I received an invoice emailed me to me on Dec 26 at 9:55 AM. I responded via email on Dec 26 at 11:17 AM that the invoice was incorrect and why. On December 26th at 12:16pm, I received a receipt showing that my credit card had been charged for the invoice although I had not paid the invoice in their system nor was auto-pay turned on in their system; I had emailed them my credit card information for them to refund $99 on December 13th at 9:45pm, and they used that information (without my authorization) to charge their last disputed invoice. The email below is where they requested my credit card information and I'd advised we would not be paying for any further services, so I was unwilling to enter the information in their auto-pay system. On Friday, December 13, 2024 at 03:43:11 PM CST, Customer ********************** <******************************@**************************. com> wrote:*****, I want to apologize that you have not seen any relief for your yard with our mole program. I do show that we did not charge for services on this last visit where our field manager set traps for you. I would love to credit your account for December as I do show my manager did say she would not charge for services rendered however, we do not have any payment type on file to do so. If you could please either give us a call to put a card on file and we will get that credited for you, or you can always go through the portal to do so.Thank youBusiness Response

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:On December 13th at 3:43pm, ******** emailed, "I would love to credit your account for December as I do show my manager did say she would not charge for services rendered."
I had spoken to a manager and had in writing that services would NOT be charged for December. Since I was incredibly unhappy with their service because they had been using worms instead of physical traps which did not work, my understanding was that they were trying to provide good customer ********************** by fixing the problem that they previously hadn't fixed. I had already emailed to cancel service and they were aware that I was very unhappy with the service. There was no need to speak to anyone who came out about pricing or additional charges as I'd already spoken to management and had an email confirming there would be no charges in December. They DID charge in December after I'd specifically emailed them that was incorrect.
Sincerely,

Holpers pest and animal solutions was hired by my neighbor to get rid of their mole problem. The technician stops by weekly to set up and empty traps. My neighbor's mole problem has now become my mole problem, and I've never had that problem until recently. The mole traps are set up right behind my privacy fence, and the moles are tunneling under my fence and destroying my property. I don't think it's a coincidence, I think there's something going on here. I've seen my neighbor watering the traps, and that just makes the problem worse. It's not just in one area, it's all along the fence line. I spoke to the manager of Holpers to complain, told him that common sense tells me if they're trapping the moles, how are they getting in my yard. He was very brusk with me after I asked this question, expects me to hire them to remove what has now become my mole problem, and that's not going to happen. All of this is very suspect because I've had problems with these neighbors in the past. I suspect they're putting something in those traps because it seems the moles are being pushed into my yard and not being trapped at all. It's become a really bad problem for me. They made up some crazy story, but common sense says if they're being trapped, they wouldn't be coming into my yard and destroying my property. Is this the way they get new customers? Why would I hire them, obviously what they're doing for my neighbor isn't working. The technician came by today, and suddenly there's a new mole tunnel headed right for my property. Something is going on here that needs to be investigated. I tried to upload videos but couldn't. I have video evidence if necessary.
Thank youBusiness Response

Dear *******,
First of all, we are very sorry that you are having to deal with moles in your yard. We know how destruction they can be since we have over 300 customers who annually hire us to trap the moles on their property.
Moles are wild animals and we cannot control where they roam, nor are we able to steer them in any direction. They are blind animals that operate exclusively underground, spending their time searching for food, like grubs, worms, etc. We find them routinely along fence lines because this soil is not as compact and they can burrow their runs more easily.
We do suggest customers water the areas around the traps because when the soil is dry, the moles must go deeper to get their food and this makes it difficult for our traps to reach them. So, in order to bring them back up to the surface where our traps are set, we suggest our customers water those areas.
I can promise you that we do not put anything in the traps--there is no place to put anything--the trap is placed where the mole has created a tunnel and no bait is needed or required for trapping a mole. Moles move from yard to yard in most neighborhoods and we routinely have customers who's moles disappear for a few weeks or months and then reappear all of a sudden. It could be the same mole, it's offspring or a new mole--they are solitary animals so they like to find their own areas to roam.
As for the person you spoke with here at Holper's, he was at a loss on how to answer your question "how are the moles getting into your yard?", but we do apologize that you felt he was brusk. The only solution he could offer was to provide a trapping service as well. We hope that the mole(s) are caught soon and that they do not move into your yard However, we cannot control where they roam, we can only trap them in their current location.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Thank you!

The reason I'm rejecting their response is this:
Holpers has been working for my neighbors for awhile which means my neighbor has had a mole problem for awhile. The moles never came into my yard before, why now? Why has their mole problem suddenly gotten worse instead of better? Trapping them seemed to work before, what changed all of a sudden? Why isn't Holpers trying something else if the mole problem has gotten worse? Why hasn't my neighbor treated his lawn to help with his mole problem? Both Holpers and my neighbor know the moles are coming into my yard, they can see the tunnels and have done nothing to prevent that from happening. All of this has created suspicion and that's why I contacted the BBB. I'm not buying this nonsense about they can't control where the moles go....that's their job. Maybe place the traps somewhere else, add another treatment plan, but to disrespect my property and skate accountability doesn't work with me.

Hi there,
Good news, we have now caught two moles. One was caught on September 15, 2023 and another mole was caught today, September 25, 2023. We left the traps set just in case there is new activity coming from other yards that go into our customer's yard--as I stated before, moles are wildlife and no one can control where they roam--whether they hire someone or not. However, we find there are usually only 1 or 2 per area of activity, so hopefully this resolves your issue.
Thank you!

I did respond to their last statement. They wrote they had trapped two moles and I called B.S. on them. I recently purchased mole sonic spikes because there's more mole damage even after they said they trapped them. These people are dishonest; I've spent over $100 trying to get of the moles they're not trapping. I said in an earlier post I wanted to be reimbursed but got no response. I still feel the same way; there are still active moles coming into my yard causing damage.
