My husband had problems with his brakes. We took the car and they fixed it . As soon as he started driving car he noticed that his car is shaking. We took it back and ask them to check it , they call back saying he needs new front brakes and rotors. We told them not to do it . By the way they worked on his back brakes , they replaced some stuff and we paid 920$. We took car to different mechanic and when they checked it they found broken and damaged brake drum installed on his back wheel, they replaced it and gave it to ** . There is a whole chunk missing on that drum. I went back and asked them about it and they told me they didnt put that in . They refunded money for it but they didnt install it in his car . Just to let people know what they do . They told me that car parts dont have serial numbers so now I wonder where do they BUY car parts . We will never go back there EVER

i took my vw touareg in for an oil change. i have used dobbs for this and other services/repairs in the past.
in the process of the oil change they broke a radiator hose. the part was not readily available. dobbs could not find a rental car for me, which they agreed to pay for. i spent four hours at dobbs waiting for a solution. i had to go get a rental next day on my own credit card. which is fine i guess.
dobbs did get the part and make repairs the next week. when i returned to pick up my car i was charged the full price for the oil change. frankly, no consideration was given to my inconvenience or time on the day of original service, or for the week i was without my car. i did receive a check for the rental amount.
bad business as far as i am concerned. likely gonna try ********* next time.

We took our car in recently to address an error code. The shop manager argued over the error code, and in the end, they charged us $100 plus for a "system diagnosis" and services which did not address the issue at all. We are extremely disappointed as we have been taking our cars here for years, but we can no longer continue to pay for unsatisfactory service.

Would give 1/2 star if possible. Took **** Civic w only ****** miles to Dobbs in ***************, ** ** check engine light was on. They couldn't find anything wrong w the car and couldn't get the *** to come on. As soon as we picked the car up after paying their $125 diagnostic fee, the *** came on right away. Took car back immediately (drove once around the block). Now suddenly Dobbs said that the head gasket needed to be replaced at a cost of over $1900. Towed car to nearby ***** dealership for another look and they stated there was nothing at all wrong with the head gasket and only a few regular maintenance items needed to be done. Dobbs tried charging over $1900 for something that didn't even need to be done! Plus they didn't find the maintenance items that actually needed to be done. Buyer beware! They'll overcharge and find things to fix that don't even need to be done.

Last month went in due to check engine light. Was told I needed a new catylic convertor even though they replaced it two years prior. The cost was $500 more than last time. Told me prices really went up. Go to pick up vehicle, found out they were looking at the wrong paperwork and actually replaced the Exhaust Manifold instead which was $1,580. Which means I agreed to a repair I didn't know was happening. A month later, light comes back on, and turns out to actually be the Catylic Convertor this time. Very shady business. I would not send my worst enemy there. I don't know how they get away with doing this. They were also short tempered with me on the phone.

To Whom It May ************* Manager made contact with customer to explain convertor and manifold are one assembly. They had a good conversation with explanation and understanding. The engine light was on he was invited back into the store. Customer is scheduled to visit April 11.

Dobbs has a **********, ******** location that continues to provide affordable, fast, friendly, and professional service. I am absolutely satisfied with the professionalism of the staff and the welcoming environment. Dobbs offers an extremely beneficial forever warranty on many parts and services!

Just a Heads Up about Dobbs. February of 22 I took my 09 for tires and safety inspiration required to renew my plates. They said rear brakes and rotors need to be replaced. Took the car to my ********** for the brake job. They said the brakes show some wear but are within specs and don't need to be replaced. Fast forward to February 23. Plates and inspection due again and the rear brakes are still are within specs and don't need to be replaced. I love driving Vette and put over **** miles on it last year. I wouldn't trust Dobbs to change the oil in my lawn mower.

I scheduled an appointment to bring my *** at DOBBS off howdershel road in ********** because the heater wasnt working, and decided to also get a oil change while I was there. When I arrived, they said there is a diagnostic fee of $124.95 They explained that they would give me a call. However, I received no calls. I return at 4:30pm only to see them just changing my oil. I inquired about what is going on with my heat, and they told me that they couldnt determine the issue and wanted to charged me the diagnostic fee for god knows why. I told them that I wasnt going to pay for a work that they didnt, or as they say the couldnt complete because of the tool. They decide to charge half a price, but thats bull. Please tell me why DOBBS would accept to perform a function that they are e capable of doing. Now I have to leave to go to another maintenance shop and pay another diagnostics fee. This is bad service, I will never ever asked DOBBS to do any maintenance work for me. I recommended people stay far. Bad business ethics. This is crazy. If the company doesnt have the mechanics and tools to perform a job. They shouldnt accept the work.

They are fine with routine, easy stuff, but won't honor their "fixed forever" warranty. I brought them a check engine light, and when the light came back on a month later with the same problem, they said I (the customer) told them (the mechanic) what to do the first time, so it wasn't a warranty issue. Kind of mind boggling, especially since they cleared the check engine light so it would pass inspection. After a slight discount on the correct repair at a different Dobbs, after spending 1.5 hours on the phone, I'm still out about $150. Contemplating whether or not that's worthy of opening a case.

Socially challenged and to embedded in social politics they tend not to function well as good service provider.
