Purchased a processional 8 burner gas range double oven from Viking. Wanted to buy a US made product. Have had this stove 5 years and have had to have the motherboard replaced 2xs. First time it was under their horrible warranty of 1 year-second time it cost me $1200 to replace it. Have tried many times to visit with someone about this and have sent all records of repair. No help and now correspondence has completely stopped. Why buy US made if they will not stand by their products? I waited many years to be able to afford the range of my dreams, bad dream nowViking Range, LLC

Thank you for your review *****. We are sorry to learn of the issue you have encountered. While we would hope to never have a repair on an appliance, unfortunately, it does happen.
Viking Range has one of the best warranties on appliances in the market. We've even added an extra one-year warranty on parts purchased from us and installed by our authorized service providers. As with all products, there is a beginning warranty date and an end date. Again, we are sorry you encountered an issue. We will have an agent to reach out to you today since you have not been able to reach anyone. Sincerely Middleby ResidentialJanet B

Viking has never reached out to me as they stated in their response.
We will be checking with a lawyer involving the “lemon” law.
Living in a timber frame home with an oven that turns itself on and cleans itself in the middle of the night is not safe. Not gonna wait for the house to burn down..
This is the 3rd time in less than 5 1/2 years this has happened.Review fromBetty D.

I will never buy another VIKING Product! I bought a Viking Stove at the end of *************************** 2021 and the stove has never worked properly. I bought from ******** Corporation in ************, ** and they could have sent back to Manufacturer but did not. The stove door was clearly not correct as insulation around glass was coming out. The stove was shutting off while baking. Lost of wasted food. Finally got that fixed then the Broiler quit. High End appliances should last a lifetime. Mine did not last many months. Still does not work and neither ********************* (where I bought) or Middleby Management ( Who bought Viking in 2013) made no effort to replace stove. I was never able to talk to anyone at Viking as Middleby had all phone calls go to one call center. I tried all the Mississippi numbers but was never able to contact them. When Multi Billion Dollar Corporations do not stand behind their products, we have a problem. I REALLY DO NOT EVEN GIVE THEM ONE STAR.Viking Range, LLC

STAY AWAY FROM VIKING APPLIANCES BUYER BEWARE. Do NOT get fooled by the Viking name. These appliances are complete trash and you will spend tens of thousands of dollars for cheap equipment that is inconsistent and unreliable. Do yourself a favor and just buy the mid-range ********************* stuff from Lowes. You will be better off.On January 31, 2024 I purchased a brand new full suite of Viking appliances - French door Double Oven, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Induction Range top, Drawer microwave - for $31,000.Since I have had these appliances, I called for service/repair more times than I've ever had to for ALL of my appliances combined.Double Oven The oven temperature gauge is faulty and the temperature fluctuates wildly between ***** degrees - I can't tell you how many meals that got burned to a crisp why the temp gauge was set to 350 There is NO digital temp readout on the oven There is NO way to tell what temp your oven is actually unless you buy an aftermarket oven probe Dishwasher It stopped cleaning dishes about 9 months into ownership Service came our multiple times, said it user error; also blamed a clogged filter The problem remained, got worse, eventually the unit threw an error code After 4 service visits they agreed to order parts to fix it Parts have been on indefinite backorder I have been without a functional dishwasher for 2 months Microwave Finicky and delicate - it stopped working a few weeks in; the tech had to come out to reset it Refrigerator/Freezer The freezer ice maker arm was broken when we got it and a tech came out to fix it; it still breaks periodically and we fix it ourselves The freezer later just stopped working and had to be rebuilt around month 6 Viking is a total scam. The materials are flimsy, nothing works are advertised or expected and to make all these matters worse, customer service is ABHORRENT. I would do ANYTHING to get rid of these appliances and just buy a normal residential suite from a big box store.Viking Range, LLC

I bought a series 5 induction range just before thanksgiving. The oven did not work since the day it was delivered. This makes me believe they intentionally sold a defective range. And now there is a 61 day back order for the wiring harness which hasn’t been manufactured yet. Will be filing complaints w atty general. And looking into a class action suit.
Viking is not what it used to be. I previously owned a Viking range for over 15 years w no problems.Viking Range, LLC

Terrible customer service. Have been waiting 3 weeks for a replacement part that was supposed to arrive and didn't. Now they have no estimated delivery. I am stuck with only 1 burner for Thanksgiving. Don't care about existing customers at all. Website to leave feedback also doesn't work. Will never buy another Viking product.Viking Range, LLC

1 starWe bought an expensive Viking built-in wine cellar in 2018. It needed service primarily replacing the same broken plastic fan several times beginning the first year. Now that the warranty expired two years ago, the temperature alarm controller according to the authorized technician is broken. We are risking damaging our collection of wine. Viking says it no longer produce this “part” and despite our plea, is offering no solution. It is hard to accept Viking would just walk away from it’s responsibility of servicing it’s product that costed 5-figures just 5 years ago.Review fromUma S

2 starsOrdered ******** outdoor built in grill in May 2022 and was installed mid August 2022. The product is not manufactured correctly as live wires are left exposed, which caused a 'Thermal event' on July 4th 2023.
Why on earth would almost $9K outdoor grill not have all live wire fully encased? When I reached the company, I was told the instillation was incorrect as the installer had not installed the insulation jacket and the instruction are in the installation manual
Why on earth Viking does not make its outdoor built in grill where in all live wires are fully encased and charge for it too? When I am spending almost $9 K for the built in grill, I do not mind spending a bit extra for the live wires to be totally encased.
Now my outdoor grill is unusable.Review fromAndy O

1 starI need a part for our trash compactor. When calling Viking they said the part will not be available. I asked to talk to a manager, they stated the manager will contact me vie eMail, NO CONTACT. The part is a Interlock Activator #028627-000. I am faced with a decision to replace a $1k appliance for a $4 part. Our kitchen has all Viking appliances. I can only say that getting parts has been a long-term issue for several of the appliances. My advice to anyone, DO NOT purchase Viking appliances. In our kitchen remodel going with all Viking appliances (6) is the one decision we truly regret.Review fromQuincy M

1 starI purchased a Viking range in the Spring of 2021 and it arrived September 2021. Since the arrival of the range and now a year later, it has had constant issues and still does not work correctly. So far I have had all 4 burners replaced, the front fascia, the grates, and now most recently the LED lights on the control knobs are no longer functioning as well as the oven temperature sensors/board have ceased working. The oven consistently overheats 25-50 degrees depending on the temperature setting. Further, the oven door does not close correctly as it appears the frame itself of the range has warped. I have had appliance technicians out multiple times through Viking's authorized repair and they have recommended this unit be replaced or refunded. Viking has not helped here.
In the most recent attempt at servicing, the appliance technician went to remove the oven door so that he could fix the oven temperature sensor/boards, but found the door is physically stuck in place and cannot be removed. Like other reviewers steer clear of Viking and stick with any other brand.
