On 05-Mar-2024 at approximately 8:00 p.m., I returned from vacation to find water running out of my garage. Entering the house, found there was a major water leak. After some investigation, shut off water near clothes washer suspected source of water leak. Called *********** ******* Plumbing who agreed they would come the next morning. On 06-Mar-2024, after several phone calls and finding a friend to come and shut off the water that was still flowing, *********** ******* finally arrived in the evening and, with my help, discovered the leak was from several broken pipes coming up from the slab. *********** ******* Plumbing repaired the leak. *********** ******* contact recommended Restoration 1 to do the water cleanup. Restoration 1 arrived and worked the water damage remediation. The bill provided by Restoration 1 contained over $1700.00 worth of charges for work NOT performed at my house. I immediately documented the discrepancy and reported it to **************************** who worked to get the bill adjusted. To add insult to injury, Restoration 1 eagerly volunteered to take my 28-year-old 8x10 ft. Red and Black Heriz oriental rug to be cleaned. They returned some other worn-out rug and claimed they could not find my rug that was in perfect condition had been under my dining room table for the last 28 years. Oriental rugs appreciate in cost over time original cost $1417.75. I consulted with several local rug companies who advised it would cost at least $3000.00 to replace my rug with something even close to comparable. After several weeks of pleading with Restoration 1 to find and return my rug and back-and-forth regarding an acceptable price to settle this issue, to preserve my sanity, I finally accepted $1800.00. I felt totally violated. I have still not found a comparable replacement for my rug.
