    Have been dealing with office for months to repair wife's implants. In 2 years, 5 teeth have fallen out. The bottom plate has snapped in two TWICE. Been trying to get in for weeks, wont return phone calls. Went in person today to try and work things out. Was told wife had beef DISMISSED as a patient, because she left a voice-mail threatening legal action if not responded to. Then they sent the police to my house to threaten ne with trespassing. Have called corporate office several times, no relief! We paid these folks $14,000 and were told that the three year warranty would take care of any issues. All lies! They refuse to honor their warranty. *****, the office manager has outright lied to my wife. Dr. ****** saw my wife's gums and did nothing to fix the issue. We're out this money pending litigation. BE WARNED!!! THESE ARE UNETHICAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL HACKS THAT SHOULD HAVE THIER LICENSE REVOKED!

    Dear Better Business Bureau, 

    Thank you for allowing us to summarize this dispute. The office received the letter on October 18, 2023.

    Please let me start by stating that ******* ******* is not a patient in this practice, and has never accompanied the actual patient, ******* ******* to any appointments in this practice.  ******* ******* was initially a patient at the Affordable Dentures office in St. Louis.  She had all of her teeth removed, implants placed and temporary dentures placed at that office by Dr. ****** in 2021.

    In that same year, ******* decided that she was not happy with the treatment she received in the St Louis location, and asked to transfer to the St. Charles practice. At that time Dr. **** ***** was the practice owner. I have provided the documentation "ledger 2" to show what Mrs. ******* actually paid this Affordable practice for finalizing her work when Dr. ***** was here. $3,600 for the abutments, and the final dentures were written off. ******* has been in throughout the years for repairs and adjustments, in which all were honored and no charge to her under Dr. *****.

    Since I have taken ownership of this practice August 2022, I have seen ******* for 2 repairs, which the warranty covered entirely, and to have the nylons replaced in her dentures, which falls under standard routine maintenance and are not covered under any warranty, She paid without complaint and left peacefully. Please see document labelled Ledger 1.

    Days later I received an email from our corporate office that ******* was unhappy. When we reached out to ******* she stated that she wanted her dentures remade at no charge to her, that none of the Affordable practices can do good work and she would sue if not provided this immediately. We offered to provide ******* with a discounted new denture set, since she has been wearing this set for years there is a charge with a new set. This seems to be what has now set her and her husband off - they feel that they should have the dentures made at no charge and should actually be refunded all of the money that they paid to a different provider entirely.  In that time, both ******* and her husband have shown up at the office without an appointment and proceeded berate and intimidate the staff at this office. They threaten law suits, BBB and bad reviews if we do not give them what they wish. The last time that Mr. ******* was here, he became verbally aggressive with the front desk staff to the point that they felt threatened and called the authorities.  When the police arrived, they told Mr. ******* that he was not allowed to step foot in the office again or he would be arrested for trespassing, nor could picket outside the office or prevent other people from entering it. Our office does not tolerate bullying or boorish behavior; after this incidence, we dismissed ******* as a patient from this office.

    In response to their request for a refund, refunds are only provided 100 days after a denture delivery; as such, there is not any refund to provide for completed services. Additionally, I was not the recipient of the payment they made for her implant placement, and the cost of the dentures was written off by Dr *****.. 

    Thank you for trying get to the bottom of this unfortunate & scary matter.  My staff has endured a lot of stress because of this and will be happy to put it behind us.

    I purchased an Ultimate fit denture for $1550. I went in to do the fittings and with the final denture, there was no support in getting it to fit correctly. This has been the case for many of their patients as seen in many ****** reviews of the company. I simply want a refund for the product I did not get as I do not feel comfortable taking the product after it has been handled by the staff there. I fear it may be contaminated and do not feel safe in their establishment.

    Visited in June for replacement of a broken denture. Impressions were done, I paid over $900.00 as half payment as requested. Not one word from them since. I have called and all I got was,"We're on vacation" and today " We don't have any record of your denture replacement in our lab." Was told they would check with the office manager soon as she comes back to work. The office manager was not in today, Monday July 24, 2023. Terrible dental operation with thoughtless staff and management!

    I was told I would be provided a top-tiered set of dentures upper and lower. II was told by the dentist that I could try them out and then in 6 months down the road if I want I could add implants to the dentures that I bought since I bout the more expensive ones.
    I have gone in several times to get them fixed on the bottom. When I go in I am told my gums are sore and I will just have to try it for a while. The last time I was in there was the day they were going on Christmas break. I told the blonde assistant that the top ones were also falling down. she sent me home with the liner in my mouth without even taking it out and rinsing it. When I got home I was in tears because everyone I talked to could see my top teeth flopping up and down while I talked there was so much stuff on it. Of course, they were on holiday break and I could reach them. They have been back since the 3rd. I have left several messages for them with no response. I was told by there customer relations that the Dr and Office manager was going to meet with me.

    In mid 2021 I paid Affordable Dentures and Implants located in St. Charles Missouri $3,350 for three dental implants. Dental implants are surgically implanted into your facial bone. The implants hold your crowns in place. Affordable Dentures and Implants does not offer the service of installing the crowns, you must go to a different dentist to get that done.
    After my surgery at Affordable Dentures I have gone to two different dentists. Both of them said I need to immediately go back Affordable Dentures because one of the implants shouldn't have been done or it was done wrong. The one dentist literally said, "I have never seen anything like this before". He left the room and came back saying he made an appointment on my behalf for that very same day to go back to Affordable Dentures, That's how concerned he was.
    That same day the new dentist at Affordable Dentures stated a crown couldn't be put on that implant because it most likely will simply fall out of my head! That thing was surgically screwed into my face! As he was showing me the x-ray he said there isn't enough bone to have an implant there and suggested I have one installed further back were there is more bone. My obvious question was 'Well why was one installed there in the first place if there isn't enough bone?" He then left the room and came back with a phone number and a referral to another dentist and told me to leave! RUN! RUN! RUN! I hired and paid a business to do a job. They completely failed. It will now cost me almost $2,500 to have another dentist fix their mistakes. If you ever believe a review, believe this one. Run from this business. This is your health, your teeth, your body and they don't care.

    this instance, Mr ***** had been receiving treatment from Dr ***** starting in October of 2021.  His last visit with Dr ***** was in June of 2022, which was before I took over the practice.  Mr ***** was seen by me on 12/1/2022, at which time it was determined that the dental treatment that Dr ***** had performed was failing and would need additional treatment.  I should note that all I was able to determine at that time was that the treatment was failing, not the cause as to why; in cases like this, the treatment can fail for multiple reasons, one of which is negligence on the patient's part to maintain their oral health after the treatment was completed - as such, the issue of culpability is undefined.  I initially presented him with a plan to perform treatment at a resonable cost; Mr ***** rejected it, stating that he felt he should get it done at no cost to him.  At this point we informed Mr ***** that we would be referring him to a specialist for that treatment since he did not want to accept our presentation; upon being told this, he became upset and stated that he wanted a refund from our office.  I advised him that as I had not performed any of that treatment nor received any payment for it, he would need to speak with the dentist who provided said treatment for any type of refund.  Even after being told this, however, Mr ***** has persisted in trying to get me to reimburse him for the treatment for which I have no liability.  My office telephone number is ************ if you wish to contact me for further information on either of these cases.  Thank you very much - Dr ******* ******

    I am rejecting this response because:

    At NO time did I ask this dentist for a refund. At my last visit he told me the implant is no good and would not hold a crown. His suggestion was to add another implant further back with an additional cost of over $3,600! An Implant at their store (and yes, I'll call it a store, not a medical office) is advertised for only $1,000, not $3,600. 

    When I simply asked the question "Why was an implant put there in the first place?" he left the room and his assistant came back with a referral to a different dentist. His statement about me demanding a refund is a flat out lie. His statement about the implant failing because I don't take care of my teeth is a LIE. 

     

    I have been seeing a different dentist who has told me they will no longer take referrals from Affordable Dentures and Implants. They have also said they have multiple clients coming in with severe problems that directly result from Affordable Dentures and Implants. 

     

    The big problem I'm having is nobody can tell me what implant they put in my head. Yes, drilled into my head! Not only is it bad, they don't even know how to get it out because Affordable Dentures and Implants doesn't have the records of what they put it my HEAD!


    His statement about him not doing the procedure and that he just took over this office flat out doesn't matter. I didn't hire a dentist. I hired Affordable Dentures and Implants. 

     

    People, RUN, RUN, RUN from this place. It's an absolute clown show acting like they are a real dentist. 

     

    It looks like court is my only choice now. The bill to fix their mistake is going to cost me $2,200. That's all I'm going to ask for. I'm a very reasonable person.

    No, I do not have contact information or anything on Dr. *****. I didn't hire Dr. ***** to do dental surgery on me, I hired Affordable Dentures and Implants. Dr. ***** name isn't on the front of this business, and neither is the new dentist. If I hire a contractor to build a house and they do me wrong I don't take the carpenter to court, I take the business. If I go to ********* **** to have my Fusion worked on and they destroy my car, I don't take the mechanic to court either, I take ********* to court. Does that make sense???

    I went to Affordable Dentures looking for a quote on new dentures to replace my old ones. Was not given a price and felt like I was forced into a fitting without even gave a price. Dentures don't fit right and don't look right. I called and told them everything, and wanted my money back and was told no refunds. So now I have dentures I don't fell comfortable with and doesn't make me feel want to wear.

    As I understand it, the complaint in question was made by *******************, who is a patient of record at this office.  Without violating his personal health information under HIPAA standards, I cannot go into extensive detail to answer the complaint.  What I am at liberty to state is that *************** was seen at this office on 5 occasions between 10/7 & 11/7 of this year.  If *************** wishes to authorize the BBB to have access to said information, a written statement from him stating such will be added to the current authorizations we have on file, after which I can give more extensive detail and respond to the complaints he has made.  Without such permission, there is no way to go into any detail to reply, and the complaint becomes invalid as I am not legally allowed to respond.  The fax number at the office here is ************ if he wishes to send us an updated HIPAA form, at which time we will provide our detailed response.  The phone number here is ************ if you wish to call with any further questions.  Thank you.

    April 2022, I paid this company $1850.00 for replacement dentures. They do not fit right and the adjustments are not correcting the issue. The doctor and his staff has been very rude to me and will not refund my money. I would like them to take back the dentures and provide me a full refund.

    I paid for the dentures with a check and have included a copy of the check and receipt given to me by Affordable Dentures.  I did not file a claim for reimbursement from Medicare because I do not have any dental coverage.

    I attest that the dentures were paid for with my own money and there was no reimbursement received from any health plan.
