      I contracted with Sunrise Tours for a tour to the maritime region of ******. On July 19, 2023, along with 8 St. ********************, I arrived at the airport to begin with a flight on Air Canada to *******, *********** for an 8 day tour. They delayed over and over until they sent us all home to return to the airport on July 20. We followed those directions even though we have now missed the first day of the trip. Once again Air Canada delayed repeatedly. So having missed 2 days out of the 8 day trip all 8 of gave up. Upon trying to get a refund over the following 6 months, we were told to be patient to see what the airline would do. Air Canada finally sent each of us $1319.37. We were now told to file our claim with Travel Guard since we had bought travel insurance. Travel Guard finally sent $750. So Ive recouped $2089.37 of the $3733 I spent and Sunrise Tours says that is all we get.I acted in good faith. I was willing to go ahead and take an abbreviated tour until I would have missed 25% of the 8 days. Now I want my whole refund. Why should I be out about $1700?

      This complaint is against Sunrise Tours.  We just came back from the peninsula grand hotel. In the catalogue it states "experience the perfect Michigan upper peninsula tour
      lakeview lodging at the great lakes." That's in the brochure
      but when we got there there was no room ready for us.  We booked the rooms a year ago after and
      our tour guide could not get any answer as to why our room was not ready.  After an hour we finally got our room
      We were extremely disappointed
      the room was small especially the bathroom. Only one person could fit in it and the room overall was small and had only one night stand and the TV didnt work.  The dresser was small and there were no tables for us to unpack.    was 45 minutes later when This delay in getting the room delayed us so that we missed one our scheduled events. On top of that the "breathtaking" view described in the brochure was a view of a dirty rooftop of some building.   

      The assistant manager told us the room was not available
      was because they had given the room to someone else because they got there before us and were not pleased with the room we ended up getting. He did apologize and asked what he could do for us. We told him a refund for the 2 nights
      I have not heard form Sunrise at all. We want what we paid for.

      I am sorry the guests feel this way.  I am afraid they mistook the description of our visit to the Grand Hotel, but I understand how they came to that misunderstanding and we will try to be more clear in the future.  Lakefront lodging means the property features views of the lake.  The Main Dining Room, Cupola, front porch, and many guest rooms of the Grand Hotel feature lake views.  However, not all rooms feature lake views and when booking "run of the house", guest rooms lake views are subject to assignment by Grand Hotel management.  I will be in touch directly with the client directly; using the BBB as an intermediary was not necessary or helpful.
