for. When our insurance company got involved, **** Davis became e toward us. At least 3 times they would be scheduled to come out, one of us would take off work, then they would no show and not call. Our property was never inventoried. We were told that when things needed to be thrown out that everything would be run by us first. However, when our property was returned items were missing, damaged items were returned, what was submitted to insurance for reimbursement was incorrect/incomplete. We had many missing items that are just a loss to us. The worst part was our children's keepsakes that were stored in waterproof totes were thrown out without permission for no reason. These were irreplaceable items. Reconstruction work was terrible. They installed baseboard and ran out so just left a 5ft area without. They installed the new vanity improperly & water leaked inside of it for 3 days & ruined it. They abandoned the trash...old vanity, toilet, etc. Telling us that they were too busy to get pick it up. This took longer than it should, was not done well or completely & cost us $$$ out of pocket.

We contacted this office, which is now in ***********, **. They came out on 9/5 for initial survey for a couple moldy spots on basement ceiling. Seemed surprised that we wanted an estimate before work started, but indicated they could have estimate by next day. (This was a private pay job, not insurance.) They charged us $250 for the initial survey, with the understanding that it would be deducted off of the cost of the job if we had them do the work, which was our plan. I called on 9/6- estimate not ready. I called again on 9/7- estimate still not ready, but she promised to get it to the estimator and call me back before the end of the day. No call back. On 9/13- I called again and informed the person who answered that this was the 3rd time I had called to check on the estimate. She said she would contact the estimator and have her call me back "right away." No call back was ever received. We won't do business with these people. If they can't return calls when they say they will, how do we know they will actually do the job the way it's suppose to be done and in a timely manner? We're out $250, but we're cutting our losses on this one.
