I keep receiving misleading mail from a company called "SureGuard USA" offering extended car warranty services. The letter uses urgent and official-looking language to pressure me into calling a number, even though I never requested this service. It appears deceptive and is not affiliated with my car manufacturer or dealer. I want this company to stop contacting me and to remove my information from their mailing list.Business Response

I received the letter and I think it was a scam. Let me clarify it was a scam because Ive never received an insurance quote or wanted to receive an insurance quote from ************* regarding a 2018 ****** 4Runner. I have gotten a couple of calls in regards to this And this needs to stop because I did not authorize for anyone to call me and I did not get any type of quote for this automobile which *** never owned.Business Response

I have received a notice in the mail for SureGuard U.S.A. stating final attempt to notify about coverage on a vehicle I do not own nor have never owned. I have never tried to purchase stated vehicle and have never requested information from this company. I was worried at first someone had committed fraud with my name, but after searching this company Ive never heard of online the first thing that popped up was the BBB reviews. I have been charged for 12 months for a service I didn't know I had and I had attempted to cancel over a year ago. The payments were made under the guise of "Auto Home Payment" which I assumed was for my standard auto/home insurance policy and not an additional warranty product. I never received any information in the mail, my email, or phone that indicated an active account. I feel as though I have been completely taken advantage of. Upon careful review, it appears as if you purchased a vehicle service contract for your 2021 ****** Camry on 11/17/2023. We have no record of any communication from you after that until 4/17/2025. At this time, you spoke with a member of our customer service team advising them that you totaled your vehicle and did not wish to transfer your policy to your new vehicle. You were advised to send in a letter of cancellation which was later received, your policy was successfully cancelled and you were added to our refund list. Your refund was issued yesterday and tracking information was provided to you directly. Unfortunately, it was never brought to our attention that you had a discrepancy with the coverage you elected to purchase or we would have definitely looked into this matter prior to your vehicle being totaled. We hope you will find this resolution satisfactory. As almost every other complaint states, this buisness uses scammy and annoying ads. I never even reached out to them to get insurance and they have sent me an ad letter with the penalty notice and final attempt. Not so kindly leave me alone. I will file be reporting this as a scamBusiness Response
