      Warning, banked w/ UMB for 30+ years. I got scammed in my checking account and immediately went to the local branch, explained what happened...they TOLD me not to worry. 7 days later their CORPORATE OFFICE accused ME of trying to commit fraud on them!! I was the victim, not them. They closed my account without telling me, and then told me to take my business elsewhere. I'm a single old 64 year old grandma. Pathetic customer service. They get 1 star because the local branch did try to help me....their CORPORATE office is a completely different story. CONSUMER WARNING: BANK WITH UMB AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

      This used to be such a fantastic bank, until they were taken over/bought out last year. While the folks who work at the bank are still wonderful, the bank itself is a disaster.TRY getting a human on the phone, I dare you.There are now fees on accounts that did not have fees before.The interest rates they pay on savings are pathetic.But here's the worst... They cancelled my NMBT credit card with ZERO COMMUNICATION about it! No, I am not late with payments, nor am I even close to my credit limit. I have spent hours on the phone and still, NOT ONE PERSON can tell me WHY my card is cancelled. They just keep transferring me to another person in ***** who is the same tier of customer service as the previous person... going NO WHERE and NO HELP.WHAT IS GOING ON OVER THERE???

      The stupidest bank ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I have a pending transaction that i know nothing about. but they somehow cant deny until it actually gets withdrawn from my account in 3 freaking days. But they can **** sure lock the card so it cant be used. FUNNY HOW THEIR COMPUTERS ONLY SEEM TO WORK ONE WAY. It is on my companions card and he is now traveling without any money because of their F@&#%^$%G ignorant I. T. cant seem to program the computers work right. I WILL BE LOOKING INTO OTHER Banks for future banking needs. They get 1 star because it won't let me leave 0 stars cause thats truly how I feel right now. They aren't worth 1 cent.

      I would give UMB zero stars if I could. Horrible credit card. I had impeccable credit and never paid late in my life. Unfortunately, in July and August of last year, I was a victim of identity theft and bank fraud. My bank assets were frozen immediately to prevent further revenue loss in my bank account and for an investigation. I notified UMB via phone and in writing (with tracked receipt) of the situation and the need to make payment arrangements, as well as a late payment to my UMB credit card due to my bank account and my money being frozen by my credit union for an investigation. However, UMB still marked me late on my credit report, dropping my credit score immensely. I have contacted UMB numerous times to dispute this and request the removal of this marking, and they refuse to do so.

      The most unprofessional unethical establishment Ive ever encountered. They have no sense of business or ethical practice. They should not be in business or operating as a bank. Very disturbing and unethical business in every sense.

      I have an HSA which my previous company has used UMB. I've elected to invest proceeds and i haven't touched the account. Now they are saying in order to get access i need to apply for new cards, then go out and spend money on those cards before i'm allowed to access my accounts. how is it possible to make people spend money on their savings accounts before they have access to them?
      would encourage any company to not use their services. i've been on the line for over 45 minutes waiting to speak to someone to get this new card (much less the week or two it will take to mail a card) before i can access my own account.

      This bank after 20 years has declined in service and in policies!! I will be no longer be banking with you!!! I was not only given the run around twice on November 28th at 3 and 4:30pm. But already upset because the bank decided after 20 years of banking with them to hold my check for 3 days (and all weekend). Wouldn't you be mad? I'm so mad I'm taking both my small business and my personal account out of NMBT!! Happy Holidays!! ??

      I was transfered to 4 DIFFERENT customer service departments, all of which who said "not my problem" and when I got to the last guy, I couldn't understand 75% of what he said, except that he wouldn't help me if I didn't sit through some time share style presentation of an offer. I said I was not interested and had spent an hour trying to get help and he said he wouldn't help me if I didn't listen to his offer. So we have a bank holding money hostage and they refuse to provide assistance unless I sit through a sales pitch. I am SURE this is not legal.

      Don't out your money in this bank!!! They will allow fraud in its customers account!!! It happened to my uncle who banked with this institution for over 40 years. Senior citizens money is not safe!!!! They have a bunch of thieves that work for this bank!!! I pray God shuts this banks doors forever after they are exposed!!! If you live in ****** or ******** don't put your money in this bank you have been warned!!!
