      Do not subscribe to the KC Star. I am a long-term subscriber (over 10 years) and in 2021-2022 their customer service and product delivery plummeted. When my papers were not delivered for 11 days, and later were not delivered for several weeks, they did nothing to resolve my reports of missing papers and refused to refund the amount I paid for them, They have continued to send me invoices despite my call with a customer service rep to cancel my subscription. In my experience, KC Stars billing practices are non-transparent and nefarious. In ************************************* service I paid for.

      I paid for a year-service with a special they were running. The year service included access to their digital service and the Sunday paper, the actual, physical version, for one year. I never received a Sunday paper. I called customer service 5 times and was told each time that the problem would be resolved. I never received a Sunday paper for the entire year. I declined to extend my service when the year was up and just got a bill from a collections agency that I alleges that I now owe the Star. Incredible,

      The service was good until it expired. We kept getting papers even after I asked them to cancel. they said it was in the contract to continue to deliver unwanted papers. they kept sending me bills threatening to send me to collections. I spoke to them verbally and in writing until it finally got resolved yet they continued to try to make a deal while holding the unpaid bill over my head. Borders on being a scam.

      I paid for a short term subscription at the end of July - I was to receive the Wednesday and Sunday newspaper. Ive never received a newspaper. I cancelled my subscription (what a joke, I never got a paper) yet I continue to get bills. Why would I pay any additional money for a product I never received? I have phoned them, emailed them, no help has been given at all. I called their customer service number at 4:10 pm today (Monday). They were already closed. Horrible horrible customer service. I would hate to see the KCStar close down, but they deserve it.

      Past June KC Star had a rep in Hy-Vee on St ***** and ***************. I gave the rep $35.00 cash to get Sunday and Wednesday paper thru the end of Aug 2022. Received a couple of issues then no more. I kept calling in for credit for no delivery. They said they could not keep a driver in my area so in August I asked for a refund which was they said $32.52. I waited until The end of August and was told they put the refund back on my credit card. I never gave them a card number which meant the rep in the store used his credit card so they gave him my money back. I call every week and they say the refund is in for approval but yet no refund. Its not right that they get by with this! CT

      Accounting practices are none to be desired. Their statements don't meet with your records. I pay my bill every month, then out of the blue my account is delinquent with charges not notified of. When asked about the charges they say it is a charge dating back several months. I did not receive notification in the form of an e-mail, statement of phone call regarding increases, and now I owe them again. I told the girl to cancel my service and not to try sugar coating a deal with more offers of false accounting methods. As of Sept 07, 2022 I'm done with them. Our delivery was for two days per week, Wednesday and Sunday. The grocery store price for a paper on Wed was ****, and for Sun it was ****. That's ***** per month by going to the grocers supply of papers for that day. Someone needs to file a complaint with the ************************* This has to stop. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

      The Kansas City Star digital edition was never accessible even after tech support email I attempted to cancel and this did not occur They will not reimburse. do not subscribe to digital version even if you would like to support local media even if it isnt owned locally they will say youve been canceled and you are nots

      I have been a loyal customer for many years. The writing and reporting is fabulous. However I have not received a paper in months. It took me months to get a refund and now I have an Outstanding balance and just received a call from a collections agency. I have over an 800 credit score. I would not not subscribe to them if the gave it to me for 5cents. The billing and delivery is ruining a reputable paper. So sad there is such a breakdown
