  We hired American Ironworks to install a driveway gate at our home in September of 2021. They were seemingly friendly and professional and it looked great. But not for long..
  A few months later we began having issues. The gate was not installed properly and began shifting and scraping the ground. They also admitted that the operator box they installed was faulty and not working correctly. In the beginning, they would answer the phones and come out to fix it after a few days of contacting them. That only lasted a few months.
  3 years later, here we are and they've gone radio silent on us. Over the last few months, we have texted and called every number we have for them/ their employees. One time we finally got someone to come out and he had me pay HIM personally (not the company) via venmo for the work done and then one month later it was broken again. We spent thousands of dollars installing this gate and expect to be treated fairly given their incompetence of installation is what is causing the faulty gate to begin with. I would not suggest anyone to use this company.

  I need to share my experience about **** and his crew with American Iron Works, and it’s been pretty frustrating. Despite them claiming to stand by their work and offering a warranty, my journey with them has been quite the opposite.
  First off, the job took way longer than expected—months longer. Trying to get a response from them? Almost impossible. Now, less than a year later, my fence is a mess. It’s leaning, not straight, and the gate is a nightmare. Multiple holes in everything, it honestly is just terrible. Would have done better to hire some kids.
  There are missing screws all over the place, causing posts to wobble or just give out. I have been trying to rescrew the cheap ones they use that fall out. even tried tying them together the panels with rope, but that’s clearly not a real fix. And good luck trying to get them to respond now—they’re radio silent.
  My advice to anyone thinking of hiring them: don’t pay until you’ve checked every inch of that fence. The warranty they brag about? Non-existent when you actually need them to fix something.

  I made a agreement with American Iron Works to install a fence around my back yard. They had me pay an Acceptance fee and another payment when the posts were put in. They have never come back to finish. I have call them and text no contact back from them.

  On January 26, 2023, this company installed an electric gate and did extra work on a wooden fence. They did an excellent job at a good price. I paid in full when the job was done at the end of the day. The next two days I needed a replacement battery for the gate; I called, they came and replaced the battery at no charge to me. They have been outstanding to work with.

  American iron Works, 14173 Midway Rd., Terry MS, is nothing but a Scam? They sold us a gate system on July 30, 2020,for $2500.00. It worked or 6 months when the left gate arm failed under warranty. They came out and removed it for repair under warranty in November of 2021. It took 11 months for them to respond. They said the arm had to be returned to the factory for repair under warranty. As of 1-06-2023 and many phone calls, they have not returned our gate arm. we have called and they do not answer the phone. We even drove 60 miles to their so called address. There is nothing there but an old run down house, with boats and junk around it. We have lost $2500.00 plus two years of frustration. This company is nothing but liars and scam artist! I would rate them a "0"

  This company is a scam! They did our fence and made us pay them cash before they left and have never come back to finish. They text a few times saying they were coming but now they won’t answer our calls or text. Our fence is still not finished 4 months later.

  I made a agreement with American Iron Works to install chain link fence in Mobile County.
  The proposal was made in late March 2022 and I agreed to pay 50% of the total price in advance so the contractor could order materials for the work.
  After payment was sent and the check cashed by American Iron Works, the work was never done.
  The company owner claimed to be sick with lung infection and next he had to take retirement because of health issues.
  The Business was then turned over to Owners brother-in-law ***** ******.
  Several dates to inststall fence were no shows.
  Two text messages from **** ****** stating that my money would be returned to me via mail turned out to be false.
  I then ask assistance from Mobile County Sheriff department.
  They were successful in talking with **** ****** and they were told that Mr ****** was to draft a letter to me explaing or discussing how they planned to resolve the issue
  The letter never came.
  It is now October 4th, 2022--seven months after we made the agreement and American Ironworks has yet attempted to make arrangements to refund my deposit.
  I can text and leave messages almost daily.
  No one answers the calls, responds to text messages or answers messages left on their cell and office phones.
  Please Anyone that is thinking of doing business with American IronWorks, make time to check into the reviews for their company.
  I didn't!! My MISTAKE.
