  Absolute nightmare dealing with this solar company. They botched the installation so badly my roof leaked and now theres mold in my attic because of their incompetence. They refuse to own up or fix the damage, and their customer service is a jokeignoring me and dodging responsibility at every turn. If you value your home and sanity, stay far away from these guys.

  The 1 star is for the salesman.. honest and a stand-up guy.. now for the bad.. When we had Sun Solar at the house.. and ended up signing the lease agreement, we were told (and we have proof via text) that it was a lease that we could terminate at any time.. simple phone call and they would come and remove the system and all would be good. Due to circumstances out of our control (health, discovered afterwards) we are having to sale our house. Made the phone call, and guess what.. it doesn't work that way.. you HAVE to pay everything that is owed ($47,000) first. If we had that, maybe we would not have the need to sale our house.. asked, and gave them 4 months.. was promised they were willing to work with us.. Now, 3 weeks before our house sale finalizes, they tell us this.. The purchasing agent does not want the solar.. we will not be able to take it with us.. they will not buy it at a reduced rate (us taking a big lose) or nothing.. not even a year old.. I HAVE NEVER GAVE A BAD REVIEW.. but this company deserves it.. Lawers are next..

  We would absolutely not recommend sun solar. The guy that came out and talked to us about getting sun solar told us with the system we were paying for, our electric bill would be no more than 10 or 20 dollars at most! Big lie. I've had electric bills as high as $500. Now had storm damage and needed my roof replaced and sun solar is charging ****** to remove and replace the panels. Which by the way only took 4 hrs to remove. Ridiculous, they're ripping people off! The roof replacement didn't even cost that much. And they're doing all the work. Terrible how they can rip people off like that and get away with it! I would put 0 stars if I could! What a mistake! Don't go with sun solar!!

  This review is not for Sun Solar's products or installation, but for poor customer relations, specifically from one employee: ***.I got an estimate a while back for a residential install. After some time we determined the project was not suitable for the house due to roof problems. I was still interested with trying to install panels somewhere and after some time had passed, they called again asking if I wanted to proceed. I said I would be interested in a carport mount if it could be done. About this time, they assigned my project to a ***, whom I had never worked with before.I quickly got the idea he was there to get me off their potential customer list. He would ask unrelated questions and belittle about why I had not proceeded with the project. This continued, and eventually I unfortunately took his bait and said I did not want to work with him anymore.He is a disgrace to his company. No employee should treat any potential customer that way; if they think a property is unsuitable for a project, just say so. To press someone why they haven't proceeded and laugh at their answers is the worst sort of person you can have in a customer "service" capacity. The only way to address this is to review the company as a whole, which may actually be a great company and just made some bad hiring choices.

  Installed 24 panels in 2022 Love them! **************** is great. Waited on meter parts but system worked fine the whole time, I just couldn't see my production. The install crew accidentally damaged my gutter, it was repaired at their expense by a gutter company . I did have to call and remind them once, but it was happily repaired .Solar has eliminated my electric bill from April to September and greatly reduced it during the winter . No regrets!Everyone I have dealt with has been pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this company. When reading bad reviews remember most reviews are written by angry customers. I didn't leave this review earlier because I was happy and didn't think about it

  Absolutely abysmal response once you have an issue. I requested ZERO ***** products used in my installation. I returned home to find Tesla Inverters and who knows what else installed in my project. I still have holes in my yard awaiting the project to be completed. Since I addressed this issue, I have been ghosted by the company. What a poor representation of the Solar industry this company has been! I wish I had read these reviews before selecting this company.

  Our panels have been down since August. They have came out multiple times after cancelling ever since appt because of not enough man power. Each time they come out, if they do, its always something different. The problem is never fixable and parts are always being ordered. They came to our house and said they could not do anything because they didnt have a ladder. What solar panel company doesnt bring a ladder? We also talked to the tech on site and said we placed a ladder for him and he acknowledged and said he would use it. Now we have to wait another month for a 2 man crew to fix the issue. This company will not help in any way. We have spent over $900 in bills for electricity since the panels have been out. They will not reimburse any of it. The panels have been paid off since July. This is ridiculous and would not recommend this company if you have any kind of issue with your panels because you will get the run around.

  My biggest issue with Sun Solar is that there is not a single point of contact. When we were to get energy saving insulation etc in my home they REFUSED to put it in. I have a multi level roof and the insulation guys said that they wont put in the insulation if they have to take down the attic fan to do it. I said - well you didnt have a problem taking it down to install the solar panel wiring etc. and I was told that that was a different division. So I paid over 42k for a system and they will not put insulation in the top level roof. Im very disappointed. Id love to show them the math for the savings LOSS without the so called insulation and energy savings. You cannot get satisfaction. You get passed from person to person and I finally gave up. The salesman was AWESOME and when he was still working for them he tried to solve all of the issues. I recommended my daughter and SIL for solar too - just problems and difficulty in getting resolution.

  I cannot express how disappointed I am with my experience with Sun Solar. This experience has been so awful, I 100% regret spending over $42,000 on this system.They have continuously not shown up or rescheduled inspections, leaving the solar system useless and inactive on my roof. Their customer service has been abysmal. There is no reason I should be calling ****************, ******, and Sun Solar to try and get Sun Solar to show up, after they told me to show up and they don't. I have missed multiple days off work due to their poor judgement, so unless you want no-call-no shows from these guys, and being left at home waiting for an inspection, avoid this company.
