    Astrawatt installed solar panels on our house on 12/19/24. During the install, one of the employees stepped through the ceiling from our attic, leaving a large hole in the ceiling in one of our bedrooms. We were told that Astrawatt would hire a contractor to fix the damage, and that this would be done after the holidays. After Astrawatt continued looking at several contractors, it was clear Astrawatt was only looking for the cheapest quote, rather than contractors' qualifications.The first approved contractor (independent, unaffiliated with any company) did not show up. The next approved contractor (also independent) worked on the repair on January *****. The work was shoddy/unprofessional and actually caused additional damage that now needs to be fixed and the initial job needs to be re-done. The entire room now needs to be painted because they sprayed excessive texture, the drywall on the ceiling is cracked and flawed, the crown molding is scratched, and they scratched the wall paint on all sides of the room. Photos are attached.After seeing this work, we communicated to Astrawatt that this work was unacceptable and they agreed. We have been waiting for a new contractor to be approved. They have hardly communicated with us, and we have continued reaching out to them. The most recent email we have received from them is concerning (email attached). The way we have been treated by Astrawatt is insulting. We paid a lot of money to have the solar panels installed, only for Astrawatt to damage our home and not make us a priority. For us to pay $21,000 for solar panels but then have Astrawatt not be willing to spend a reasonable amount of money to fix their own mistake is ridiculous, as this should be a straightforward solution. Astrawatt needs to fix the damage they caused. We have been more than patient and understanding. At this point, in addition to the repairs, we also expect a partial refund to the $21,000 we paid for the solar panels.

    Astrawatt Solar is actively working with the customer to resolve this issue. We take the matter seriously and are covering the cost of a qualified contractor to repair the damage. Our goal is to ensure the customers home is properly restored and that they are satisfied with the resolution.

    I apologize for the late response. Our daughter has been sick and I forgot to respond yesterday. We are not willing to close the complaint at this time. A contractor has not come by to start work on the repair. We also need a response from Astrawatt regarding a credit.
