I went in to have a few chips repaired in my windshield. They ended up cracking my windshield, about a 6inch crack. They refused to take responsibility for damaging my windshield. They instructed me to contact my insurance and did nothing to make this right.

Thank you for allowing us to respond to ******************* complaint.  When **************** arrived for her appointment, she was told that there was a chance her windshield could "run" when pressure was applied, in the repair process, to the chip.  *************** signed our Windshield Repair Policy (attached) stating that she understood the process and agreed to have the work completed with that knowledge.  Unfortunately, her windshield did run and will now need to be replaced.  We will gladly apply the cost of the repair towards the cost of the new windshield, per our policy.  Installing a new windshield for free is not an option.  Please let us know if she would like to proceed.  Thank you, *********************.

I feel like I'm being ripped off. They never told me they wouldn't replace the window if a rock hit it. It does not say anywhere in the small print that rock chips are not covered.

****** Glass was started by my grandfather in 1947.  We have been in business 77 years.  This has been accomplished by taking great care of our customers.  We do this with quality work at a fair price.  Our warranty is a lifetime workmanship warranty.  Meaning that anything that we had control over - the workmanship - we warranty.  We do not warranty the glass against flying objects...neither did **** ***** Company when they sold the vehicle to this gentleman.  We are not willing to replace the windshield at no charge, nor will I be giving Mr. ****** a written apology - the reason for both is that we have done nothing wrong.  If the windshield leaks or the car develops rust around the pinchweld, then I would be willing to have further discussion.  Until that time - I consider this matter closed.  Sincerely, **** ******.
