Review: Poor Communication and Questionable Practices ********, ** Location I recently took my vehicle into ************, ** location to purchase a new tire and get an alignment. I was told ** receive a call when the car was ready that call never came. I had to follow up myself. When I picked up the car near closing time, I paid for the services and left, only to discover that the steering wheel was still sitting at the 10 oclock position a clear sign the alignment hadnt been done. When I brought the car back in, I was told it still needed an alignment. I reminded them that this was supposed to have been completed the day before. The staff seemed flustered and then claimed the alignment machine was out of calibration something they supposedly only realized when they put my car on the machine that morning. However, I observed them performing an alignment on another vehicle earlier that same morning and was told there was a vehicle ahead of mine. So either they were using faulty equipment knowingly, or they werent being truthful. Either way, this is unacceptable.

I took my car in to have a failing ** and rough idle looked at and signed for a $170 diagnostic test. After 8 hours of hearing nothing from the shop, I called and asked them what they had found. They said the ** needed a new sensor module - quoted me $50+ dollars plus one hour of labor - and then gave me a total bill of +$1,900 for a misfiring cylinder. I told them just do the ** sensor. Three hours go by. I have someone drop me off at the shop where my car is still in the garage with the hood popped. I tell someone upfront I'm here to pick up that car. A mechanic comes back and says they installed the sensor but it's not working, if I have time they will run more tests. I say no thanks, I'll take it somewhere else. The first guy comes back, punches some stuff in on the computer and says "it's ready for your card." No mention of cost, what they did, etc. I ask what I'm paying for. He says "$475." Nope, not happening, I tell him, you guys didn't do anything. His manager comes up, says the same thing, $475. I ask why I'm paying $475 if they didn't fix it. He says they did fix it. "Why did your mechanic tell me it's not fixed?" "We need to run more tests. I can pull our phone records (?)" I tell him to pull the phone records, we never discussed more tests over the phone, I just said to fix the **, and if it needs more tests, why are you saying it's fixed. He drops back to just asking for $475. I tell him it's not happening and I want my car keys back. I'm not giving you $500 for doing nothing, I tell him. "It's not $500, it's $475." That was the end of the discussion. Eventually he acts like he doing me a favor by taking it down to $398. I contacted corporate by email and phone and they've done nothing nor have they responded. Do not do business with these thieves.

I took my truck to Dobbs tire and auto for a front end alignment and they told me i needed a control arm because the bushings were wore and cracked it just passed an inspection. so after getting the control arm upper and lower ball joints 2 tires and a steering gear box and the truck was still not able to drive down the road. They then told me it was something to do with the spacers at he wheel hub and tire. Ive had this truck for 6 years and never had a problem with the spacers so i told them to get my vehicle ready for pick up and I took it to ****************** auto repair in ****** and they were able to fix my vehicle. Dobbs charged me for parts I did not need and labor and never fixed the truck

I took my car to Dobbs for an oil change. A few months later I had an oil leak they had stripped my oil cap. I called explained they said bring my vehicle for them to check at 2:00pm the following Friday. I arrived at 1:55pm and did not leave until 3:30pm for them to tell me my oil leak is because my car has ******* miles. I did not have the leak before I took my car to Dobbs there were no recommendations noted on my service that day that I had an oil leak or any other issue with my car. The manager **** came to me with a very condescending tone that my oil leak was due to the miles on my car which has no correlation. Then had the audacity to give me a quote of ****** to fix the problem they created. I do not recommend this Dobbs I feel they could have given me some compensation to repair my vehicle.

I went to Dobbs on mid rivers for an alignment. They decided I needed the undercarriage of my car rearranged and new struts put on. I dropped it off on a Saturday at 9am. They didnt even touch my car until around 3:30-4:00. Then they told me it would be done by 12pm on Tuesday. I called at 12 on Tuesday and it still wasnt done. I went back 2 other times telling them my car still wasnt right. They decided to do another alignment and balance my tires. It made me balance even worst. So I once again had them fix it. My car still wasnt right so I dealt with **** (who is over mid rivers and ******************* he looked at my car and test drove it and realized they put bad struts on my car. They put the new struts on for free (as they should!) The struts were also rubbing something to make a noise, so they claim they fixed that as well. Then I call him AGAIN saying my car still isnt right and ever since they put new struts on, there is a new noise. Now theyre stating my brakes are messed up and want another ***** to fix an issue I never had until THEY WORKED ON IT. I explained this to mark and he even test drove it before the new struts were put on and realized this sound WASNT there.. that should clarify that IT WASNT LIKE THIS UNTIL THEY GOT A HOLD OF IT. Now Im thousands of dollars deep in Dobbs and they want another $1125 to fix an issue they made.

I got two tires from this center last week and had a pretty good experience so I sent my son to get two tires today. His tires were suspiciously expensive but the kicker is they sold him an overpriced alignment he didn't need to the tune of $175. He's had the car for a month and it's a certified pre-owned. He didn't need an alignment and they shouldn't cost $175. I've bought 14 tires from Dobbs in the last 3 years but I'll WALK before I buy another. Short term ******* to lose a life long customer.

12-27-2023 -This will be the last time I deal with Dobbs ************ Took my car there today for service because of their fixed forever warranty. (5 year/50,000 miles warrenty)-So after I get there maybe 30 mins after sitting the guys come out and tell me that they won't be able to fix or replace my catalytic converter after spending $1600.00 dollars on defective parts. Last week while I was there the *************** said it wasn't going to be a ************ would even have the new parts ordered. Then proceed to set me for an appointment today. Different guy there this morning.(Imagine that.)-But they already knew I was coming and prepared themselves for not fixing my car. Seems as though they just into ripping people off now. I call the corporate office & this ********************* seems to be in agreement with the other guys @ the ********* ******** location. Oddly enough I'm not going to let this slide cause they starting to f*** over lots of people & that's not cool. Just like at there Brentwood location I paid for a wheel alignment for my other car that I found out that was never done. So moving forward- I will be filing a complaint & also contacting every single news channel about my experience. Damn!!! I guess it's about the all mighty dollar. I can't say this is a race thing cause everybody that's dealing with Dobbs now will be ****** with no Vaseline so deal with them at your own risk. Tired of the ************* time being wasted.

Went to the location in *******. Thought I might need shocks. I called in the afternoon - they got me in the next morning. They determined that I only needed a wheel alignment and didn't stick it to me for parts and services I didn't need. Literally saved me over $1000. Wow.
