I have dealt with washington smiles for almost a year now trying to figure out my correct bill. I had received a dental checkup on 12/22/23 and was told I owed nothing before I had left the facility as it was covered by my insurance. Had heard nothing until late June/early July when I was billed a full amount of $388. When I contacted washington smiles, they had never even filed a ticket with my insurance. I asked twice in person and once on the phone leading up to my appointment on 12/22/23 if they had my insurance on file. Not i have received a bill for around 75 less in September (lost paper proof of this second bill) and now I have another for $****** as of 12/3/24. What isn't making sense is why I'm receiving this bill when my insurance explanation of benefits shows I owe 0 and when I call my insurance, they cannot give me a definite answer on why it shows I owe 0 according to the benefits and why I have a seperate ****** bill from Washington smiles. I would like to figure out what exactly I owe because I beleive I should not owe due to an error on their end since they failed to file a claim when I had walked in in December of 2023.
