      **** Sanitation located in ******* MO failed to remove my account from auto pay through www.trashbilling.com and I was charged $75 on 6/3/2024. This account was closed and service discontinued in May of 2023. I was unable to get ahold of them to correct this discrepancy because they are not open Tuesdays or Thursdays. I did leave a message for them to contact me when they open. Since they processed the payment yesterday and are not open today I am unable to cancel the transaction before it is fully processed.

      I had returned a call from ********************* as soon as I received the message in regard to the error in billing. This was taken care of within minutes of it being done. The bill was reversed and there was no withdrawal from the customers account. As far as I was aware this situation was taken care of.

      For several years this company has occasionally missed a trash pickup and not once offered a later pickup or partial refund or prorated bill... In January I was sent a letter telling me that they were raising their prices and that if I wanted to pay what I had been paying I would have to supply my own trash bin so I purchased one... I then forgot to change the bill pay amount in my bank from $25 to $23 and so was overpaying for many months by $2... Last week my trash was not picked up so this morning when they skipped it again I went into the street with my camera to document it... at which point they briefly stopped and the person that is too unprofessional to return a phone call for a week told me that I had they had not picked up for 2 weeks because I only paid $13 for two months in the summer... I occasionally don't put out my can when I do not have enough trash to justify it and between those incidents and overpaying $2 for 5 months at the beginning of the year I would think we are even but this company wants to be petty over $10 or $20 so I am washing my hands of them and asking for a refund for the amount I have paid in 2022 to help offset the cost of my garbage bin that was purchased because of their rate change letter at the beginning of January...

      In response to the customer's complaint...the only time we do not pick up trash is if we have bad weather or the customer is delinquent, and in this case he is delinquent.  If we do not pick up in bad weather we pickup the allowed amount for the week we didn't pick up on your next scheduled day of pick up weather permitting.  We have a set rate per month.  The customer doesn't get to decide what they want to pay due to not having trash out or enough trash to be picked up one week.  If the customer pays in full we will get all trash that is allowed for the weeks he or she wasn't picked up.

      In regard to the customer saying he overpaid he is correct, however his account was already in arrears.  He has not always paid through bill pay with his bank.  He has also paid with cash and money order.

      In reference to the customer videotaping me...when myself and my coworker pulled up he immediately started cussing demanding I get out and get his trash.  I tried explaining the entire time he was videoing me and cussing and yelling at me.  I told him he had shorted his payment for two months and he continued to cuss me and use foul language and called me a cunt. At that point I rolled my window up and drove off due to feeling threatened.  I have sent numerous statements and tried calling him several times however all I got was a busy signal.  He has never had an email on file with us for his billing.  We are not being petty just providing a service that has a set rate per month and it doesn't matter if you set trash out one time per month or 4 times per month it is still the same rate.  You can't go to the gas station and pump $50.00 worth of fuel and demand that you are only going to pay for $20.00 of it because you are only going to use $20.00 worth.

      The customer was notified of how the billing was when he started service and he was also told the rules for bad weather and what holidays we pick up.  Considering he is several miles down a gravel road and the road is not taken care of when we get bad weather such as ice and snow.

      We will not be compensating the customer for the months he is asking for.  He owes a bill and service has been terminated due to that.  We have the right to refuse service to anyone.  He has even admitted that he owes the bill yet you are still contacting me as if we the Company are in the wrong.  We provided a service and expect to be paid for it.  We are not a member of the BBB.

      This customer has also run our business down on social media.   I am sorry but this is not acceptable and yet he is saying we are petty.  We are a business providing a service to thousands of customers and pride ourselves in doing a great job and going above and beyond for our customers when treated with respect.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The company claims I have an unpaid bill from July but has been picking up my trash up until 3 weeks ago... I started paying with my bank when the people I had to pay in person stopped taking my money orders for Kuhn's because since the beginning of my professional relationship with Kuhn's they have not accepted a credit card... the only business I deal with that does not take credit cards or has a website or even a facebook page... their driver was exceptionally rude while I was trying to discuss a solution by driving off and a phone call placed and voicemail left was not returned since the day the trash pickup was intentionally skipped 3 weeks ago... Enough is enough... Kuhn's has no shortage of sycophants in the area but hopefully through publicly available review sites I can let others know about my terrible experience with this company that has been operating long enough to be better than this...
