I am appalled at the service I received here. This establishment failed to provide charges upfront to their customers. I asked during the eye exam why these tests were being performed as I had stated multiple times on my paperwork that I see a local specialist; I was informed this was all part of the routine eye exam. Then they charged me $39.99 dollars for the additional tests. Not to mention they charges me $125 for contact fitting. The doctor walked in I informed him I had ***** dystrophy, showed him the current contacts I was wearing, and told him it was a hit or miss on quality. He suggested another contact, and I agreed to try it. That was $125.00?? for what? Then they told me progressive lenses were $450, and that was just with the wider view on the lenses, nothing else. I have routinely paid $250 for my progressive lenses (with every additional option I could get). I requested my eye prescription for glasses and contacts, and they wouldn't provide me with either. AND I JUST PAID FOR THIS! I would never recommend this establishment to ********* insurance was used for my visit so I can't visit another establishment for corrective ******* discouraged and disappointed.

I am so sorry that you did not have a wonderful experience at our practice. Our goal is to provide the best medical eye exam and the highest quality contact lenses and glasses in ********. In order for us to provide this level of products and services we have to stick to our standard of care and stand by our pricing. Below is an explanation of what we provide and the reason for the fees.1. Contact lenses are medical devices and we evaluate our contact lens wearers annually to determine whether their eyes are healthy enough and are able to wear contact lenses. The contact lens evaluation covers the fit and any additional visits that are necessary to achieve a good match for your eyes and lifestyle. It also includes the trial contact lenses which were provided.2. We run optomap imaging and iWellness screening to check for glaucoma and macular degeneration. We do this annually as part of a **********************. We charge the minimum copay suggested by vision insurances of $39. We did waive the fee for you since you were unaware of it.3. We really believe our patients benefit from having the best frame materials paired with the best lenses that will last longer than only a few months. Our top of the line progressives are $450 including lens material, AR coatings, and one of the widest corridors on the market. We also offer a comfort progressive for $275 for our more price conscious patients.4. Our staff is trained to dispense your glasses prescription at the end of your visit. Sometimes when we fit patients into a new brand of contact lenses we will put in a trial for the contact lenses instead of a prescription. Once the contact lenses are worn for a period and you confirm you like the comfort and vision we can authorize the trial into a contact lens prescription which we can then give to you. You have a right to your prescription and we are more than happy to provide it to you!
