Bought a Tahoe boat brand new in 2019. Boat broke down on me June 12th 2022 with 67 hours on it (which is still fairly unused). Dropped it off at the Tahoe dealership I bought it from (Cabela’s) for repair a week later on June 20th.
After 2 1/2 months and several calls from me for updates, they say they can’t fix it, and it has to go to a different Tahoe dealer for repair. This call was made in the 3rd week of August, (they did not tell me the actual day it was transported).
First week in September, I show up at new dealer to get update on repairs. Dealer says repair is difficult because boat was incorrectly built from factory, but they were working with Tahoe to come up with repair plan. This is 3 1/2 months after it broke.
For the last 2 weeks have been calling Tahoe and dealer for status updates. Dealer says they gave Tahoe all info needed, and this should be 100% warranty covered repair. Dealer said they have known Tahoe to give replacement boat in this case if correct repair cant be made. So they are waiting to hear back from Tahoe.
Every time I call Tahoe customer service, they say they submitted claim and are waiting to hear back from warranty dept. Last time I called was 9-23-22 and was told by my customer relations agent that they would get me a answer and call me back that day. I did not get a call back or a answer.
The boat hull was incorrectly built that caused the failure according to Tahoe mechanic. And that Hull is still under warranty. The hole in the boat transom (rear of hull) was cut too high for the inboard engine to fit correctly so they rammed it in causing motorcoupler to be under bind and fail prematurly. Tahoe mechanic walked me to my boat and showed me how Tahoe tried to make it fit after realizing it was cut too high.
My boat has been sitting in the weather at 2 different Tahoe dealerships since June 20th. It is now Sept 24th.

I bought a boat from them new in 2019. After initial engine break in, the engine blew up. Had to return for a new engine. Then, there was an issue where the engine would randomly shut off. It took them 7 months to diagnose the issue. Water was entering through the fuel cap into the gas tank. A design error. They Installed a vent relocation kit to eliminate the water from entering the gas tank again. In the last 3 months, I have noticed several new issues with the boat. Numerous welds and brackets were cracked. This caused the pontoon logs to take in water. The underpinning kit was installed incorrectly resulting in water being pushed up from the bottom of the boat causing my vinyl flooring to bubble up while under way. Other smaller issues as well. Bimini top straps broke. Tachometer does while trimming the engine. All 3 gates are sagging. I dropped the boat off a month ago for these most recent issues to be fixed. The dealer (bass pro ********, ga) reached out to white river asking how they’d like to proceed with repairs under warranty. 3 weeks ago they were notified that the issue would be escalated. I have had no update at all in 3 weeks. I called today and they still don’t know what they are going to do. While they take their time figuring out what they want to do, I am still making this boat payment. Add that to the other 7 months I made payment while they were diagnosing the water in the fuel issue and almost 25% of the payments I have made have been while it was in for repair due to no fault of my own. I feel like this boat may be a lemon or something.
