      I purchased a living room set, washer/dryer and mattress from rent one. As well as a dining room table. I was unfortunately unable to pay for them after losing my job due to covid. A few months later I purchased a couch from them. I had asked them the first time to make my payments below 350. Every month I would pay my payments were 500+ the second time around the payments were more. The couch was 15.99 a week and I was getting charged 100 or more. The stores gm and employees would call and harass me not only while at work but also at home. At times I would get 3-4 calls a day. The times I could pay they would try and get more money than was owed out of me. Due to their consistent calls I was terminated from my job. With all the stress caused I seek only a apology and a refund

      I reviewed *** ***** account history and discussed his account in detail with the store manager. I wasn't able to find any irregularities with the account or any excessive attempts to reach *** *****. *** ***** has opted to return the merchandise, and the account has been closed, it was 16 days past due when closed. I do apologize to *** ***** if we weren't able to meet his needs at this time.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      While I do appreciate your response.  I have discovered that during the time of renting the merchandise rent one took money from my bank account when I didn't have funds. Second I was forced to give up the merchandise.  As you can tell in August of 21 without my knowledge the employees at rent one did put my bank account in the negative. Because of this our account was put in the negative and closed. I'm asking for a refund because of the stress and the loss of employment caused by the employees who work at that location.  I hope to have this resolved in a timely matter. If not I will then pursue any legal options. I thank you for your time and consideration

      I have reviewed the payment history for *** *****, the payments made in August 2021 were processed as an online payment by *** ***** for active accounts at the time of payment. Rent One does not withdraw money without the clients knowledge and consent. I have attached the payment record for the accounts in question. Unfortunately, the account that was closed on 8-15-2022 was 17 days past dues when closed, *** ***** agreed to pay on or before the scheduled due date which he failed to do. We will not be offering any type of refund at this time.

      I ordered a brand new ****** washer and dryer set from rent one.com to be delivered to me. After calling rent one to set up a time to bring me he washer and dryer they said they didn't get the ****** set off the truck but they had a whirl pool set that was the exact same, so I accepted that one instead. After a few months I had them come get the set to be worked on because they weren't working right. While I had a temporary set I paid the original set off. I had been calling them to check on my set but they said they didn't know how long it would take to be fixed. Then after months went by they told me that they lost my original set and had no idea what happened to it. When I went to the rent one store to settle this issue there was a new manager who said that he had to fix a lot of problems and that I was at the top of the list and that they sold the washer and dryer to two different people. They said that they couldn't get the set I had because it was limited edition and the grey color I had is too expensive so, they will not under any circumstances upgrade me or give me my money back. They said I would have to accept the ******* brand that they had. I had a dark grey whirl pool washer and dryer set that I paid $44 a week and, paid extra for renters insurance, for 2 years $4800. If I can't have the washer and dryer set that i picked out online that was brand new then I should be able to have my money back. I did everything I was supposed to do on my side and I am unhappy with he services I received please help.

      To Whom it may concern,

      I have reviewed *** ******'s statement regarding her washer and dryer. *** ****** agreed to rent to own a new ********** washer and dryer model ********* washer, and ********* dryer as a replacement to the set she ordered online as we did not have a new one in stock at the time, and they had been recently discontinued. I have attached the signed rental agreement for review. The store manager and regional manager have discussed an alternative set with *** ****** however they were not able to agree on an alternative or were unable to reach *** ****** to discuss it.  We have provided *** ****** with the items listed on the signed rental agreement and she had the washer and dryer for the entire term of the agreement therefore we do not feel a refund is warranted.  We would be happy to discuss an alternative solution to resolving *** ******’s complaint.
