      Date 6/08/2024 They redid my home after a bad storm.I had them replace the steps off my deck the lumber used was not good it is already warping and splitting the workmanship looks like a five year old child did it. I paid them almost $4,300.00 to do the steps. I am sending you pictures. I have contacted them they sent the same person and all he did was tighten some screws that were sticking up. I have sent them pictures again about two weeks ago and have heard nothing back. All Im asking is redo the steps correctly with good treated lumber and a ********* that knows how to do the job correctly. Or refund the money ($4,000.00) to me so I can hire someone capable.

      I agreed to use ARS construction to replace my roof and siding after the hail storm that hit North OFallon in March of 2024. Initially they were very responsive in getting everything rolling and even got my roof completed fairly quickly compared to my neighbors. They then came out and cut a piece of siding to get a match. Someone came out once siding was ordered and delivered to ensure it match and not only did they not communicate if it matched but they left the piece of siding they removed from the box laying on the side of my lawn. I've called multiple times for follow *** and was promised the owner of the company would be calling me within 30mins....nothing. Called again stressing that with insurance stipulations work had to be done within a certain time frame. Was told they would expedite and reach out shortly, still no follow up. I have waited 6months and multiple phone calls to get my siding replaced and have still yet to get any type of response from the company. I verified with my insurance that they have not submitted proof of completion of roof and that insurance has approved all work that they said needed to be done. Now outside of the requirement for the insurance for reimbursement for the rest of the work to be completed I have to foot the bill for another company to complete the remainder of the work.

      I am writing to formally retract the complaint I previously submitted to the Better Business Bureau regarding ARS Construction.  Upon further review and consideration, I wish to withdraw my statement and any associated claims.

      Back in April we had hail damage to our home. ARS construction came out in May to put the roof on. Great job. But we are still waiting for the rest of the house to be fixed. We are waiting on a garage door, siding, gutters, window screens, both sliding door screens, window replacement, outside light and outlet covers replaced. We both have tried to contact the owners but they never call back, instead we have talked to a couple of project managers. Nothing is happening. We cancelled our vacation in June because we were told we would get out gutters and siding, nothing. Here we are the end of October, can't get anyone to return a call or text.

      This job took longer than expected due to insurance delays which is out of our control. We also were frustrated with the timeline - with all the severe hailstorms in spring/summer 2024 we have seen insurance taking much longer than normal catching up with the backlog of caseloads during the year.

      The job has since been completed in a timely manner as soon as insurance completed their back end work and we were greenlit. All work related to the scope of the project has since been finished.

      Forgot to mention in last response - siding material was ordered once insurance greenlit and as soon as that arrives we will complete that last component of the project, along with screens and other exterior work that coincides with the timeline of the siding install. This will all happen in a timely manner as soon as it touches down. Thank you for your patience and please understand the bulk of all these delays was due to insurance being backlogged from all the claims this past hail season.

      1/24/2025 PE:  Phoned consumer and left vm.  Informed her of the status of mediation and mediator assignment.  She called back and some of the work still is not done and she doesn't know (the company hasn't communicated) when the other items will be completed:  window replacement, 2 outlet covers, and an electrical light outside need to be finished.  Last message from the company was 1/22/2025 via text ******* project manager, saying that they would be out this week(garage door people came) but they didn't show to do the other work.  This is an insurance job; insurance has not paid out the company yet. Even the insurance company has encouraged them to complete the work.  Agreed with her that an email could be sent to the business asking when they anticipated the completion of the balance of the work. 

      1/30/2025 PE:  Left vm for consumer after speaking to ***** ****** (new owner due to his brother's death).  Want to hear from her that the job has been completed to her satisfaction.  ***** claims that it has and that she is satisfied.  Insurance will pay the bulk of the job; she will owe a balance.  Asked for a return call; provided my direct dial number.

      1/31/2025 PE:  Spoke with the consumer after she left vm.  The project is NOT finished; weather has kept it from being completed.  What remains is:  the basement window to be replaced, 2 outlet covers, and one outdoor light.  Will call the business to see iwhen next week they can complete the work.  Weather looks favorable.

      2/4/2025 PE:  Consumer called all repairs have been made to her satisfaction.  She thanked BBB for its help in solving the issues.

      1/30/2025 PE:  Reached out to business since there had been no response.  ********* ****** passed away and his brother, ***** is now the owner.  Updated the record.  ***** stated that the consumer's job is being paid for by the insurance.  She is in receipt of the insurance check and is happy with the work.  Last time he spoke to her was just 1/24/2025.  Will reach out to the consumer.

      1/31/2025 PE:  Reached out to ***** via phone.  The window needs to be ordered and they will be out there as soon as it arrives.  Approximately two weeks.

      10/14/2023 - signed contract with company to complete our house due to Hail/ storm damage. 12/22/2023 - they started on our house, siding/ roof done. They have mis ordered the front windows twice the wrong size. Fast forward to April - third time had windows out of our house, only to realize the 3rd order of windows were wrong. So they patched house back together. They improperly replaced siding, where it is loose and hanging from house, old windows they put back very poorly not well sealed in do not have any sort of frame around them so water is going behind the loose siding / windows and down front of house every time it rains. Installed a sliding door that is almost two inches to short and mocked it to fit. Can barely open the door, will not pass a home inspection. Which also will cause more damage down the road. Every time I call to speak to someone about getting something done or corrected I get a story, weather isnt great. Weather here ***** sunny no chance of rain, windows broke on truck unloading so have to reorder. Multiple I will have manager/ owner call you back. Doesnt happen. Owner ***** called once and was very unprofessional and more just lies to bid time. They keep requesting more money from insurance and our insurance company said do not pay anything until job is complete and your satisfied. They have already received more than enough to finish our house, and our house is no where near being complete. Also fraudulent charges of work they are not completing is being added to our account. I have tried to be very civil, and work with this company they have good reviews online. However its been almost a year, of back and forth and nothing has been completed out of the whole contract we made. Poor to no communication, at this point I feel we need our money back to hire a different company to fix the damage they have caused and complete our house.

      In December of 2023 I contracted with ARS to fix a number of items damaged by hail that month. ARS worked with my home owners insurance company and was paid to put on a new roof, vinyl siding, Shutters, broken windows and screens and new flooring and railings on our deck. They were given a check by me for close to $50,000 for the work. Additionally, I contracted with them to do additional work not damaged by hail which included painting the concrete portion of my home, power washing my concrete patio and adding an extention onto my deck for which I gave them a down payment. To date the have completed the roof and siding, after 6 months completed the Shutters and have yet to replace the broken window and a couple of screens and have not even begun the deck or it's extention. A schematic for the deck has been created, but has not been submitted to the City of ********** for a permit. Unless someone puts some pressure to bear on this company I am afraid they will delay the building of my deck going into the fall, if ever. The problems seems to be in the fact that they do not do the work themselves, but are subcontracting the work to not so reliable sub contractors. So far I have paid ARS $7,000 for the repair of the deck and $4,000 for a down payment on its extention.I am 84 yrs. old and don't have much time left to enjoy my deck. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

      We had ***** come to our house and we decided to go with the company. They did the roof and the gutters. It took them a bit to come back and do the siding. When they done our siding, it was supposed to be the side with the driveway only. The guys that didn't speak any english done part of the side with the driveway and then done one small part of the front of my house. Now my house didn't match. Not only that, they didn't replace any of the weather barrier. When we contacted *****, they decided to make the rest of the front of the house match. Okay that was fine, but the 2nd set of guys came out and they didn't speak any english either and their supervisior was no where to be found. They started on the wrong part of the house. Then REPLACED NONE of the weather barrier. Had zero care for any of our property including our vehicles. One laughed when he hit the vehicles with the siding. I had to sit outside for 4 hrs babysitting these guys so they didn't keep destroying my stuff. ****** the supervisor showed up 4 hrs after he was called and then jumped in my face. He was over 6ft tall and I am only 5'5. Then one of his guys jumped out of the truck with a hammer, like he was going to come after us. I have fought to have my house fixed from their mistakes and they think $1.000 should fix everything. I know that is exactly what they paid my neighbor when he wasn't satisfied with the job they done for him either. Then they make people sign a paper so that they can't bad mouth the company. Well I didn't sign anything. The owner Christian treats women like they should have no say in anything and that their opinions don't matter. I have the whole roll of weather barrier sitting here and plenty of pictures to prove that they didn't do the job right. They shouldn't have made the mistakes if they didn't want to fix them. Now, all my siding has to be redone and they don't want to pay for it!! They have the high rating because of making people sign the paper.

      WITH ALL DUE RESPECT-

      ARS has gone above and beyond for ****** ******* and ******* ****** at *** * * ****** *********** **.

      1- We completed the roof in May2023

      2- We attempted to replace the siding on one side and I will admit that the scope of work was wrong and that we only did partial siding per the insurance and should have done the complete left side.  This mistake ARS admitted too and made further concessions to rectify the situation.  (See below) 

      3- We also completed the gutters and downspouts per the insurance scope in mid June2023.  At that time Mr ******* signed a CERTIFICATE of COMPLETION- indicating that the job was completed to their standards and paid in full.   We assumed everything was GOOD.

      3- I then received a call in late July and I visited the job site and spoke to Mr ******* and Ms ****** was present as well.   Mr ******* and I agreed that a good fix would be too redo the rest of the front (approx 700sf) of siding so that the house would look better.  This compromise cost the *******/****** NOTHING, ARS did way more siding than was originally contracted for.  Ms ****** was present- not sure what her comment about treating women is related too, she had every opportunity to agree or disagree with our compromise.   I have no issues with Ms ****** or women in general and I find her comment to be very suspect as I have had very little communication with her.  I would suggest she refrain from making false accusations- as ARS is a 22yr+ SOLID BBB A+ Company and have very few problems.

      4- We sent a crew and worked on the rest of the siding on the front of the house.   For some reason things got out of line again, we have a police report - stating that Mr ******* pulled a gun on our crew.   I rushed to the job site and calmed all parties down and assured everyone that we would finish what we started.   The siding was completed that evening and everything was done accordingly to the INSURANCE SCOPE and then some at that point.

      ARS Construction:  has done ALL that we can do, and are very confident that the contract that was signed has been completed properly and there are NO OPEN ISSUES!  NO PROPERTY WAS DAMAGED to our knowledge and in fact their residence is in far better shape now than it was before the HAIL/WIND Storm that occurred.   Brand new roof, gutters and more siding was replaced than had originally been allocated by their homeowners insurance!

      I am rejecting this response because: One, the problem was never fixed. Yes, we may have got more siding done than we were supposed to, but it wasn't done correctly. The police did show up here, but there is no police report on file because your guys called them after ****** wanted to jump into my face. If there was a gun pulled on your guys, WHY would you have let your employees come back to our house to finish a job?? I think you have just showed how much you care about money and not your employees. lol You offered us $200 for scratches on the cars. Then you offered my husband liquor trying to smooth things over with him and all we wanted was the weather barrier replaced which it didn't get done. It needed replaced. ****** tried to fix things and offered $1,000, but yet you say you done the job right. If you done the job right, we wouldn't have received any of these offers.  You were doing 98mph to get here because you know ****** causes problems at jobs all the time.

      I am rejecting this response because: I have cameras on my house that show where they hit the cars with siding. I have text messages from your guy even talking about how you are known to try and bribe customers with liquor and money to make problems like this go away. I have text messages about being offered $1,000 to have someone remove the siding and replace the weather barrier. (Because that is all that you would offer to fix the mistake your crew supposedly didn't do)

      We signed a hand written contract with ARS Contractors on 3-28-2023 and the promise was to give us a typewritten contract because we could not read it. They sent an email backdated and did not include all the things we asked for in the original contract. We called the company and we cancelled the contract. They said they would bring us a check. We paid $3,500 down on a $10000 contract. They are giving us the runaround. They were supposed to bring the refund yesterday and I haven't heard from them.
      They couldn't give me a live person to talk with about this.

      We want to cancel the contract and get a refund.

      We received a call yesterday with Mr ********'s concerns.   We have DONE NOTHING WRONG, we have a signed contract and yes deposit $ was exchanged.   In good faith, I agreed yesterday to refund the customers $ however Mr ******** needs to understand that a multi million door corporation cant just drop everything and come to him, we are extremely busy!   I PROIMISED A REFUND AND I WILL MAKE SURE THAT HAPPENS IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.   DEMANDING A REFUND AND EXPECTING IT THE SAME DAY IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

      June 2022, this company replaced the roof and soffit on my home. The first rain I had leak in my living room that caused damage to my ceiling. The company came back out and sealed the chimney area, but have failed to keep their promise to repair my ceiling or to address the concerns I have with the raised roofing and torn shingles on the back of my home near the gutter edge. They keep scheduling appointments then do not show up, they are giving me a huge run around.
